’What was that ring?’

Even though Cael saw it only for a brief mont, he instantly knew it was not a normal ring.

There was sothing about it.

Sothing unsettling that refused to leave his mind.

Cael didn’t know why, but he couldn’t stop thinking about it, as the image of that silver ring with blue patterns lingered in his thoughts like a stain that wouldn’t fade.

Taking a deep breath, Cael forced himself to push the thought aside for now.

’Where am I?’

He slowly looked around and realized he was lying on his bed, the familiar surroundings grounding him back in reality.

Beside him, seated calmly on a chair, Elowyn was reading a book.

The soft light in the room reflected gently off the pages, giving the scene a quiet and almost peaceful atmosphere.

Cael let out a quiet sigh as fragnts of mory returned.

He rembered how he tried to copy mana absorption and circulation, only to fail and end up resonating instead.

But this resonance was far more bizarre than the last ti he experienced it in the dungeon.

Not to ntion...

He saw that woman again.

The sa woman who killed him in his past life.

’Wait... how does she look again?!’

Cael’s thoughts jolted as he tried to recall her face, her features, anything that could help him identify her.

But no matter how hard he tried, his mind answered blank.

It was as if sothing was deliberately preventing him from rembering.

A cold sweat ran down his face.

Even though Cael couldn’t rember her appearance, he knew one thing with absolute certainty.

The girl he saw during resonance and the woman who killed him were the sa.

’She must have sothing to do with my transmigration into this world.’

That thought settled heavily in his mind.

"You are awake."

Elowyn’s voice pulled him back.

She closed the book in her hand and stood up.

Cael inwardly sighed, knowing that from Elowyn’s perspective, he had simply collapsed without warning.

She stepped closer and stopped in front of him before gently placing her warm and soft hand on his face.

Cael didn’t say anything as he felt her touch.

"You alright?"

Cael was about to answer when...

-BOOM -BOOM

-BANG

"ALERT. ALERT."

"CIVILIANS EVACUATE TO THE SHELTER AT ERGENCY BUNKE—BOOM"

-BANG

The entire building trembled slightly as the calm atmosphere shattered in an instant.

Dust shook loose from the ceiling, and the quiet room was replaced by distant chaos.

Cael and Elowyn looked at each other, their eyes locking in silent understanding.

"Enemy attack?"

...

anwhile, back at the academy.

The sky remained calm, and the surroundings were peaceful, forming a stark contrast to the chaos unfolding elsewhere.

Mira and Luke walked side by side along the academy pathway, while students passed by them, so chatting casually, others training in open fields.

Mira broke the silence.

"You are saying we can’t stop that Genesis Calamity at all?"

Luke nodded and answered,

"Yes, it can’t be stopped; it has transcendental destiny."

Mira frowned slightly.

"Sounds complicated."

Luke chuckled.

"Well, aren’t you the one who insisted on learning the full story?"

He stretched lightly before continuing,

"Anyway, all you need to know is that those who possess transcendental destiny will beco what they are fated to beco."

Mira tilted her head, trying to process his words.

Luke’s tone turned more serious as he continued,

"If we try to interfere with the intention of changing events related to transcendental destiny, then that future will not change at all."

"Even I, soone who has knowledge of the future, am not an exception."

Mira nodded slowly and muttered,

"Destiny... fate... intention..."

Luke continued,

"ssing with transcendental destiny using knowledge is dangerous, which is why we can’t interfere, especially , who already knows what is supposed to happen."

Mira’s eyes widened.

"Dangerous? What kind of danger?"

Luke paused for a mont before answering in a low voice,

"I don’t know. All I know is that there will be consequences, but we can’t be certain whether they will be good or bad."

He looked ahead as he added,

"Just rember this: what is fated to happen will happen, one way or another."

Mira nodded, then asked bluntly,

"So does that an you are practically useless?"

Luke froze and looked at Mira with a pained expression.

"Hey, that’s too far."

He sighed before adding,

"What I said only applies to those who possess transcendental destiny. The odds of encountering such people are extrely low, almost nonexistent."

Mira blinked as sothing clicked in her mind.

"Wait... you said the Genesis Calamity has that destiny, but now you are saying people have it too?"

Luke nodded.

"Good catch. Yes, so people possess that destiny."

His tone dropped slightly as he continued,

"And there are those who have transcended even that destiny."

Mira leaned forward slightly.

"And those people are..."

Luke answered quietly,

"Sovereigns."

The word lingered in the air, heavy with aning.

Then he added,

"Just so you know... Elowyn also has that destiny."

Mira’s steps halted as she turned and locked her eyes onto Luke.

"Does that an Elowyn is going to lose everything again?"

Luke shook his head.

"Not really. She has the destiny to beco a Sovereign, but what kind of Sovereign she becos is up to her."

Mira’s expression turned complicated.

Luke continued,

"That said, we can’t directly involve ourselves in her life or her choices, because there will be consequences."

Mira lowered her gaze and sighed softly.

"It’s too sad that she..."

She didn’t finish her sentence.

Luke smiled faintly, but his thoughts were far from calm.

’Elowyn beca the Sovereign of Red Heart because of her unstable emotions.’

’If I stop Cael from being bewitched by the vampire, she will definitely not beco the Sovereign I know.’

’That is the easier route, one without much difficulty.’

’But saving her family is a completely different matter altogether.’

His eyes narrowed slightly as a thought surfaced.

’Unless... an Anomaly descend and decides to help her.’
