As Cael’s mind raced through nurous thoughts.
The sound of approaching footsteps echoed through the quiet street.
Cael turned back and saw Kira slowly walking toward them.
The silver pillar had already faded, leaving only broken stone, scattered debris, and the faint glow of ergency lights in the distance.
Well... her secret was exposed.
She had no choice but to explain herself to clear any misunderstandings.
"I—"
But Luke, sensing her intentions, stopped her.
"Let’s discuss this elsewhere... and later."
Mira and Cael also nodded in agreent.
Luke imdiately walked over to Cael and checked his injury.
Cael didn’t sit idly either. He took out a healing potion and gulped it down in one go.
Then he pulled out a dical potion and poured it over the cracks on his arm.
The liquid hissed faintly as it touched his skin.
Within minutes, the bleeding slowed.
Soon, the distant sounds of helicopters and approaching vehicles echoed through the night.
Searchlights swept across the damaged streets.
It was the Council’s agents.
Cael was imdiately escorted to the dical van by the dical departnt.
Luke stayed behind to cover the aftermath.
Inside the dical van...
Kira looked at Cael, who was lying on the bed, and asked quietly,
"Do you know it as well?"
Even though she didn’t say it clearly, Cael understood what she ant.
Cael simply nodded.
Kira sighed softly and asked,
"For how long?"
Cael slowly sat up and answered,
"No more than a day."
Kira looked outside through the open door of the van.
Council agents were busily surveying the area, carrying unconscious civilians and placing them on stretchers.
The flashing blue lights painted the street in alternating shadows.
"I see..."
After saying that, Kira slowly walked out.
Cael watched her back but said nothing.
He didn’t know her story.
But from the look on her face, she clearly carried a very heavy past.
"Egh... whatever, not my problem."

On the other side...
Luke and Mira sat side by side on a broken concrete barrier.
Mira leaned her head gently against Luke’s shoulder.
"So, what now?"
Mira asked while looking up at the moon hanging above the quiet city.
Luke stayed silent for a few monts before answering.
"I need to find the path Sovereign took in that tiline... I guess... maybe Elowyn knows about it. No... I will find it, no matter the cost."
Mira suddenly punched Luke’s gut with full force.
"AGH—!"
Luke bent forward slightly.
"What was that for?!"
Luke was completely caught off guard by his fiancée’s action.
Mira lifted her head and glared directly into his eyes.
"What do you an by ’I’?"
"It was ’we’."
Realization dawned on Luke as he nodded slowly.
"Right... I understand."
Luke sighed before continuing.
"Mira... there are things I’ve been hiding from you."
"Things I’m not ready to share yet. Just wait for . When the ti is right... I will tell you everything."
Mira’s eyes softened slightly as she stood up and walked in front of him.
She grabbed Luke’s face with both hands and said softly,
"It’s okay, Luke. I will be here when you need , I will always wait for you-"
Without finishing the sentence, she suddenly kneed Luke in the stomach with full force.
"—GHAK!"
Luke staggered backward in shock.
"Is that what you thought I was going to say?"
Luke stared at her speechlessly.
Mira crossed her arms.
"You know... Cael was learning relationship lessons from Edwin."
"So, I also asked him for advice."
Luke blinked.
"Wait... what?"
Mira continued calmly.
"He said girls should not be submissive and passive. The misunderstandings are also more likely to happen."
"If a girl is too passive, there is a high chance her boyfriend might cheat on her. And that advice wasn’t a lie at all."
Luke looked even more shocked.
"Cael asking relationship lessons from Edwin... and you took advice from him too?"
Mira nodded.

Luke looked at Mira’s sharp glare and sighed internally.

She pounced forward and kissed Luke on the cheek.
Then she whispered softly,
"This is the third advice... Always make up after a fight."
Luke silently updated his ntal note.
’Fine... I will spare Edwin for just this once.’

Cael stepped out of the dical van.
The night air felt cool against his skin.
He had just received a ssage from his wind clone.
Apparently, the wind clone had safely returned to the city from the dungeon.
’Man... what a big day.’
Within the last 24 hours:
Cael had killed Kaiser in front of Council agents and escaped from them. (Black Lightning clone)
He had also entered a dungeon, killed a [Perfect Silver] rank beast, and created the SS-Rank skill Mana Sovereignty. (Main body)
Then, here in District Kazi, he discovered that Kira was a vampire. They uncovered an entire vampire network and saved hundreds of people. (Wind clone main body)
Cael felt ntally exhausted.

Cael glanced at his watch.
Soone had sent him a ssage.
And it was his fiancée.

ELOWYN: Hello

A small smile appeared on his face.
He took out his phone and called her.
-Dial... -Dial...
After a mont, her voice finally reached him.
[Hello.]
Cael found himself a seat on a nearby bench.
"Hi... Elowyn."
[Did you eat your dinner?]
"No- I an yes, I had."
There was a short pause.
[So... you didn’t eat your dinner yet.]
Cael clicked his tongue.
Elowyn had caught him.
"Fine... I haven’t eaten yet. But I had so snacks."

[When will your mission be completed?]
"It just finished."
[Oh!]
"What about your mission?"
[My team is currently in District Neva.]
[Our mission is to supervise the Talent Showcase and ensure nothing goes wrong.]
Cael raised an eyebrow.
"Talent showcase?"
[Yes.]
[People from all over the world will co to display their unique abilities and talents.]
"Sounds grand... and risky."
[I know, right?]
[But don’t worry. There is a [Mythril] ranker stationed here.]
[Our team’s job is only to gain experience. [Diamond] and [Platinum] rankers are already monitoring the area.]
Cael chuckled.
Compared to his chaotic day, Elowyn’s mission sounded unbelievably peaceful.
After chatting for a few more minutes, Elowyn ended the call.
[We can talk later.]
[Make sure you eat sothing.]
[Don’t go to sleep with an empty stomach, okay?]
"Alright. I will."
Cael stood up and walked toward Edwin and Aria.
Edwin noticed him imdiately.
"What’s up? Shouldn’t you be resting?"
Cael gave a small smile.
"Let’s continue our lesson."
Edwin’s eyes widened in excitent.
Aria rolled her eyes and turned away.
Edwin quickly dragged Cael aside and found a quiet, clean corner.
"So... where did we leave off?"
Cael thought for a mont.
Then he said calmly,
"It was Chapter 9: Proper Manners During a Date."
And so, relationship lessons continued...
