Chapter 136: Watching a Movie and eting Colleagues
Leaving Wen Qianyi’s house, he habitually ran down the stairs. He hadn’t expected that coming here to have a heart-to-heart would end like this.

Duan Haibo didn’t ask anything directly, just like he enthusiastically welcod him, he enthusiastically bid him farewell, saying he was always welco to stay.
Although the process was quick, Li Yan tried to speed up his return as he was delayed earlier.
When he got ho, he didn’t see the two of them downstairs.
Li Yan was a bit surprised. Did they go shopping? Or was Yurong upset because he was gone so long?
He carried his luggage back to his room and tidied up briefly.
Coming out again, Li Yan went to the office, surprisingly, Zhang Yurong wasn’t there where she usually stayed mostly. He thought for a mont, could she be napping in the bedroom?
He hesitated before coming to Zhang Yurong’s bedroom door and knocked.
"Coming!" Hearing the voice, the door soon opened, and it was Yue Yao who opened it.
Seeing Yue Yao here, Li Yan knew even without seeing inside that Zhang Yurong must be in the bedroom, otherwise, Yue Yao wouldn’t be here alone.
"You’re finally back! Not coming back for lunch and not giving Yurong a heads up, she waited tirelessly for you. She’s been picking out clothes, ready to go to the movies with you. If you took any longer, I’d have had to call and rush you on her behalf." Yue Yao said as she opened the door, letting Li Yan in while nagging him.
"It’s not like that! Why would I wait for him... Ah, why did you let him in?" Zhang Yurong, who was changing, reacted to Yue Yao’s comnts, only to find Yue Yao had let Li Yan in, making her feel a bit awkward.
"Hehe... Going out with him, you couldn’t decide what to wear, right? Now that he’s back, let him give his opinion. I’m off to rest for a bit!" Yue Yao chuckled as she retreated, leaving them their private ti.
Over these months, Yue Yao understood her role was to smooth things, bringing harmony. When the three of them were together, she kept things lively, but knew when it wasn’t her place, like now when they were in the bedroom.
Her exit made Zhang Yurong more nervous. She had quickly dressed, though she seed to be looking in the mirror, she was actually observing Li Yan’s reactions through it.
Li Yan walked up behind her, looked at her dress, and said with a smile, "Actually... We’re just going to see a movie, a regular activity, not an opera show, no need for formal wear."
"You’re back? I’m not dressed formally at all," Zhang Yurong mumbled a greeting, then denied being dressed too formally.
"I know, this outfit is already not formal, but how many have you gone through already?"
Usually dressed in professional attire, she had many beautiful outfits but rarely wore them; they were mostly window displays, reserved for special occasions.
Today, her first movie outing with Li Yan, was important to her, so she roped in Yue Yao for input.
"Just threw on sothing casual. It’s just a movie, no need to dress up," Zhang Yurong refused to admit it, heading straight to the bed to sit.
Li Yan joined her on the bed.
"Yes, yes, just casual. You don’t need clothes to highlight you; with your natural beauty, any outfit shines..."
Saying this made Li Yan sweat a little, having said similar things to Wen Qianyi earlier.
"No need to flatter . Did you bring your stuff back?"
"Yes, I did."
"Good. Are you driving the new car? Leave your old car for Yue Yao to use occasionally. She’s a girl and driving a regular car suits her better, I can tell she likes that one of yours." Zhang Yurong took the chance to ntion.
"Sure, no problem." Li Yan agreed, well aware Yue Yao liked his car because he owned it, not because of the car itself.
"So... When are we heading out?" Zhang Yurong whispered again. She wasn’t eager, just used to strict ti plans, feeling they should finish the movie plan promptly.
