Chapter 166: The Return of the Jinx

Li Yan grinned with interest, "I think I asked you first, didn’t I? I’m a guest in the banquet hall downstairs, just ca up to take a call and have a smoke here. So, have you done such an outstanding job as a janitor that the Crown Prince poached you from the Prince?"
Chen Junwei suddenly sneered, "You’re suspicious! Where you appear, nothing good happens!"
Li Yan was speechless. I’m the one who should be saying that, yet you’re accusing first.
"As a hotel employee, slandering a guest like this, be careful I don’t complain about you. Don’t think that changing hotels ans I can’t deal with you—I already know your na."
"Was it you who leaked my story last ti?" A hint of murderous intent flashed in Chen Junwei’s eyes.
Li Yan casually smiled, "Why would you say that? I watched you guys in action then too. If I exposed you, how would I explain myself?"
"Then why was soone investigating at the Prince Hotel?"
Li Yan finally understood. So this was why he left his job. Though, this fellow is interesting, having such a fascination with being a janitor.
"Nonsense! After such a big incident, is it possible there was only one uninford insider? It would be strange if no investigation occurred!"
Chen Junwei hesitated for a mont, seemingly believing Li Yan’s explanation, then carefully observed him for a mont. He asked, "Are you really a guest on the top floor down there?"
"Che! Look at decked out in na brands, and you still don’t believe it? Even though I was brought in by soone else." Li Yan said deliberately, feeling an inkling in his heart; could this guy have discovered sothing again?
The last ti, during just one confrontation, Li Yan had stealthily removed a badge without Chen Junwei noticing, which let Chen Junwei know Li Yan’s abilities. Now, feeling the urgency of ti, after hesitating, he earnestly said: "I see you’re quite skilled. Today I offer you a chance to be an unsung hero! I overheard in the restroom that soone plans to attack the rooftop banquet hall and hold all the guests hostage. Since you’re one of the guests, I’m sure you have friends inside. Please help!"
Li Yan chuckled, "You’re truly unlucky. Wherever you go, misfortune follows. But bringing the Prince’s bad luck to the Crown Prince isn’t all bad. The Prince belongs to my wife; the Crown Prince is soone else’s."
Chen Junwei had no ti to argue and quickly said, "I overheard them say they’ll withdraw from here when it’s ti. I need your help!"

"Be serious, I’m not joking!" Chen Junwei, seeing his deanor, thought Li Yan didn’t believe him.

"I don’t smoke; it’s bad for your health," Chen Junwei flicked the cigarette back.
"Ha ha, smoking is bad, drinking is bad, spicy food is bad, sweet food is bad, staying up late is bad, indulgence is bad, and self-pleasure is even worse... If you avoid everything, what’s the point in living a clean and abstinent yet joyless life?"
