Once everything was settled, Carson didn’t linger, politely declining Lucille’s banquet invitation and bidding farewell directly.

Carson laughed, not taking it seriously, "You’re making things up. Though I’m a Special Envoy of the Celestial Palace, the Heavenly Fox Palace holds foxes in high regard. Master Austin wouldn’t send a fox woman to attend to overnight; it would be a loss of face for the palace. She wouldn’t do such a thing."
Selah Ellison Immortal Lord laughed, "You’re quite clear-headed."
Carson chuckled and changed the subject, "Where’s the Water Scale Dragon Ape located?"
Selah Ellison Immortal Lord asked in surprise, "Aren’t you going to Sky Wolf Palace to see the Demon Emperor?"
Carson shook his head, "Let’s find the Water Scale Dragon Ape first. As long as it’s there, it won’t escape."
Selah Ellison Immortal Lord nodded, took out a map, and showed Carson, "Here, soone has seen the Water Scale Dragon Ape in this mountain range. As long as nothing unexpected happens, we should be able to find it."
Carson leaned in for a look; the map showed a circle indicating a stretch of desolate mountains.
Just as Carson was about to look away, he suddenly paused.
"Huh, Qinghe County? Is Qinghe County right next to this mountain range?"
Selah Ellison Immortal Lord paused, retrieved the map for a close look, and said, "Yes, it really is. Haha, you might just et Lilianna Nalan there. Seems like you two are quite destined!"
Carson felt a sense of joy and anticipation rising in his heart, "Qinghe County is so large; finding her won’t be easy. I haven’t even asked her where exactly she would be."
Selah Ellison Immortal Lord asked, "Want to go back and ask?"
Carson shook his head, "No need. Just wanted to see if she’s doing well. It’s not crucial to et her."
Selah Ellison Immortal Lord chuckled lightly, "Is this how you treat all your friends, or is it because she’s beautiful?"
Carson explained helplessly, "Do you think I’m that kind of person? When I went to the Dragon Spirit Continent before, I visited my senior brother, too. He’s definitely not a woman..."
