Chapter 347: Qianyi’s Heart

Li Yan quickly packed his luggage, took a shower, changed clothes, and then was invited to dinner. The al was prepared at Shinohara Mirai’s ho, and only the four of them ate together.
After dinner, Shinohara Mirai, as the host, expressed the itinerary for this visit, stating that they would stay here and she would take them around tonight and tomorrow, and only visit Shinohara Corporation the day after tomorrow.
Wen Qianyi was responsible for the main work, but she also understood that in the cooperation between Paradise Group and Shinohara Corporation, a lot depended on Shinohara Mirai’s personal relations. Since they wanted to have so fun, she had to smile and agree.

Wen Qianyi, feeling helpless in the face of further discussion, thought this guy would keep saying strange things. "Why don’t you ask Shinohara Mirai? She must have a computer."
"I wanted to borrow one from her, but they’re using the Beihai Country system! I’m not familiar with it. Anyway, you brought a laptop, just let use it for a bit." Li Yan said as he walked toward the desk, looking at her slim laptop.
"First, don’t break it; second, don’t ss with my files—if you ss them up or lose them, you’re dead; third, don’t install random stuff..." Wen Qianyi, realizing she couldn’t refuse him, hurriedly stated her conditions.
Li Yan nodded repeatedly and picked up the laptop to leave.
"Hey? Wait a minute, didn’t you just say you need it for a bit? Just use it here! Why move it back and forth?"
"Well... everyone needs so privacy, right? How could I possibly concentrate with you watching?" Li Yan chuckled.
"Hmph!" Wen Qianyi snorted, still thinking he might use the laptop to visit adult sites or search for information on the various famous spots in D City.
"Don’t ’hmph’. I’ll bring it back in a while."
Returning to the guest room, Li Yan went online, opened QQ, and was about to contact Yue Yao. He wanted to inquire if there were any tasks posted in the last two months involving soone nad Shiroyama Gou from Beihai Country.
There are two main modes of doing business: one, clients directly approach the assassin, or through an interdiary to find the assassin, usually handled in private deals. The other is clients contacting a principal or through interdiaries contacting a principal to complete the deal by posting tasks. Once the principal receives a commission, they’ll conceal the employer’s information, then evaluate the task’s difficulty, labeled by grades S, A, B, C, as a reminder to discourage average assassins.
In trading, aside from identifying difficulty levels, the principal also negotiates a price with the employer for the assassin, providing them with protection. anwhile, tasks are posted anonymously by the employer, making sure assassins don’t contact the employer directly; they would receive evaluations from the principal. Any independent or group assassins must adhere to credibility entry chanisms—it’s not for just anybody. After task completion, certification is arranged before paynt, ensuring employer protection.
Although it costs a commission fee to the principal, more people now prefer the latter mode. In the information age, the principal’s transaction platform is a secret website known only within the assassin circle.
Li Yan’s code na "King" is not a mber; ’they’ belonged to an assassin group as organizational mbers. Only he and Yue Yao knew the account. Usually, Yue Yao represented ’them’ to accept tasks, then distributed them internally. Last ti, when Feng Wuqing privately accepted a job, it followed the first traditional mode through an interdiary.
Since Yue Yao frequently accepted tasks and he had previously completed several S-Class tasks, ’their’ organization had the highest permission and effectively selected from all posted information. So, if anyone had posted a task involving the assassination of Shiroyama Gou through the principal’s platform, Yue Yao would have noticed.
Li Yan’s current purpose was to confirm whether Shiroyama Gou’s disappearance was an abduction, house arrest, or if he had already been killed. If such a task did exist and was completed, then for Shinohara Mirai, the concern was not seeking her father, but avenging him, requiring different plans altogether.

Once QQ opened, an account was already logged in; this laptop was Wen Qianyi’s personal one, set to auto-login.
As both of them previously worked together and could discuss anything in person or over the phone after work, they never chatted online. Li Yan knew her QQ number, but it was only a work-related QQ. The one logged in now was a personal QQ he didn’t know.
