Kael wasn’t actually angry with his sister.

On one hand, he had to give Lila a graceful way out. On the other, he needed his sister to understand a critical lesson: power demands restraint.

The whole statue incident was a minor affair; the three guild leaders hadn't ant any real harm. But what about next ti? What if one of the WarChief's agents disguised themselves as a human and tricked Isolde into building a portal straight to the heart of the Burning Horde? That would be a catastrophe.

As long as Isolde held her position, she would have to deal with increasingly complex people and situations. Kael wanted to use this experience to teach her that she couldn't let herself be manipulated so easily. For so things, she still needed to lean on her big brother's experience.

Leaving the office, Kael crossed the courtyard to his private room and shut the door.

From his inventory, he retrieved the [Earthwyrm Sinew], the [Sunfire Distillate], and the vial of [Sap of Nature's Blessing] he had just acquired. Then, he unequipped his [Galeharrow], laying all four items out on his desk.

The [Awakening] process wasn’t like Blacksmithing; it didn't require a special skill. All you needed was the [Sunfire Distillate] and the right materials. In the WarChief's Descent expansion, [Awakening] quality was divided into six tiers: D, C, B, A, S, and SS.

If you just wanted a basic Awakening without caring about the quality, you didn't even need extra materials. Just slathering an item with [Sunfire Distillate] was enough to guarantee a D-tier result. But to achieve a higher-quality outco, supplentary materials were essential.

[Galeharrow] had an effective item level of 30. The [Earthwyrm Sinew] Kael had was a level 50 Common material, and the [Sap of Nature's Blessing] was a level 60 Uncommon. Kael estimated that the resulting Awakening should reach B-tier, maybe even A-tier if he was lucky.

He picked up the vial of glowing liquid.

[Sunfire Distillate]: A miraculous fluid. It is said that every drop is priceless, capable of Awakening the latent power within a piece of equipnt.

"Use Sunfire Distillate."

System: Please select the target item and auxiliary materials for Awakening.

Kael slotted the [Galeharrow] into the "Target Item" slot, then placed the [Earthwyrm Sinew] and the [Sap of Nature's Blessing] into the "Auxiliary Materials" slots.

System: Confirm Awakening?

"Confirm."

Instantly, the [Galeharrow] lifted from his grasp, levitating in the center of the room as the [Sunfire Distillate] flowed out of its vial to coat it in a shimring, golden film. The [Earthwyrm Sinew] then stretched and grafted itself onto the bowstring, while the viscous [Sap of Nature's Blessing] seeped into the bow's limbs, making the wood grain glow with a soft, green light.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not ant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

The [Sunfire Distillate] began to seethe, its heat lting the sinew and sap, fusing them completely into the bowstring and body. After five minutes, both materials had vanished, now an integral part of the [Galeharrow]. Finally, the boiling distillate vaporized, but instead of dissipating, the golden mist swirled around the bow, condensing and sinking into the weapon.

System: Your [Galeharrow] has been successfully Awakened. It is now an [A-Tier Galeharrow].

System: Lucky Bonus triggered! Your item has been upgraded to an [S-Tier Galeharrow].

Hell yeah! Kael thought, a wide grin spreading across his face. Maxed-out luck really ca through for .

He took the transford bow in his hand, calling up its stats to see the difference.

Original Stats:

[Galeharrow (Ascendant)]

Physical Attack: 1000

Strength: 200

Agility: 200

Bonus: [Player Level * 50] Attack

Bonus: [Player Level * 10] Strength

Bonus: [Player Level * 10] Agility

Skills:

[Splintering Arrow]: Normal attacks create two additional arrows that strike other random enemies nearby.

[Silkbind Shot]: Attacks have a 20% chance to immobilize the target's feet for 2 seconds.

Awakened Stats:

[Galeharrow (Exalted)]

Physical Attack: 10000

Strength: 1000

Stamina: 1000

Agility: 1000

Bonus: [Player Level * 500] Attack

Bonus: [Player Level * 50] Strength

Bonus: [Player Level * 50] Stamina

Bonus: [Player Level * 50] Agility

Skills:

[Splintering Arrow]: Normal attacks create three additional arrows that strike other random enemies nearby.

[Silkbind Shot]: Attacks have a 20% chance to completely immobilize the target for 3 seconds.

The base physical attack had multiplied by ten, the primary stats by five, and it had even gained a Stamina attribute. Both skills had also received a significant buff.

Kael was currently level 34. The bow’s stats for him were:

Physical Attack: 27,000

Strength: 2,700

Stamina: 2,700

Agility: 2,700

But then he factored in his talents:

[Divine Archer: Marksman’s Instinct]: Attacks deal bonus damage equal to Agility * 2.

[Divine Archer: Vital Agility]: Stamina is also counted as Agility.

With that synergy, the weapon’s final effective stats were mind-boggling. The Stamina-to-Agility conversion ant his total Agility was effectively 5,400.

Effective Damage Bonus: 43,200

Health Bonus: 54,000

This weapon had already completely eclipsed Lila's [Dragonbane].

Kael estimated that the S-Tier [Galeharrow] now had an effective item level of 55 or higher. That ant the [Silkbind Shot] would be effective against any boss below that level.

After all that ti grinding in Aelindale Forest, his main goal was finally complete.

So, what's next?

Kael’s eyes fell on the [Pass Token] in his inventory. For the past two days, he had only used its most basic function: teleportation. He had yet to use its other, more important feature: access. For a Red-nad player, that ant entering towns safely.

But its true high-end function was sothing else entirely: cross-server travel.

Rembering the promise he’d made to Zoe a few days ago, Kael knew exactly what he had to do next.

Thaloria, here I co.
