Ji Yi’s food isn’t all that great.
Li Yan doesn’t have much interaction with him, maybe just t him once at Yu Xiaodi’s house, and then yesterday Yu Xiaodi helped out a bit. She probably ntioned her own troubles. So, after hanging up the phone, he could pretty much guess the real reason for eting up was Yu Hong.
However, Li Yan wasn’t feeling guilty, even knowing it was Yu Hong, he agreed. Yesterday’s encounter was just a coincidence, what’s there to be guilty about?
After enduring a few hours, he gradually sent off the arriving filmmakers and clients one by one.
This made Li Yan a bit tempted, and even more speechless.
"You look all rosy and glowing, enjoying yourself, aren’t you?" Wen Qianyi looked at him smilingly.
"This is the result of hard work and effort." Seeing it was almost ti to get off work, Li Yan didn’t bother turning on the computer.
"Indeed, hard work. You went out right after starting work and only returned by the end of the day. You’re starting to have the typical salesperson’s lifestyle, going out early and coming back late." Wen Qianyi praised happily.
Li Yan slid his chair over to face her, handed over a piece of gum with a smile, "Receiving praise from the gentle, virtuous, capable, and beautiful Miss Wen, I’m flattered beyond words. Can’t help but want to flatter you..."
Wen Qianyi maintained her smile but said, "Too bad you only accomplished this little in a day, completely inefficient!"
Li Yan was indifferent, "Haha, as long as there’s progress. You can’t expect to reach the summit in one step, right? Besides, without my inefficiency, how would your capable and efficient nature stand out?"
"Inefficiency is one thing, but make sure it doesn’t turn negative." Wen Qianyi indicated with her chewing gum, speaking with a sense of indication.
"How could it be? Are you worried I’ll go to sleep and throw all the project books away?"
"That won’t happen, but I bet quite a few people want to invite you for dinner, drinks, or even gifts of won today? Are there any plans for action tonight, should we schedule it?" Wen Qianyi blinked, her tone gentle but exuding a strong aura of soone who sees through everything, though still with a soft deanor that leaves one helpless to resist.
Chewing his gum, Li Yan laughed, then said seriously, "Since the supervisor sees through it, I won’t hide it. Indeed, initially, two invitations for dinner and drinks ca. You know how shy I am, even though I secretly like it, how could I admit this openly?"
"Oh, co on! You’re just bluffing!" Wen Qianyi rolled her eyes at him charmingly, pouted, "Guys like you, quiet and introverted, nine out of ten have wild fantasies but are cowardly. If soone wanted to dive straight into intimate relations, you wouldn’t dare!"
"Bah! You got wrong, I’m exactly that tenth guy."
Seeing the guy smugly picking his nose with an attitude of being wicked, Wen Qianyi giggled, "Comrade Li Yan, did you think I ant the tenth one was gutsy? Haha, actually what I ant was: Among you quiet guys, nine out of ten secretly fantasize but are cowardly, and the remaining one just fantasizes wildly!"
Li Yan shot her a glance, pretending to be mad, "You can insult my soul, but don’t dean ! Looking down on like that is quite risky!"
Wen Qianyi innocently laughed, "Did I say anything? It was you who admitted it yourself."
Seeing it was ti to get off work, Li Yan didn’t argue anymore, "Alright, I’ll admit I’m willing but unable."

Ji Yi ntioned a place, in a restaurant a few streets away from the city governnt. Li Yan arrived but couldn’t find a parking spot, eventually parking his car under a sign that said "No temporary parking."
As soon as he stepped out, a consultant girl approached him, "Excuse , sir, please look at the sign on the wall, no temporary parking here."
Li Yan responded with a smile, very politely, "No worries, I won’t park temporarily, I’ll park for a long ti."
"..." The girl was speechless.
Since Ji Yi had already reserved the room, Li Yan went straight inside to wait, sending a ssage to Zhang Yurong, informing her that he was out having dinner with friends and would return later.
Li Yan wasn’t expecting them to arrive early. But due to the rush hour traffic getting here, plus finding the place, he spent quite a bit of ti. Eventually, after waiting for over half an hour, Ji Yi called saying he’d be there shortly.
A few minutes later, the door to the private room opened, and several people walked in. The one at the front was Ji Yi, who had called Li Yan. As soon as he entered, he warmly and familiarly greeted him, "Li Yan, you ca so early, have you been waiting long?"
"Not really." Li Yan looked at the two people who ca in behind him, both familiar faces. One was the one he expected, Yu Hong, the other was soone he hadn’t guessed but had t, the security captain Zhou Yunfei from Yu Xiaodi’s house.
Li Yan could guess Yu Hong’s intention of coming; it should be about Yu Xiaodi’s issues, coming to discuss with him. Ji Yi was the interdiary contact. But what about Zhou Yunfei? To protect him?
Seeing Yu Hong bringing two henchn, Li Yan felt a bit like it was a setup, but he didn’t care, greeting them with a warm smile.
Yu Hong didn’t seem to catch the implication in his tone and smiled, "What’s the coincidence? I asked Ji to call you. I was afraid if I called to invite you for dinner, you wouldn’t co. This is Xiao Zhou, Zhou Yunfei. You should’ve seen him."
"A pleasure." Li Yan nodded at Zhou Yunfei and then spoke to Yu Hong, "Yu Hong inviting for dinner, it’s my honor, how could I dare not co?"
