"Have you guys heard? There’s soone livestreaming farming online. We thought they were just a bronze level, but turns out they’re a champion who raises leopards!"
"Raising leopards? That’s impossible! It must be so marketing gimmick!"
"There are photos, see for yourself!"
"What are you guys talking about?"
Shen Xiaomi overheard their discussion and joined in, "Huh? Isn’t that my Youzi and her leopard~?"
The welco event for the Agricultural College was held at an experintal farm. They all arrived early according to the notification, and since it hadn’t officially started yet, everyone gathered in groups of three or five.
Hearing Shen Xiaomi’s words, the few who were deeply engaged in the conversation got interested, "Really?"
"No doubt about it, and she sells mostly exotic varieties. Xiao Mi’s grandfather is even our college’s distinguished professor, would he lie? I’ve heard it’s really delicious!"
"The problem is the price is cheap, that tiger skin waterlon sells for 200 per pound in the market! Hers is only 3 per pound!"
"Exactly! Our dorm went crazy trying to snag so yesterday! But we couldn’t get any at all!"
"!!! Quickly, share the strear’s link with ! I need to watch!"
...
All of a sudden, everyone, already being students of agriculture, was curious and gathered around, excited about the rare varieties sold through livestream.
After all, it’s a livestream personally certified by Professor Shen!
"What are they chatting about that’s so lively?"
On the other side, the counselor in charge of student registration, Wang Jianlin, looked over curiously.
"Seems like it’s about that internet-famous Leopard Woman, popular these days. Probably a young girl livestreaming farming and selling agricultural products," Zheng Jingjing said while organizing things.
"Sounds pretty interesting."
"Yeah, it’s quite impressive. Senior, can we maybe do sothing like that too?"
Zheng Jingjing was very eager to try, thinking she had a presentable face.
"Probably, let’s look into it later. Huh? Why hasn’t this Chi Youyou shown up yet?"
Wang Jianlin was a PhD candidate in the Agricultural College and also the counselor for this batch of freshn, "It’s already past the gathering ti, I’ll give her a call!"
Chi Youyou was leisurely strolling through the campus, carrying a small shoulder bag made by her mom.
At that mont, her phone hanging on her chest suddenly vibrated; it was from an unfamiliar number.
"Hello, this is Youyou speaking?"
She politely answered the call, not expecting a roaring voice from the other side.
"Chi Youyou, this is counselor Wang Jianlin. Why are you not here yet? You’re late for the first freshman welco event!"
Late?
She looked at her phone in confusion; it was 9:10. She thought it’d be better to be early on the first day, so she left 20 minutes earlier than needed.
"Hello Mr. Wang, I’m already on campus, I’ll be there shortly. But wasn’t the freshman welco event starting at nine thirty?"
"It starts at nine. Alright, hurry over, everyone’s waiting for you!"
After hanging up, Chi Youyou rushed towards the eting point.
Wang Jianlin, after hanging up, was still grumbling, "Such lack of ti managent!"
Everyone was waiting just for her!
"Senior, don’t worry, it’s probably that I didn’t communicate clearly when notifying."
"Then why didn’t anyone else have a problem? Just an excuse! Jingjing, don’t make excuses for her. No rules, no standards. Keep an eye on her for attendance in the future!"
He lifted the glasses on his nose bridge with his index finger.
"Chi Youyou has a bit of a special situation, coming all the way from a remote mountain area alone, still having to take care of her brother. And apparently she’s living in the West Suburb now, with inconvenient transportation, so it’s understandable that she’s late..."
Zheng Jingjing, holding Chi Youyou’s form, kindly explained, though a flicker of smugness danced in her eyes.
Sure enough, the next second soone exclaid:
"Phoenix Mountain? Oh my God, Jingjing, she’s from that poor backwater of Phoenix Mountain?"
