A squad of ard officers stood on the rooftop, weapons aid on a single man.

Lucian.

The na struck fear into criminals and elites alike. He wasn’t just a fugitive—he was a specter of vengeance, whispered in dark corners and broadcasted on every news channel. Wanted for the assassinations of corrupt officials, corporate overlords, and underground kingpins, his bounty had soared to an astronomical ten million dollars.

And tonight, the hunt had reached its climax.

Low sirens wailed in the streets below, their echoes blending with the restless murmur of a growing crowd. Dozens of civilians had gathered, their phones raised, eager to capture the mont justice would be served—or chaos would unfold.

For the officers, this should have been a victory. Yet, as they stared down the blood-streaked figure standing at the rooftop’s edge, unease crept into their veins.

Lucian stood tall, unbothered. His black coat clung to his body, drenched in fresh blood—a brutal testant to the corpses he had left behind. The remnants of Secure Corporate’s highest executives still stained his clothes.

"Get on your knees and raise your hands!" an officer barked.

"Try to run, and I’ll empty this damn clip into you," another threatened.

Lucian sighed, running a hand through his blood-matted hair. His gaze swept across them, unimpressed.

"Do you idiots even understand what’s happening?" he muttered. "You think this is a victory, don’t you?"

The lead officer tightened his grip on his rifle. "You’re finished, Lucian. We’ve got you surrounded."

Lucian let out a sharp, mirthless laugh. "Surrounded?" He took a slow step toward the ledge. "If I wanted to escape, I would’ve done it downstairs. You think I ran all the way up here because I’m trapped?"

In one swift motion, he kicked off his blood-soaked shoe, sending it flying toward them. Several officers flinched, instinctively dodging as if expecting an attack.

Lucian smirked. "Pathetic."

"Quit stalling and—"

"Stalling?" Lucian’s gaze darkened. "Tell , officer... where were you when they needed justice?"

The question froze the air.

Lucian exhaled slowly. "People like you... you play hero when the caras are on. But where were you when a family was slaughtered in their own ho? Where were you when the powerful crushed the innocent?" His voice turned razor-sharp. "Oh, right. You were getting paid."

A flicker of hesitation crossed the officer’s face.

Lucian chuckled bitterly. "That’s why I did your job for you. That’s why I cleaned up the filth you ignored."

He turned toward the edge, lifting his arms slightly.

"Wait—he’s gonna jump!" soone shouted.

Panic spread through the ranks.

"Shit—shoot him before he—"

Lucian turned his head slightly, a rare, genuine smile playing on his lips.

"Too slow."

And with that, he stepped off the ledge.

The wind howled past his ears as he plumted. The city lights blurred into streaks of gold and red, the world tilting in slow motion.

Bullets followed. One tore through his shoulder, another grazed his ribs—but the pain was distant, aningless.

For Lucian, this was freedom.

His mind drifted.

He was five when his world shattered. Five when his parents—ordinary people who had simply exposed the truth—were butchered before his eyes. Their screams had been real. Their blood had been real.

But justice had never been real.

He rembered staring at their lifeless bodies. Rembered the laughter of the n who did it. Rembered the way the police closed the case without a single arrest.

So he had beco justice.

For years, he hunted the ones responsible. Killed them, one by one. At first, it was revenge. But sowhere along the way, it beca sothing more.

The world was filled with monsters in suits, criminals in high places, judges who sold verdicts, officers who took bribes.

Lucian had simply evened the scales.

But now... was it enough?

Lucian exhaled, his heart steady even as the ground rushed toward him.

"Are you watching, Mom? Dad?"

"If there’s a heaven, you’re probably cursing right now."

A soft chuckle escaped his lips.

"I know I’m no hero. But I never killed the innocent. I never hard those who didn’t deserve it."

His vision blurred.

"Maybe... I should’ve killed more."

Then—impact.

A wet THWACK echoed through the street.

The force shattered bone and flesh, painting the pavent in grotesque red. Pedestrians scread. So retched. Others stumbled back, eyes wide with horror.

The officers stood frozen, their hands still gripping their guns.

The livestreams continued rolling. The world bore witness.

A legend had fallen.

But for Lucian...

This wasn’t the end.
