The one on the left summoned a vine shield and threw it into the air, where it instantly blood with green light.
Nurous thick vines sprouted from the shield, writhing like monstrous pythons.
As the Sword Qi passed through, one after another of the stout vines broke, yet they seed endlessly regenerating, continually reducing the power of the Sword Qi.
When the Sword Qi finally cleaved onto the vine shield, the seemingly vulnerable shield remained unbreached by the Sword Qi.
At the sa ti, the ground beneath the feet of another Qingliu Sect mber suddenly split apart, with vines breaking through the soil, wildly spreading like giant pythons, lunging towards Carson Flores.
Carson Flores clenched his fists and struck out.
In that instant, boundless Sword Intent enveloped a thousand-ter radius, with each strand of Sword Intent attacking the proliferating vines, tearing them to shreds in re monts.
During this brief engagent, all disciples of the White Crane Immortal Sect had already entered the portal.
The light from the pedestal of the high platform had begun to fade, and the Formation Patterns on it oddly started to dissolve.
Seeing the diminishing light on the door outlined by the Barrier, Carson Flores did not hesitate any longer, and once again unleashed a Sword Qi, halting the advancing troops trying to flank from the side.
“Those unafraid of death, follow in.”
With those words, Carson Flores shot through the portal, and at the sa ti, the ripples on the door began to disappear, becoming less transparent once more.
The soldiers, including Qi Jun, understood that the door was about to close.
They were now close to the portal and could make it inside with a full sprint.
However, considering the cold words from Carson Flores, they all hesitated.
If the two Human Immortals from the White Crane Immortal Sect were inside, there would be no rcy for them upon entry.
Could they withstand the challenge?
It was during this mont of hesitation that the ripples vanished, the lines of the Barrier faded, and it returned to its original state.
Instinctively, Qi Jun and the others dashed to the Stele to try and activate it again, only to find, to their surprise, that all the Formation Patterns on the high platform had completely dissolved.
This was actually a one-ti use Formation Pattern!
Stamping his foot in frustration, Qi Jun lanted, “The bold thrive, and the timid starve.
If I had known, I would’ve rushed in.”
Allen Boyd of the Qingliu Sect scoffed: “You think Carson Flores won’t kill you?”
Qi Jun ran his hand through his hair and twiddled it: “I think he’s a reasonable man.
If there were only one opportunity, he would definitely take action if I tried to compete with him, sparing no feelings.
But if my interests don’t conflict with his, he probably wouldn’t strike.”
Another Human Immortal, Daxton Campbell, sneered: “A reasonable person?
One who beats people to dust without a second thought?”
Qi Jun shook his head, offering no rebuttal.
He was speaking about his most direct impression of Carson Flores, for throughout the process, Carson Flores hadn’t acted tyrannically domineering.
However, when one endangered his interests, he instantly adopted a different style.
Overbearing!
Forceful!
Unblinking in the act of killing!
“Talking about this is pointless; I’ll just wait here for him to co out and ask what’s inside.
Even if I can’t get the opportunity, it’ll satisfy my curiosity,” Qi Jun said.
Daxton Campbell coldly added, “You’re not the only one interested.
Just wait and see.
Soon others will arrive.
It won’t be just the three of us waiting for him.
Then we’ll see what he does!”

Carson Flores crossed through the Barrier and was greeted with a valley bursting with a myriad of colorful flowers, as brilliant and dazzling as a splendid rainbow.
The flowers blanketed the entire valley, while towering, lush trees stood tall on both sides.
All the disciples of the White Crane Immortal Sect were waiting for Carson Flores, their eyes filled with admiration and gratitude.
Uncle-Master Zeng is incredible!
Many Sects were unable to break the Barrier, but Uncle-Master Zeng entered with such ease, not only entering himself but also bringing all of them along.
Full of curiosity, Ashley Reid asked, “Uncle-Master, where did that Stele co from?”
With a smile, Carson Flores replied, “Found it in the Scorpion Lair.”
Ashley Reid’s eyes widened in shock, “The scorpions we encountered before?”
Carson Flores nodded, “Yes.”
Ashley Reid’s expression turned peculiar.
What did this an?
Although everyone found the uniqueness of those scorpions strange, none thought to observe them.
Yet Carson Flores chose to stay and watch the scorpions and then discovered the Stele?
What sort of cause and effect was this?
Without further explanation, Carson Flores smiled and said, “Let’s go.
If I’m not mistaken, there should be a woman buried here, and there’s likely a poignant and regretful love story…”
The crowd flew across the valley carpeted with flowers, and then they saw a pyramid-shaped high platform, and atop it lay a gigantic black sarcophagus.
Apart from that, the valley was void of anything else.
Intricate and ancient Formation Patterns were carved all over the high platform, with light moving through these patterns, making the entire structure seem as if it were alive.
The whole high platform was encased within a spherical Barrier.
As they carefully approached, the high platform suddenly shimred with light, and a figure rose from the large black sarcophagus.
