Callie Matthews was surprised, “Immortal Palace Envoy? Are you representing the Celestial Palace? Is the Celestial Palace preparing to intervene in this war?”
Carson Flores explained, “The Celestial Palace has no intention of intervening in your war. I just ca to visit a friend of mine who happens to be a disciple of the Hundred Tribulations Gate. And as it happens, he is among the group of disciples you captured.”
Callie Matthews realized, “So you helped the people from the Hundred Tribulations Gate to capture just to rescue your friend?”
“You could say that.”
Carson Flores laughed, “That’s the main goal. Now that we have enough leverage, we can have a good negotiation.”
Callie Matthews sneered, “Want more? You can forget about it. Although my status is a bit special, that’s all there is to it. The Dragon Clan doesn’t accept any coercion!”
Carson Flores smiled slightly and said nothing.
