The City Lord’s Mansion was located in the west of the city, with a grand entrance flanked by a pair of mighty stone lions.
When Carson Flores and Lilianna Norman arrived at the entrance, a Green Wolf lying on the ground lifted its head.
Its eerie blue eyes assessed them both, finally resting on Lilianna Norman’s face.
“Who are you, and what do you want?”
Carson Flores smiled slightly, “Is the City Lord in?
We are passing by and have matters to discuss.”
The Green Wolf stood up and used its head to push open the partially closed gates.
“Co in with .”
The two followed the Green Wolf through the garden, the corridors, and finally arrived at a vast garden.
Upon entering the garden, the noise abruptly reached their ears.
Carson Flores glanced around, his face imdiately darkening as his eyes filled with a hint of murderous intent.
There were at least twenty to thirty human won in the yard, all of them cautious and frightened.
A hulking man with a wolf’s head was lying on a bed, with two won forced to massage him while feigning smiles.
Next to the bed, there lay a woman’s corpse with a large hole in her neck, her blood pooled around her, apparently bitten to death while she was still alive.
The blood on the ground hadn’t yet coagulated, indicating she had not been dead for long.
Hearing the footsteps, the wolf-headed man turned his head and upon seeing Lilianna Norman veiled, her exceptional deanor instantly captured his attention, his blue wolf eyes suddenly filled with intense greed.
“Lord, these two claim to be passing cultivators who wish to discuss matters with you …”
The wolf-headed man sat up, laughing, “And what do you wish to discuss with ?”
Carson Flores smiled, “This matter isn’t suitable for others to hear.”
The wolf-headed man waved his hand, signaling all the won to leave, but his gaze intensely fixed on Lilianna Norman’s face, “Though your veil hides your face, it can’t conceal your beauty.
How about it, care to stay and beco my lady of the mansion …”
Lilianna Norman remained silent.
Soon, all the won had fled like refugees.
Carson Flores approached the wolf-headed man, simultaneously asking, “I heard that you conquered this city not long ago?”

As the wolf-headed man spoke, his gaze still fixed intently on Lilianna Norman, unabashedly revealing the greed and lust in his eyes.
Carson Flores asked, “I saw two corpses on the city walls.
I heard they were the forr City Lord and his wife?”
The wolf-headed man nodded, “Yes, I had to kill the chicken to scare the monkeys, to prevent every Tom, Dick, and Harry from wasting my ti wanting to be City Lord.”
Carson Flores smiled faintly, “I see Greown City is quite nice, being the City Lord must feel pretty good, huh?”
“Of course, the entire city has to heed your mood.
If you want them alive, they live; if you want them dead, they die.
Everything in this city, including their lives, belong to you.
How could that not feel good?”
The wolf-headed man turned his head and stared coldly at Carson Flores’s neck, “My patience is limited.
If you utter one more pointless word, I will twist your neck, and maybe have an extra al tonight, given how solid your flesh looks, it must be quite chewy.”
Carson Flores spoke calmly, “The position of City Lord, I’ll take it.
You can go die now.”
The wolf-headed man was taken aback, and then burst into laughter, “Just the two of you?
What, did you see your human kin get killed by and now you want revenge?”
Carson Flores didn’t waste words, stepped forward, and instantly reached the wolf-headed man, throwing a punch.
The smile on the wolf-headed man’s face froze as the mockery in his pupils instantly turned into sheer terror.
What a fierce punch!
This youngster looked so young, how could he be so fierce?
The ground beneath the Green Wolf cracked instantly, his body rapidly retreating backwards, and he threw out a shield to block in front of himself.
Carson Flores did not dodge or weave, but directly punched the shield.
The shield montarily glowed, then exploded in an instant.
“Clang!”
The sound of tal impacting echoed through the air, the shield, carrying trendous energy, recoiled and slamd into his chest.
“Crack!”
The sound of bones breaking rang out, and the wolf-headed man’s chest caved in imdiately.
Under the impact of the trendous force, the wolf-headed man’s body was sent flying backward, crashing into a nearby gazebo and breaking through a thick boundary wall.
The eyes of the wolf-headed man were full of shock; this man had crippled him with just one punch.
The wolf-headed man struggled to roll over and rise, but before he could stand, he saw Carson Flores standing beside him, his eyes coldly watching him.

The wolf-headed man struggled to his feet, threatening harshly, “If you kill , my n will slaughter the entire city to bury with !”
“You one after the other, why all the talk!”
Carson Flores frowned, stepped forward, and threw another punch into the wolf-headed man’s chest.
