The exchange between Flowing Cloud and the white-haired elder was but a single move, leaving a gigantic hole in the sky.
The white-haired elder’s blood scattered across the sky, and one of his arms exploded into a mist of blood; he then fled using blood magic, disappearing in an instant.
Flowing Cloud did not chase after him, scoffing coldly: "Rat, to think you dare assu Dragon Mountain has no one."
Carson Flores was amazed, feeling deeply shaken.
No wonder Flowing Cloud was so confident, even eager for their return; his strength is truly exceptional.
Being the master of Profound River and belonging to the sa generation of sect as Floating Cloud of Dragon Cloud Mountain, Flowing Cloud must be a top-tier powerhouse of Wuling Mountain, a true big shot.
"Senior is formidable!"
Carson Flores praised sincerely, which prompted Flowing Cloud’s teasing: "Brother Floating Cloud’s strength only surpasses mine; he never falls short. Do you regret it now?"
Carson Flores laughed openly: "Not at all. The Immortal Path is long, one may rely on the Sect or a master, but in the end, one must rely on himself. Though my current strength is lacking, I believe soday I won’t be inferior to any of the seniors."
Flowing Cloud comnded: "Well said! No wonder Brother Floating Cloud holds you in high regard. Everyone nodded, expressing they had been enlightened.
Carson Flores glanced at Profound River and the other three, smiling: "Since the senior is here, it seems my role here is done. I’ll take my leave."
Profound River asked: "Fellow Flores, where will you go next?"
Carson Flores looked at the nearby Cirelle Moonshadow and smiled: "I promised Oberon Foster that I would deliver Cirelle Moonshadow to the Illusory Moon Sect, naturally I must do so."
The expressions on the faces of Profound River and the other two turned subtle montarily; clearly, they were aware of Cirelle Moonshadow’s situation.
Flowing Cloud sharply noticed the anomaly in their expressions, asking: "What’s going on?"
Profound River clasped his hands: "Ancestor, the Wind Snow Sect previously mistakenly killed an Inner Sect Disciple of the Illusory Moon Sect..."
Profound River briefly recounted the situation, then looked expectantly at Flowing Cloud.
Flowing Cloud cast his gaze upon Carson Flores: "Are you planning to first escort her to the Illusory Moon Sect to complete the compensation from Wind Snow Sect, ending this matter, before rescuing Cirelle Moonshadow?"
Carson Flores smiled slightly: "Yes. If I hadn’t encountered it, it would be fine; but since I have, how can I sit idly by? Just as you said earlier, cultivation is about maintaining one’s spirit. If I turn a blind eye today, I would surely resent my current self when recalling it tomorrow."
Flowing Cloud laughed heartily, lightly pointing his finger at Carson Flores: "You brat, are you trying to provoke with words? I too have seen the situation; if I ignore it, wouldn’t I also beco the self I detest?"
Carson Flores, though exposed, remained unflustered, as he employed an honest and open strategy.
Those willing to act will always do so, whether or not he asks them doesn’t change that; those unwilling, even if he begs, they’d refuse out of indifference.
Carson Flores laughed: "If the senior is willing to extend a hand, that would be great. If not, it’s okay as the visitor delegation was just attacked; that’s the main issue for you to handle."
Flowing Cloud laughed: "One matter at a ti; they dared strike against us, so when we find them, it’s only rightful to repay in kind. But they are like rats in the gutter, locating them might take so ti."
"Regarding this matter, we will pressure the Sea God Sect. Even though it involves the Endless Sea, though the attackers were Great Land Pri Immortals of the Human Race, they led nurous Sea Demons and belonged to the Sea Tribe; the Sea God Sect must provide an explanation."
"Even if they aren’t the perpetrators, they must exert their best efforts to find them, or else we might lay this grievance on their shoulders."
Carson Flores frowned: "Perhaps this was the original intent of the attackers?"
Flowing Cloud nodded: "Perhaps. However, given that the Sea God Sect and us are basically adversaries, deepening the conflict isn’t a major issue, as long as both sides have a clear boundary."
"In this attack, many of our people perished and so were captured. Unless the perpetrators reveal themselves, rescuing the prisoners seems unlikely. Regardless, they are now our mortal enemies; no matter how long it takes, we will dig them out and make them pay."
Flowing Cloud paused then said: "If you aren’t in a rush, you might want to wait a little. Once I’ve t with others and communicated properly, I can accompany you to resolve Cirelle Moonshadow’s matter."
"This isn’t Wuling Mountain’s repaynt for your rescue of Profound River, but rely my personal gesture of gratitude toward you. Of course, you could also see it as sothing I can’t abide and wish to handle myself."
Carson Flores sighed in relief. Though confident in dealing with it himself, it certainly wouldn’t be as effective as Flowing Cloud’s involvent.
Even if he delivered Cirelle Moonshadow to the Illusory Moon Sect and things arose later, Illusory Moon Sect could completely act shalessly and give Wind Snow Sect trouble again.
But if it were Flowing Cloud?
Would they dare cause trouble later?
