"No movent, just like before, as if completely disappeared."

Carson Flores wasn’t surprised; in the world of cultivators, ti is the least valuable.

The Immortal Domains are so vast that without using the teleportation array, it would probably take half a year to run from the east of the Heavenly Profound Continent to the west.

The Alliance Hierarch of the Heavenly Alliance is waiting for people from the High Immortal Realm; the journey must not be close, not to ntion so other matters.

Just a casual secluded cultivation, an epiphany, that ti could easily stretch into several years.

Carson Flores stayed with Alfred Weaver for two days before preparing to set off for Dragon Spirit Continent.

June Weiss and Mona Briggs wanted to follow, but Carson refused, telling them to stay calm in the Celestial Palace.

The enemies Carson encounters now are usually very strong; those at the Golden Immortal level need no fleeing, while opponents that need fleeing must be at the Heavenly Immortal level, who could crush June Weiss and Mona Briggs effortlessly.

Carson flees alone cleanly and decisively, but taking them along would only be a burden when escaping, so he simply didn’t bring them.

Even the Heavenly Immortal ntioned by Alfred Weaver was rejected by Carson, how could he possibly bring a True Immortal?

"Carson, have you ever lit a Longevity Lamp before?"

Carson shook his head: "No."

Alfred Weaver stared at Carson: "Why don’t you light one in the Celestial Palace? Although I believe nothing will happen to you, seeing that lamp glowing brings peace of mind."

Carson turned to look at Alfred Weaver, who bit her lip, her face slightly flushed, but this ti, she didn’t look away, just stared straight at Carson with a pleading gaze.

Carson sighed inwardly: "Alright!"

A Longevity Lamp involves rging a strand of split soul into the lamp; if the person is alive, the split soul remains intact, so the lamp won’t extinguish, but if the person dies, that strand of split soul will feel the change, and the lamp will extinguish, which is why people often say, ’when one dies, the lamp goes out.’

Alfred Weaver was clearly extrely worried about him, not wanting to endure the anxiety of uncertainty; lighting a lamp ans as long as she sees it alight, she knows he’s well.

No matter where he is, as long as he’s okay, she feels at ease.

Longevity Lamps are usually left in the Sect, but during the Barbaric Wilderness Realm, his entire Sect had only five people, and thus did not have this custom. When he joined the White Crane Immortal Sect, although the Sect had this custom, his unique status ant he barely stayed there long enough to leave a lamp.

Unexpectedly, his first Longevity Lamp in life is to be left in the Celestial Palace.

Placing the Longevity Lamp isn’t complicated; it’s a crafted magic artifact that just requires pricking a finger and dripping blood into it.

Carson picked up the Longevity Lamp, pressed his finger onto the needle-like tip resembling a flower pistil, blood flowed down the needle, and the lamp lit up with a white light.

Carson slowly withdrew his hand, and Alfred Weaver lit the lamp; Carson felt a magical connection with the lamp erging in the depths of his being.

"Should we place the lamp in the Hall of Longevity?"

The Hall of Longevity is where everyone’s Longevity Lamps in the Celestial Palace are collectively placed and guarded by dedicated palace guards.

Alfred Weaver shook her head: "Just keep it here, it feels reassuring."

Carson was slightly taken aback; this was Alfred Weaver’s study, where she spent most of her ti outside of sleeping and dealing with official matters in the main hall.

Is she planning to always keep an eye on him?

"Here, the solitary lamp feels quite lonely..."

Alfred Weaver shook her head: "I’m here, so how could it be lonely? Besides, the security here is tightest, and I can’t keep running to the Hall of Longevity every day. Though there are guards, it’s more reassuring to keep an eye on it personally."

Carson remained silent for a few seconds, then gently said: "You’ve been thoughtful."

Alfred Weaver lightly turned her head to look at the lamp: "Truth is, I never had many friends; after being hard by Maggie Fitzgerald, suppressed for thousands of years, the changes of ti and hearts were profound. Then I t you, and now you’re my only friend. You even help stand against the Heavenly Alliance, supporting side by side. I naturally care for your safety."

"I’ll be careful."

Carson responded, thought for a mont, and added: "No matter the opponent, given ti, as long as I live, I’ll put them all underfoot, not allowing them to bully you."

Alfred Weaver’s gaze quivered, and the softest spot in her heart was fiercely touched.

She turned to Carson, unable to suppress her feelings any longer, stepped forward, and embraced him.

Carson’s body slightly stiffened; he hadn’t expected her to embrace him voluntarily.

He was about to speak when Alfred Weaver buried her face in his chest: "Don’t speak."

The words ford in Carson’s throat but were forcibly swallowed down.

"Hold ."

Alfred Weaver’s words were as light as a mosquito’s buzz, her face flushed red as blood.

Carson lifted his hand, gently holding Alfred Weaver.

Alfred Weaver’s body tensed with utmost nervousness, fearing Carson might reject her or say things she didn’t want to hear. But Carson only held her gently, without speaking.

Alfred Weaver gradually relaxed, with her body slowly becoming softer in Carson’s warm embrace.

Quietly, the two remained in embrace.

After a long while, Alfred Weaver gathered courage, raised her head, closed her eyes, and slightly stood on tiptoe...
