Chapter Ninety-Four: Traces, Understanding (Revised)
While Li Jie was making a call to gather information, Li Yan had already driven back to the city. He now had two options: one was to go back to sleep at Duan Haibo’s place, and the other was to drive to the Eastern Golden Coast to Yu Xiaodi’s house.
The first choice would leave him feeling very frustrated, and he might even find it hard to fall asleep at this mont. But the second choice could be impulsive and potentially problematic in terms of planning.
So he stopped and waited for Li Jie’s return call, wanting to understand the truth first—if the Yu Family’s security team leader Zhou Yunfei knew about it.
He bought two cans of beer from the roadside, then sat in the car, smoking and drinking while waiting for Li Jie’s call back.
Waiting for soone always makes one feel very impatient, and waiting for a phone call is the sa, especially in very important and urgent monts. Every minute and every second feels like being on the furnace, hard to endure.

"Did you find out?"
"Yes." Li Jie simply agreed.

"Weren’t things good between you two? Why did it suddenly change? You’ve been to their house before, her parents shouldn’t have a big problem with you, why are they intervening now?" Li Jie asked seriously.

Li Jie initially assud the situation was due to her, because she counts as Xiaodi’s friend yet did sothing that was disrespectful to a friend, even though it was under circumstances where it seed difficult to survive. But she did it, making it impossible for her to face Yu Xiaodi after she returned, and she hadn’t called much.
Now upon analyzing, it really could have spread from her father to the Yu Family, and if it’s really just that, they rely restricted Xiaodi from seeing Li Yan, didn’t really go after him, that’s actually quite lenient!
Her mind was very chaotic now, she sighed and said, "Didn’t you say it wasn’t because of this? Did sothing else happen?"
