1376: Chapter 1376: The Valley of Heart Remains Unchanged, No More Charlotte Roth in This World 1376: Chapter 1376: The Valley of Heart Remains Unchanged, No More Charlotte Roth in This World After Ashley Reid left with a grateful heart, Carson Flores approached the scorpions again for a closer observation.
These scorpions are unique, possessing strong offensive capabilities and high defensive strength, and curiously, they don’t emanate a powerful aura.
Divine sense sweeps over them revealing no significant difference from normal venomous scorpions.
Carson Flores’s Three Provinces Sword couldn’t shatter them, but it could easily send them flying.
As long as one is on guard, they are not easy to be hard by; however, without caution, one would suffer greatly.
The severe toxicity of the scorpions is such that even the Human Immortal Peak level Qi Jun is extrely wary of it, which shows just how formidable the venom is.
Carson Flores’s observation of these scorpions is to determine whether their unique traits are innate to their species or acquired over ti.
If it’s the forr, then they are simply a unique species, but if it’s the latter, what has interfered with their developnt to grant them such characteristics?
Having lost their target, the scorpions began to retreat into the depths of the valley.
Carson Flores hovered in mid-air, his divine sense following them.
The scorpions arrived at the base of a cliff and entered a cave tall enough for a person, which likely served as their lair.
Carson Flores extended his divine sense into the depths of the cave and soon discovered the Scorpion Lair.
Inside there was a large swarm of scorpions, including many young ones.
Carson Flores carefully observed and found that these young did not exhibit the characteristics of the adult scorpions; instead, they seed no different from ordinary scorpions, which greatly piqued his interest.
Carson Flores quietly watched and noticed that besides normal behaviors such as foraging and resting, the scorpions would collectively head to a particular rock face.
The adult black scorpions would strike the rock with their hard shells, creating powder which the young would consu.
Afterwards, they would lie still as if digesting and absorbing the substance from the rock.
A joyful thought struck Carson Flores: There’s sothing amiss with this rock wall!
Having identified the target, Carson Flores didn’t wait any longer and threw a punch.
“Boom!”
The cliff was instantly penetrated, collapsing into a large hole, and the Scorpions’ Lair was suddenly gone.
A black stele, which had been obscured by the soil, was uncovered.
It was perfectly square, at least three ters tall, and had varying amounts of characters on it.
Characters?
Carson Flores’s eyes widened as his mood turned a bit strange.
Wasn’t it said that no humans lived in this small world?
Why then has this black stele, obviously marked by human activity and bearing characters used by humans, appeared?
Carson Flores had no ti to ponder further because the scorpions, whose hos had been destroyed, were going insane and flooding out of the cave to attack him.
Carson Flores reached out with a distant grasp; a giant hand appeared out of nowhere and grabbed the black stele, then he shot up to the sky, avoiding the attack of hundreds of scorpions.
Good thing these scorpions couldn’t fly; otherwise, dealing with so many of them would really be a hassle!
Carson Flores flew away from the valley, and only then landed and carefully examined the stele in front of him.
The stele was like black tal, dark with a hint of luster, its age indiscernible, the characters on it simple.
“The heart’s valley remains as it once was, no more Charlotte Roth in the mortal world — Alvin Bernard”
Is this a tombstone?
It appears to be a man nad Alvin Bernard who has erected this stele to commorate a woman nad Charlotte Roth?
Carson Flores thought carefully and realized that there was no tomb underneath the cliff he had just shattered.
How then did this stele appear here?
Upon further reflection, the position of the stele in the valley seems more like it had fallen from the sky with great power, shattering the mountain range and forcefully carving out a vast valley, with the stele eventually getting buried within this valley, obscured by the collapsed dirt.
This concealnt could have lasted for millions of years.
Carson Flores had many questions in his heart, but there was no one to provide answers.
He set aside further thought and focused on the stele itself.
It was pitch-black all over, and when struck with the hand, it produced a clear tallic sound.
Parts of the bottom of the stele had eroded, likely worn away into powder by the scorpions’ constant grinding, then consud.
Just so of this ground powder allowed the otherwise ordinary scorpions to beco impervious to blades and spears.
What would happen to one’s body after absorbing the entire stele?
Carson Flores was quite tempted.
His body was already composed of Sword Bone, incredibly hard, but who would complain about becoming even more unyielding?
Nonetheless, this matter required exploration and experintation.
It was unknown whether the special substance within the tal could be absorbed using the Refinent thod used to assimilate Sword Bone with Dark Iron Raven Essence.
Carson Flores secured the stele and continued his exploration.
The Full Moon Illusionary Realm was not very large, and it wasn’t long before Carson Flores had explored to the very edge of the world.
It was an invisible barrier ford by the rules, where the world gradually turned from clear to blurry, then to chaos.
Carson Flores, knowledgeable from his reading, understood at a glance.
Spatial Rift.
After following the Spatial Rift for so distance, Carson Flores finally confird sothing.
This small world wasn’t ford naturally; it was artificially created.
Perhaps this space originally belonged to the Thunder Immortal Realm, chosen by a powerful being who used subli skills to fold it away and conceal it!
