1140: Chapter 1140: Those Words Are Slightly Hurtful 1140: Chapter 1140: Those Words Are Slightly Hurtful The rosy light grew incredibly dim, as if it would vanish at any mont, yet at this ti, the Spiritual Energy in the air suddenly beca extrely active.
It converged towards the pond from all directions like rivers entering the sea and crazily surged into the pond before finally disappearing into it.
Absorbing Spiritual Energy, transforming it into Immortal Spirit Qi?
Carson Flores acutely noticed that the Spiritual Energy content in the air was rapidly declining.
Soon, the Spiritual Energy beca extrely sparse, just like in the Mortal Realm.
Carson Flores suddenly realized.
His master had once said that he hid on this island because his strength could not be fully utilized.
It turned out it was because the Spiritual Energy was absorbed by this pond, leading to its thinness and thus causing a suppression of power.
When the Spiritual Energy was completely absorbed by the pond, the rosy light also completely vanished, and the mist enveloped the entire pond once more.
The giant beasts around the pond left one after another, with two even passing by Carson Flores.
The pond regained its tranquility.
“Fairy, all the Spiritual Energy has been sucked into the pond, it’s sparse, and my combat power is greatly affected…”
Cristopher Hopkins replied, “Not much impact; you go down into the pond and take a look.
I’m also curious about what’s underneath.
Once we get it, we’ll run!”
Not much impact?
Carson Flores curled his lip, “Alright, whether my combat power exists seems genuinely unimportant, as long as your combat power can remain.”
A bit hurtful though.
“Could there also be giant beasts in the water?”
Cristopher Hopkins replied, “There shouldn’t be, otherwise, they would have joined in the commotion just now.”
Carson Flores thought so too and was slightly reassured, beginning to move toward the pond.
Soon, Carson Flores reached the edge of the pond, looking at the dark water and subconsciously feeling sowhat fearful.
This was the fear of the unknown.
“Go down, I’ll guard you.”
“Okay!”
Carson Flores gritted his teeth and went down into the pond.
He first swam to the central position, then dove towards the bottom.
He rembered the spot where the rosy light had blossod; since the light had shot straight up, the treasure should be directly below at the bottom of the water.
Carson Flores couldn’t be bothered to dive naturally.
He casually took out a heavy weapon from his Space Ring, and its enormous weight dragged Carson Flores all the way down to the bottom.
Carson Flores initially guessed that the pond wasn’t very large and probably was not very deep, but he thought wrong.
This pond was bottomless!
Not only was it deep, but as he continued to sink, the water temperature grew colder and colder.
The bone-chilling cold continuously eroded Carson Flores’s body, and black Profound Ice began to form on him.
He felt like his soul was about to be frozen.
It’s too deep!
It’s too cold!
Carson Flores suddenly felt that it wasn’t that the giant beasts didn’t want to snatch the treasures below, but that they simply dared not dive so deep!
Just when Carson Flores felt he was about to be completely frozen, he suddenly sensed a strong fluctuation of Spiritual Energy.
Carson Flores was overjoyed and held on a bit longer!
After descending another hundred ters or so, Carson Flores finally stepped on solid ground, with the source of the thick Spiritual Energy fluctuation about five ters ahead of him.
Carson Flores’s Divine Sense swept over the source of the fluctuation and roughly identified the object as a tal Slab.
Carson Flores was nearly frozen stiff by now.
Where could he bother to observe carefully?
Carson Flores reached out, and the tal Slab imdiately flew up, landing directly in his hand.
Carson Flores threw it into his Space Ring, then picked up the heavy weapon and struck out with a palm.
The imnse recoil sent Carson Flores shooting upwards like a torpedo.
When the montum nearly ran out, Carson Flores struck out with another palm.
“Splash!”
Carson Flores surged out of the pond, covered in a layer of black Profound Ice, his entire body pale due to the extre cold, resembling a ghastly white corpse, shivering terribly.
“It’s too cold!”
Carson Flores shook off the black Profound Ice from his body, took out the Water-Fire Mirror, and released a fiery blaze.
The high temperature made Carson Flores’s ice-like body feel warmth.
After a good while, his shivering teeth finally returned to normal.
“Fairy, got the stuff, can we go now?”
“Yes.”
Just as Carson Flores was about to leave, a terrifying scream suddenly ca from the sky.
At the sa ti, a huge figure overwhelmingly swooped down from above.
“Be careful!”
Cristopher Hopkins spoke up to warn, while striking out with a palm towards the sky.
The horrifying bird’s huge body appeared in Carson Flores’s line of sight, but just as it erged, it was blown away by a palm strike from Cristopher Hopkins.
The horrifying bird tumbled through the air like a teor, smashing directly into a nearby cliff, indeed shattering half of it.
With a blow from Cristopher Hopkins that even Tribulation Transcenders couldn’t withstand, the horrifying bird seed unscathed as it rolled over and climbed up again, emitting another thunderous cry.
“Boom, boom, boom!”
The ground trembled; perhaps hearing the cry of the horrifying bird, nurous giant beasts quickly surrounded from this direction.
