"What is your ultimate goal?"
Facing Dennis Reid’s inquiry, Carson Flores replied candidly, "At first, when I captured Sergio Wilkins, I hoped to use him as a hostage to obtain a promise from your Three Saints Sect, a promise not to invade the Thunder Immortal Realm anymore. Unfortunately, you all refused."
"Things have evolved to this point now. I’ve taken the Sect-Defending Treasure, the Reincarnation Scripture Stele, from the Three Saints Sect and captured so many of you. It’s a heavy blow to the Three Saints Sect’s face — no, more accurately, to Armani Warren’s face."
"Perhaps I could use the lives of all of you as leverage to force Armani Warren to step back, but his intent to kill won’t disappear. So I thought, why not simply eliminate Armani Warren and control the Three Saints Sect myself?"
"If I were in control of the Three Saints Sect, naturally, there would be no further invasions of the Thunder Immortal Realm by them. You could even help fend off other forces looking to move in."
"This is my current thinking. However, my future doesn’t lie in the Thunder Immortal Realm, nor in the God Immortal Domain. Once things are settled here, I’ll head to the Ten Thousand Immortals Domain where my family is waiting."
"Don’t worry, even if your lives are in my hands, I can promise that when I leave, I won’t force you to co with to be my enforcers or servants. You can still stay in the Three Saints Sect and pretend that none of this ever happened. I won’t make unreasonable demands of you."
"The Three Saints Sect is yours. I hope it becos mine, but ultimately it will be left to you. If Armani Warren dies, River Fulton, you have the highest power in the Realm of the Mystic Elephant, so you shall be the new Sect Master and lead everyone forward."
Dennis Reid said solemnly, "The Sect Master is at the Fifth Realm. All of us combined are not his match. You want us to kill him, but that’s simply impossible."
Carson Flores laughed, "It’s all about effort. At least let’s set this target first. If it really can’t be done, retreating isn’t out of the question. Ti passes, things change, and so can we. Who knows what the future holds?"
After a pause, Carson Flores looked over at Dennis Reid and the others, smiling slightly, "In the beginning, could you have imagined such a situation? After all, in your eyes, I seed like a mouse being hunted by a cat..."
"Everyone has their own path. If you choose to be loyal to the Sect, loyal to Armani Warren, I admire you for being a real man, and I will cleanly and swiftly send you to reincarnation. After all, once reborn, this mory will be lost, so I’m not afraid you’ll betray us."
"I must remind you, even if you all choose death, Kimberly Jas will definitely return to the Sect. At that ti, your every word and deed will be known to . Carson Flores’s voice was calm, without intimidation or threats, just simple statents, yet it gave Dennis Reid and the others imnse pressure.
Indeed, what about others if they choose death?
If one’s realm falls upon rebirth, and others pledge allegiance to Carson Flores, swaggering back and concocting a story, wouldn’t the reborn self be kept ignorant?
With these agents inside the Sect, capturing Carson Flores and retrieving the stele would be a joke, wouldn’t it?
Conversely, with these agents, it would be far too easy to harm other Great Land Sovereigns, and perhaps in no ti, apart from the Sect Master, all the Great Land Sovereigns of the Three Saints Sect would either die and reincarnate or pledge allegiance to Carson Flores.
Can the Sect Master eventually win?
It’s tough!
Even if they don’t fight the Sect Master, and collectively defect from the Three Saints Sect, it would surely lead to the Sect’s division and decline.
Porter Schneider was the first to decide, "Given a choice, I wouldn’t want my realm to fall. After all, regaining the Great Land requires not just ti but many other things. With limited talent, it’s too difficult!"
Carson Flores smiled slightly, "Welco to join us. You’ve made a wise choice."
Porter Schneider turned to Dennis Reid, "Dennis, I’m sorry."
Dennis Reid sighed, "Why apologize to ? Self-interest cos first; it’s the law of nature. Even ordinary people are like this, let alone on the Immortal Path. This path is hard to walk, and after all the hardships of achieving the Great Land, who’d want to fall back down?"
Dennis Reid turned to the slumped River Fulton, "Old River, what’s your choice?"
River Fulton smiled bitterly, "You’re right, if the realm falls drastically, spending countless ti to train and recover, even possibly not recovering, is terrifying just to imagine. Who’d want to retrace such a path, pledge allegiance then."
Dennis Reid seed to secretly relax, "Pledged?"
River Fulton nodded, "While I don’t want to deal with the Sect Master, if it’s choosing between my death or his, I’d choose his death. Given the situation, one must consider oneself more. Don’t you agree?"
Listening to River Fulton’s words, Dennis Reid seed to resolve his inner conflict too, "You’re right, I also don’t want to betray the Sect or deal with the Sect Master, but I also don’t want to die. People must be a bit selfish!"
In a simple discussion, River Fulton and the three completed their psychological construction and ultimately all decided to surrender.
This outco didn’t surprise Carson Flores. Who would die for others without cause?
The Immortal Path is lonely!
The Sect is like a big tree, but when calamity strikes, the birds on the tree will still choose to fly their separate ways.
After River Fulton and the others offered their True Souls and completed the ritual, Carson Flores felt a bit more joy in his heart.
The team is growing stronger!
Not counting the Dark Ancestral Dragon, we now have River Fulton in the Realm of the Mystic Elephant, Sergio Wilkins and Dennis Reid in the Illusion-Breaking Realm, and Selah Ellison Venerable One, Spencer Steele, Kimberly Jas, and Porter Schneider in the Heavenly Origin Realm — seven Great Land Sovereigns in total.
This power is already enough to establish a sect in the God Immortal Domain, and it would hold considerable status!
Now that we’re all on the sa side, Carson Flores imdiately tended to River Fulton’s wounds. A few targeted premium elixirs and River Fulton’s injuries improved greatly.
"What suggestions do you have for the road ahead?"
Carson Flores smiled as he glanced around the people in the tent, "You know Armani Warren best and understand the Three Saints Sect thoroughly. Give so ideas. How can I defeat Armani Warren and control the Three Saints Sect?"
The crowd exchanged looks. After a mont’s hesitation, Dennis Reid spoke up, "Since you said you have no intention to change the sect’s structure, there’s only one problem: how to defeat Armani Warren because he is at the Fifth Realm, and the power disparity is too great."
"Apart from that, with old River here, trapping Mac Browning and others is easy. Simply reuse today’s tactics, and Mac Browning wouldn’t be guarded against old River. We can turn Mac Browning and his people into ours too, and then together deal with Armani Warren."
