Carson Flores grimaced as he stripped off his clothes, revealing multiple abrasions and long gashes on his body caused by shattered bricks and stones.
Although these wounds weren’t very severe, as he was protected by Gang Qi, the large number and size of them made his upper body look severely battered, quite a frightening sight.
Carson found a pair of shorts to put on and stood up, “My head is full of dust, I’m going to wash my hair.”
Shirley Miller stood up as well, “The wounds can’t get wet.
I’ll help you.”
Carson didn’t refuse, “Okay.”
The two headed to the bathroom, where Shirley draped a bath towel over Carson’s shoulders, shielding his shoulders and back, and then picked up the shower head, lowering it and adjusting the water temperature.
Carson crouched down as Shirley helped rinse the water through his hair.
Shirley then filled the basin with water, soaked a washcloth, wrung it out, and carefully cleaned the dust and stains from Carson’s body, avoiding the wounds.
Shirley was ticulous with the care, and watching the streaks of wounds on Carson’s body, her eyes filled with pity and began to turn slightly red.
“Does it hurt a lot?”
Shirley was gentle in her movents, fearing she might cause Carson pain.
Carson chuckled, “A little, but not too much.
For a Cultivator, this is nothing.”
Shirley asked, “What happened?

Carson explained the evening’s events, “I could barely handle the oldest one.

Shirley said worriedly, “Will they take further action?”
Carson shook his head, “Now, they should be the ones who are afraid.
They must be concerned that I will launch a retaliatory strike.”
Shirley scrubbed the dirty washcloth in the scalding water as she asked, “Will you?”
Carson shook his head again, “There’s no need.
We both have our own concerns right now.
Let’s wait and see.
To take revenge on one or two people would only escalate things further, without any benefit.”
After a few seconds of silence, Shirley spoke softly, “Is it because of ?”
Carson laughed lightly, “Yes, and no.
If I were to seek revenge too soon, it would only make them more cautious and prepared.
It’s harder to annihilate them in one fell swoop that way.
If they think I am being wary of them and dare not make a move, I can then strike suddenly and forcefully, which is more likely to succeed.”
After cleaning his upper body, Shirley looked at the wounds on Carson’s legs, her cheeks reddening, “You should take off your pants.”
Carson laughed and took the towel from her, “I can do it myself, it’s not a big problem.”
Shirley wanted to say more but was stopped as Carson gently pushed her out of the bathroom with a hand on her shoulder.
Soon, Carson ca out in a new pair of shorts, his wounds now clean although still visible, but no longer with his forr dusty and dirty appearance.
The shirtless Carson showed off his solid six-pack abs, exuding a strong masculine charm.
The wounds, though unsightly, endowed Carson with a certain primal, wild allure.
Shirley’s heartbeat quickened, and she quickly gathered her composure, picking up the dical box Carson had bought.
She started to clean and disinfect the wounds with iodine.
The wounds weren’t large—rely scrapes that didn’t require stitches.
After disinfection, a bit of ointnt was all that was needed.
Once she finished with the wounds on his back, Carson said with a chuckle, “I can handle the rest.”
But Shirley was not willing to stop, “I’ll do it!
I can’t help with much else, at least I can do these small things for you—it’ll make feel a bit better.”
Carson looked at the distressed Shirley and comforted her, “These wounds are nothing.
The missions I used to undertake were much more dangerous than this, and I’m still fine, right?”
Shirley whispered softly, “But if you hadn’t been so careful today, maybe…”
Carson interrupted with a laugh, “Even if Lydia hadn’t co, I could have escaped, though I might have been laid up for a month or two.
Unless it’s a Great Grandmaster trying to kill , it’s not that easy.
Don’t worry, I’m tough to kill.
The Miller Family can’t take down!”
Shirley pursed her lips, carefully continuing to treat Carson’s wounds as she worked her way downward.

Carson looked down and caught sight of a dazzling patch of white.

Regaining her composure, Shirley looked down and noticed her disheveled attire, her eyes burning with a mix of embarrassnt and annoyance.
Adjusting her neckline, Shirley gave Carson a resentful glance and huffed, “At a ti like this, can’t you stay decent?”
