The next day, inside the hotel room in Arhal City.
Cael stood in the center of the room, his arms crossed, surveying the five figures before him.
Frostfla Clone. Black Lightning Clone. Space Clone. Wind Clone.
And Training Maniac Clone.
Yes, Cael had summoned Training Maniac Clone all the way from Everbright Academy.
Well, the cost is just one drop of blood.
He wanted to give the ti elent to Training Maniac Clone.
But looking at the eager expression on Wind Clone’s face, Cael did not know what to do.
He had promised Wind Clone that when he obtained a new special elent, he would give it to him first.
That promise had been made weeks ago, back when Wind Clone literally almost cried. Cael was not the type to forget such things.
He cleared his throat.
"Windy, co here."
Excitedly, Wind Clone stepped forward. His usual cautious deanor was gone, replaced by barely contained anticipation. His hands trembled slightly at his sides.
Cael pressed his index finger against Wind Clone’s forehead and muttered a single word under his breath.
"Transfer."
The air between them shimred. A soft pulse of mana passed from Cael’s finger into Wind Clone’s forehead. The clone’s eyes widened.
Wind Clone gained a special elent. He could feel it settling into his core, warm and foreign and powerful.
Then Wind Clone burst into laughter.
"Finally! A special elent of my own! Hahaha!"
Wind clone was so happy that he even threw away his cautious personality.
His laughter echoed off the hotel walls. He threw his arms up, spun around, and pointed at Black Lightning Clone.
"See this? Do you see this? Ti! I have ti!"
Black Lightning Clone rolled his eyes but said nothing.
Ignoring Wind Clone’s celebration, Cael approached Training Maniac Clone.
The clone stood perfectly still, his hand resting on the hilt of his cracked sword. His eyes were empty, focused on nothing.
Cael pressed his finger against Training Maniac Clone’s forehead.
"Transfer."
Another pulse of mana. Another elent transferred.
Training Maniac Clone did not react. His expression did not change. He simply stood there, absorbing the new power in silence.
Cael turned back to Space Clone.
"Send this guy back to Everbright."
Space Clone nodded.
This was the reason Cael had dared to summon Training Maniac Clone here in the first place.
Training Maniac Clone was his safe line. His ergency escape. His last resort if everything went wrong.
And naturally, Space Clone could not teleport that much distance using the Teleportation skill alone. The range was too far. The mana cost would be lethal.
But Space Clone had perfected a new skill lately.
Spatial Portal.
This skill did not care about distance. As long as Space Clone had been to a place and rembered it clearly, he could open a portal directly to that location.
Unlike Teleportation, which moved the user through space, this skill joined two spatial points and created a doorway between them.
There was one problem, however. Mana consumption was extrely high. Space Clone could not maintain the portal for more than a few seconds.
Cael nodded at his remaining clones, then used Teleportation to return to the Golden Scale Academy.
...
Back in the hotel room, Wind Clone was still boasting.
"You see this? Ti! I can slow things down! I can accelerate things! I can—"
Black Lightning Clone crossed his arms.
"You are acting recklessly. That is not like you."
Wind Clone ignored him. He had thrown away his cautious personality entirely. He was grinning, laughing, and gesturing wildly with his hands.
Frostfla Clone watched from the corner, amused.
The main reason Wind Clone was acting this way was simple. Black Lightning Clone, the trash talker, had always bullied Wind Clone whenever he had the chance.
Always mocked him. Always reminded him that he was the only active clone without a special elent.
Now, Wind Clone had gained a special elent. Not just any special elent. Ti.
He was naturally very happy.
Then, Training Maniac Clone stepped forward as he drew his sword.
Everyone froze.
The blade was old, cracked, and chipped in several places from relentless practice. He held it in front of his face, studying the damage.
The other clones’ expressions changed.
Black Lightning Clone asked.
"What is he doing?"
Frostfla Clone muttered.
"Don’t tell , is he going to train here?"
But Training Maniac Clone did not move. He simply stared at his sword. Then he rubbed his finger along the cracks, tracing each imperfection slowly, deliberately.
The other clones understood.
Space Clone pulled out a spare sword from his spatial storage.
"You can have this swo—"
He stopped his words mid-way.
Not only him, but the other clones’ faces also changed drastically. Wind Clone’s eyes widened. Tears welled up in the corners.
Under their astonished gazes, the sword in Training Maniac Clone’s hand began to repair itself.
The cracks sealed. The chips filled. The blade smoothed.
The sword was experiencing ti reversal.
Wind Clone’s jaw dropped. His voice ca out as a whisper.
"If he received the ti elent... then what did I receive?"
He extended his hand and summoned his new special elent.
And it was Moonlight.
Soft silver light gathered in his palm, cool and gentle. Beautiful.
The room fell silent.
Then Space Clone burst into laughter. He had been a moonlight user before gaining space. He knew exactly what had happened.
"Hahaha! Hahahaha!"
The trash talker, Black Lightning Clone, who had been silent until now, finally spoke.
"All that boasting,"
He said slowly, a grin spreading across his face.
"All that celebrating. And you got moonlight."
He started laughing.
The Frostfla clone muttered,
"Ti went to the guy who never asked for it!"
The space clone shook his head, then stretched his hands.
As he raised his hand, the air in front of him began to twist. A tear ford in reality, edges crackling with spatial energy.
Through the opening, other clones could see the familiar training room, which is in Everbright Academy.
The training manic entered the portal, then the portal slowly started to close.
Seeing that, Wind Clone could only mutter one word, his voice hollow.
"Why?"
