1004: Chapter 1004: Does He Still Rember , His Son?
After several days of travel, they finally arrived at their destination.
After a simple handover, Carson Flores and his group were escorted by a group of Demons into a widely spread camp.
Carson Flores surveyed the surroundings.
There were tall watchtowers all around the camp with Demons guarding them, looking down from high above onto the entire camp.
Carson Flores and the others were gathered in the center of the camp and soon a massive lion approached the front, spoke in human language, and began lecturing them.
The gist was to mine peacefully, not to entertain any crooked ideas, or else face certain death.
Carson Flores received a set of mining tools and was then arranged to stay in one of the large houses.
The room was a large dormitory, with a hundred people sleeping side by side in a row.
Carson wondered where Cristopher Hopkins’s hands had gone, assuming she didn’t want to mix with so many n in one room.
But he was sure she was around.
Early in the morning, a Supervisor yelled for everyone to get up and provided them with a fairly generous and substantial breakfast.
After wolfing it down, everyone was driven aboard a Flying Boat, heading deep into the Eternal Mine.
From the sky above, the entire surface of the Eternal Mine was hollowed out, and the mining work was simple.
The task involved breaking large rocks, smashing them into smaller pieces, and searching for Spiritual Energy hidden within the rocks.
Their boatload of people was just one mining team.
There were many other teams of similar sizes scattered throughout the mine, working hard under the coercion of the Supervisors.
Carson Flores muttered to himself, was this not just like mining for jade or erald?
The Flying Boat landed in a massive pit, and everyone was driven off the boat and then directed to dig downward through a tunnel that had already been excavated.
The black ore shimred with a tallic luster and was extrely hard.
Sparks flew as the tal pickaxes struck it.
Only by channeling Spiritual Energy could one manage to barely break the rock.
Those with stronger abilities were assigned to break the giant rocks ahead, while those with lower abilities were tasked to smash the large chunks that had been knocked off.
This process felt oddly familiar to Carson Flores.
Wasn’t it similar to when they had excavated through layers of ice?
Being a Cultivator in the Nascent Soul Realm, Carson Flores was among the more formidable miners and naturally assud the responsibility of mining.
Carson Flores mined honestly, without rushing or dragging his feet.

As a piece of black ore shattered, a bright light suddenly erupted before everyone, and a pure and vast breath instantly filled the air.
Spiritual Energy!
Carson Flores squinted his eyes, examining it.
It looked like a piece of flawless soft jade, emitting a soft light, and even from afar, one could feel the strong presence emanating from it.
Such pure energy!
Before Carson Flores could even form a thought, a figure had already appeared in front of the Spiritual Energy and grabbed it.
“You unearthed the Spiritual Energy, there will be a reward, what’s your na?”
The delighted Cultivator who had dug out the Spiritual Energy excitedly reported his na, and the guarding Great Demon, holding the Spiritual Energy, noted down the Cultivator’s na, then flew away instantly.

“In the last year or two, the Demon Race has greatly accelerated the mining of Spiritual Energy.
My guess is that the Demon Race is preparing for a big move.
This Spiritual Energy is probably being supplied to the Demon Emperor Heir or so core mbers.
Only when they beco powerful can the Demon Race start making big moves with greater strength.”
Father?
Carson Flores was taken aback, feeling that this made a lot of sense.
Carson Flores was also unsure of his father’s current mindset.
Although the Demon Emperor’s Will could not completely absorb and destroy a person’s soul, only rge with it, he could no longer be sure what his father had beco.
Perhaps, he had forgotten that he was part of the Human Race, only believing himself to be a new generation Demon Emperor, feeling suprely powerful and unmatched?
