Niall Sinclair was originally very smart. Her first thought had been that the other side would kill her to forever end the threat. After that answer was denied, she quickly thought of a second possibility.
A faint blush climbed onto Niall Sinclair’s face, and there was a hint of shyness in her eyes. "You an... if my... body is ruined, I’ll no longer be of use to the Ancestor. Is that what you’re getting at?"
Carson Flores nodded frankly. "Yes. Only that way can this trouble truly be resolved. And it’s not like you can spend your whole life as an ordinary person, never circulating Spiritual Energy, right?"
"Or else, if they investigate in secret and one day find you, they could quietly make a move and take you away. By then, you wouldn’t have any chance to resist at all."
