The guard leader’s gaze swept across the group, a hint of doubt flickering in his eyes.
"Boss Zhou, your people seem unfamiliar."
The middle-aged man whispered, "This batch of goods contains so special items, specifically requested by soone from above. I went through a lot of trouble to acquire them and was worried about safety on the road, so I hired more experts for escort. After all, if sothing goes wrong with this, I can’t just walk away from it."
The guard leader suddenly understood and nodded with a smile, "Boss Zhou, your business is getting bigger."
The middle-aged man laughed, "It’s all thanks to your protection, Captain!"
At this mont, other demon cultivators were about to question this group of seemingly complicated and unwelcoming humans, but the guard leader waved his hand, "They’re from The Myriad Demons Comrce Guild, let them pass."
Hearing this, the guards made way for Aydin Hatfield and the others. The middle-aged man stepped forward, waving his hand, "Is everyone here?"
Aydin Hatfield nodded, "Everyone is here."
The middle-aged man gestured to everyone, "Stay close to , don’t fall behind."
The middle-aged man led the group away from the square and directly out of the city, where a giant ship had long been waiting.
After everyone boarded the flying boat, the middle-aged man respectfully bowed to Aydin Hatfield, "Grey-robed Blood Envoy Axel Roth greets the Alliance Hierarch!"
Aydin Hatfield waved his hand, "No need for formalities, let’s go inside and talk."
The group entered a spacious reception hall, where Aydin Hatfield took the main seat.
Axel Roth’s gaze swept over everyone with a hint of confusion. He had suddenly received the Alliance Hierarch’s order that the leader would bring people to the Heavenly Demon Continent, instructing him to prepare for reception and concealnt without exposing their identities.
The Alliance Hierarch had always left the matters of the Heavenly Demon Continent to him, rarely interfering. Why the sudden visit now?
Inspecting the business?
There was no need for the leader to co personally for that, much less with a group of high-ranking mbers.
Axel Roth cautiously asked, "Alliance Hierarch, may I ask the reason for your visit this ti?"
"To escape danger."
Aydin Hatfield did not conceal anything and candidly replied, "At the martial competition in the Heavenly Profound Continent, we clashed with the Celestial Palace. We were confident of victory, but who knew Nico Weaver would suddenly return, rallying all the neutral Sects watching, joining the war. We were defeated, and many of our people were captured by them."
"Now Nico Weaver is personally leading people to hunt us down, and hiding in the Heavenly Profound Continent is unsafe. So we ca to the Heavenly Demon Continent to temporarily avoid the storm. I have already sent a ssage to the Sect, asking them to send reinforcents. Until they arrive, we will stay here temporarily."
"The Heavenly Demon Continent is the domain of the Demon Race, and the Celestial Palace has no foundation here. Additionally, no one here is loyal to the Celestial Palace, so we are safe here."
Aydin Hatfield glanced over the silent high-ranking mbers of the Heavenly Alliance and said sternly, "Once reinforcents from the Sect arrive, we can strike back openly, annihilate Nico Weaver, destroy the Celestial Palace, and rescue our captured mbers."
Upon hearing this, Axel Roth was stunned.
Nico Weaver has returned?
The Heavenly Alliance has been defeated?
Many have been captured?
Axel Roth suddenly recalled the young couple he had seen earlier, his expression changing, and he respectfully said, "Alliance Hierarch, while waiting for your arrival, I ca across a young man holding the Immortal Palace Order claiming to be an Immortal Palace Envoy, heading to the Heavenly Fox Palace for business..."
The initially silent group in the room suddenly sat up straight, their eyes all focusing on Axel Roth.
Aydin Hatfield frowned, "Do you know what business they have at the Heavenly Fox Palace?"
Axel Roth shook his head, "I didn’t ask, they just stated their identity, and the guards let them pass. They didn’t ask for an escort, they left on their own."
Maggie Fitzgerald, wearing a green magic robe today instead of her signature red, pressed on, "What do they look like, what are their nas?"
Axel Roth shook his head, "I was far away before and didn’t hear their conversation clearly, don’t know their nas. Both were young, the man looked about thirty, the woman even younger, around twenty-six or twenty-seven. The two seed intimate, like a couple..."
Maggie Fitzgerald’s eyes flickered, "A man in his thirties, could it be Carson Flores? The woman in her mid-twenties, could it be Alfred Weaver?"
Soone unleashed mana, and images of Carson Flores and Alfred Weaver appeared in the air, "Is it them?"
Axel Roth pointed at Carson Flores, "The man is him, though the woman was also very beautiful, it wasn’t her."
The expressions of everyone present suddenly changed.
"That Carson Flores kid, he actually ca to the Heavenly Demon Continent!"
"Is he a bloodhound? Could he know we ca here?"
"Nico Weaver must have sent him to the Heavenly Fox Palace to plan how to target our Heavenly Alliance, right?"
"Even if it’s not for us, it’s definitely targeting the Heavenly Fox Palace branch forces here. He’s preparing to take down all of our Heavenly Alliance across multiple continents simultaneously!"
"How hateful, since he’s here, let’s just kill him!"
"Yes, ambush him. As long as we kill them, without the Immortal Palace Envoys, there will be no more trouble, at least for the ti being, we’ll be safe."
Aydin Hatfield stared at Axel Roth and asked solemnly, "How long ago did they leave, and in which direction did they go?"
