The referee ca between them and looked at the duo and shouted.
"Are you two ready?"
Following the referee's huge shout, the entire stadium descended into silence and all the noise that was coming from the audience stopped.
Lucas and Charles nodded and give the referee a green signal that both of them were ready.
The referee nodded and raises his hand
Lucas and Charles both took the fighting chance and raised their guard.
"Begin!" The referee's loud shout echoed across the whole arena.
Hearing the referee's huge shout, Lucas propelled the strength into his lower part and wanted to dash forward toward Charles but as soon as he took a step, he felt a small trembling sound and before he could react, a hole appeared in the ground and he fell into the pit made by Charles while many beautiful curses echoed and reverberated in the pit.
Charles was already channelling his mana and as soon as he got the green signal, he used a huge amount of mana and tapped his foot on the ground and waved his hand making a deep pit right under Lucas.
Charles observed the big hole made by him while keeping his guard up.
As he was curious about what happened and why still now Lucas hadn't appeared from the hole.
CLANG!
A clanging sound of tal clashing against each other was heard and Charles turned back and jumped a few steps back.
When Lucas was falling into the hole made by Charles, he used his shadow steps to stop himself from falling into Charles's death trap and appeared behind Charles and swung his sword.
But contrary to his expectations, a huge rock protruded from the ground and covered Charles's back and Charles took this opportunity to gain so distance and jumped back.
Lucas saw a large grin on Charles and he frowned.
Seeing Lucas's frowning expression, he spoke"I have already seen that move in the forest."
"The biggest mistake that one can commit while fighting you is to leave his back wide open for you to strike."
"Shit." Lucas cursed as didn't think his surprise attack would fail so miserably.
Charles raised his sword which was covered with rocks and ford a layer on it and stomping on the ground, lunged towards Lucas.
Lucas raised his sword and channelized his mana using the Drifting Sword Technique.
His sword glowed in white colour and wind started to swirl around his sword and raising it, he slashed at Charles's incoming attack.
CLANG!
With a loud clang, the ground beneath them crumbled and many small cracks started to appear on it.
A gust of pressure emitted from the sword clash which was perated into the surroundings with a small shockwave.
pᴀɴda nᴏvel A strong gust of wind brushed past Lucas and his hair danced crazily.
The audience looked at the clash with awe and admiration.
Many audiences thought that the first clash was already so epic so how epic would the fight beco when it becos more intense.
As the audience enjoyed the match.
Lucas and Charles freed their swords and stepped back a little.
Charles was genuinely amazed at Lucas's prowess. One had to note that Lucas was in mid of 3-Star while he was early 4-Star.
Still, in their first clash, no one got the advantage.
"Lucas prepares yourself," Charles shouted and slid his finger through the sword and slashed at Lucas.
An arc of the sword that seed to be made of sand moved towards Lucas.
Lucas raised his sword and slashed a wind blade at the sand arc.
A huge blade of wind erged from his sword and flew towards Charle's attack to toring the air in front of it.
The wind blade collided with the arc made of sand and cut it in half horizontally but instead of dispersing, the lower half moved towards Lucas.
Lucas created two fireballs and shot them at the incoming blade of sand.
The fireball collided with them and burst into a small explosion and finally neutralized them while the wind blade that moved toward Charles was stopped by a wall made of rocks.
"This is annoying," Lucas muttered as he look at Charles.
Charles's ability gives him a huge advantage over him.
Lucas looked at Charles serious expression signifying that their small playti was over and it was to get serious.
Lucas nodded his head as his eyes beca cold carrying a chillness that can freeze anyone.
Everyone could feel an uncanny and eerie feeling seeing the battle suddenly becoming standstill.
All of them knew that things going to heat up soon.
Soon, the air pressure seed to increase to a great extent and all the rocks and dust started to rise a few inches above the ground and started to hover in the air as if the whole earth inside the stadium started to shake with many small rumbles.
Charles's hair fluttered as a sudden gust of strong winds started to erupt from his body and a powerful pressure burst forth from his body and the ground beneath him cracked.
Charles bent his body and lowered his hand and touched the ground and in the next instant, sothing unbelievable happened.
Swish.
Like a flash, his figure disappeared into the sky.
Lucas looked up and spotted a small bright yellow dot high in the sky that grew larger and larger as it headed in his direction downward with great acceleration.
Charles using his earth manipulation ability, dug out a huge piece of rock and form a platform underneath him and used it as a foothold to soar into the sky.
Lucas took a deep breath and looked coldly at the scene and with a mighty leap, he jumped towards the sky and in an instant, he covered twenty ters and as his montum was about to fall, a block of ice appeared under his feet and using the block of ice as a foothold, he jumped again and this ti his figure shot towards the sky like a cannon and within a mont his silhouette appeared before Charles.
Lucas channelized the mana and the barrier covered his sword, layer after layer.
Appearing before each other, both the figure slamd their swords at each other as if both of them were after each other throats.
Rumble...
BOOM!BOOM!BOOM!
The audience started with the sudden deadening and thundering roar.
The ti in the sky seed to be freeze for a brief instant of ti before the audience finally noticed a yellow light and a light a crimson colour contrasting each other and spreading in the opposite direction with a giant whoop that grew larger and larger as it spread further outward and finally dissipated without leaving a trace.
Following that a huge and deafening earth-shattering sound thundered across the arena which made the eardrums of the people burst while they looked at the clash with a hint of disbelief.
An instant later both Charles and Lucas landed on the ground with pale faces and both of their upper garnts had torn a little.
Both of them were panting heavily, signifying the earlier attack had taken a toll on both of them.
Charles though dissatisfied with the outco after seeing Lucas back on his feet still felt a sudden joy and excitent in his heart.
As both of them turned toward each other they saw that both of their swords broke and shattered into pieces.
Lucas wasn't too surprised as his sword was already in a bad shape.
Charles raised his hand and the earth trembled and many rocks started to sprout from the ground.
The rocks started to change their shape into a pointy conical mass structure with a sharp piercing end and started to hover around him.
Lucas smiled at Charles's move and thought" Let's see high strong is my ice."
Charles frowned at Lucas's smile and suddenly the temperature in the atmosphere fell by several margins and vapours and most started to surround Lucas.
Swish.....Swish.....
Many blocks of ice spikes appeared out of thins air and matched Charles's quagmire.
But it didn't stop as the ice spikes started to enlarge into bigger shapes and started to spin in the air with an amazing velocity.
Charles and Lucas wave their hand and soon following their command the unliving mass of summoned started to collide with each other with a loud crumbling sound that surprised the audience and all the nobles present out there.
BOOM!BOOM!BOOM!BOOM!
