“Uh, where is this?”
Carson Flores and the others were discussing where to go when suddenly a voice ca from behind. They turned around to find that the boy who had been unconscious was actually awake now.
The boy was holding his forehead, frowning, with a very headache-stricken and confused expression.
Judith Hamilton exclaid in surprise, “You finally woke up! If you didn’t, the Secret Realm exploration would have ended!”
The boy frowned, his gaze sweeping across the group, “Who are you?”
Carson Flores smiled and said, “We’re a team of Loose Cultivators on an adventure. We found you unconscious on the ground and, fearing for your safety, brought you along with us. You’ve been unconscious for many days… which sect are you a disciple of?”
The boy looked bewildered, thought for a mont, then shook his head, “I don’t know.”
“You don’t know?”
Callan Mason asked in surprise, “Looking at your expression, it seems like you might have amnesia. Do you know who you are?”
The boy frowned, seemingly trying hard to think, and after a long pause, he finally responded, “Ben Singleton… right, I’m called Ben Singleton, but I can’t rember anything else…”
Everyone looked at each other; he really had amnesia?
Carson Flores asked calmly, “Do you rember how you got into the Heavenly River Secret Realm? Do you rember any close people?”
Ben Singleton thought for a mont, then finally shook his head, “I don’t rember.”
“Well, that’s complete amnesia.”
Callan Mason spread his hands and said with a bitter smile, “No wonder he was unconscious for so long; it seems he hit his head…”
Amnesia has always been a difficult dical challenge, and Carson Flores couldn’t do much about it. He asked gently, “Have you regained your strength now?”
Ben Singleton replied, “I think… almost.”
Judith Hamilton curiously asked, “What is your strength level?”
Ben Singleton blinked, “Heavenly Immortal… mid-stage?”
Judith Hamilton exclaid in surprise, “Wow, you look so young but have such impressive strength. It seems your talent is very high; you must be a cultivation genius.”
Ben Singleton shook his head, looking confused, as he glanced at the group, “Did you rescue ?”
Carson Flores nodded, “We just kept you with us and fed you so elixirs. We didn’t do much else because I couldn’t figure out why you were unconscious…”
Ben Singleton cupped his hands and said, “Thank you, regardless. Without you, I might have ended up as Blood Food for Demonic Beasts.”
Carson Flores laughed, “It’s good that you’re okay. Since you’ve woken up, you can leave on your own to continue adventuring, or recuperate.”
Ben Singleton hesitated and said, “My mind is a blank right now, and I don’t know where to go. Can I stay with you?”
Seemingly worried about being misunderstood, Ben Singleton added, “I don’t want anything. If there’s a place where I can help, I’ll do my best.”
Everyone’s eyes fell on Mack Conley, as he was the team leader.
Mack Conley hesitated, “He’s lost his mory. Wandering around alone is quite dangerous. Since he’s willing to follow, let him stay. His strength isn’t bad; having one more person ans one more strength, and we can just give him a share. What do you all think?”
Everyone expressed no objections, and Ben Singleton stayed with the team.
Perhaps because of his amnesia, Ben Singleton didn’t speak much, just quietly followed the group and worked diligently when needed, never shirking his effort.
Two days passed, and while the group was resting, Ben Singleton, who had been silent, suddenly pointed to a mountain peak in the distance, as sharp as a sword piercing the sky, “I rember this mountain peak…”
Everyone curiously looked at Ben Singleton.
“Did you regain your mory?”
Ben Singleton shook his head, “No, I just suddenly had so images in my mind when I saw this mountain peak, including this mountain… Maybe because its shape is unique, so it’s morable…”
Carson Flores laughed, “You’ve been to this mountain peak?”
Ben Singleton nodded, pointing further east, “To the east of this mountain peak, far away, there’s an enormous, grand tomb…”
