They had fresh red blood on their bodies, faces, and around their mouths.
They opened their mouths, baring their white, sharp teeth, resembling fangs far from any normal human’s teeth.
The most terrifying part was the fragnts of flesh lodged between their teeth!
"Ah!"
Due to her nearsightedness, Dong Linna observed the situation outside through her phone’s cara.
With the effect of her phone cara being magnified several tis, Dong Linna saw a close-up of a "classmate’s" face.
She was directly frightened by the bloody and terrifying scene.
This wasn’t a prank, nor acting; it was a real-life apocalypse unfolding.
Because the appearance of that zombie was too terrifying, even from several ters away, Dong Linna could seemingly sll the stench of decay and blood on its body.
This wasn’t an effect make-up could achieve.
Besides this zombie, there were several others staggering on the road.
So were only half-bodied, with innards scattered all around, yet they could still teeter and walk.
If it were a prank, if it were special effects, the cost would be astronomical.
Thud!
What made Dong Linna firmly believe the apocalypse had arrived suddenly played out before her eyes—
A boy, drained of blood, suddenly fell from upstairs.
The corpse landed in the green belt in front of the dormitory building.
Without needing to magnify with her phone cara, even with her 200-degree nearsightedness, Dong Linna could clearly see that incomplete corpse.
Before she could scream again, those few staggering zombies, hearing the commotion, sward over.
The corpse was still warm, the blood still hot, and the zombies began feasting around it.
"Ah! Ah!!"
Dong Linna couldn’t hold it any longer and scread at the top of her lungs.
Shen Hetian, though not screaming hysterically, turned pale, his legs weak beneath him.
"Shut up! Dong Linna, what the hell are you screaming for?"
"Are you trying to attract those monsters outside to us?"
"Yeah, not only not helping, but dragging us down!"
"Alright, alright, we’re all classmates here, gathered together, let’s not argue."
The few people finally dragged a bunk bed to the door, firmly barricading it.
The zombies outside kept pounding the door but couldn’t break through for the ti being.
Everyone let out a slight sigh of relief.
"Call, yes, call the police imdiately!"
"Boohoo, my parents should be okay, right? I need to call them!"
"Damn! The ergency number isn’t being answered!"
"Dad! Dad, it’s , there are zombies at the school, how are things at ho? You and mom, what, mom turned into a monster too?"
"Hello, Mom, Mom, can you hear , it’s Prince. I..."
In the dormitory, classmates’ voices rose and fell.
They were either cursing loudly into their phones or crying uncontrollably.
The entire room was in chaos.
After a brief stupor, Shen Hetian finally reacted.
He couldn’t care about looking after his little girlfriend; he shakily pulled out his phone from his pocket.
His hands trembled uncontrollably as he struggled to dial his father’s familiar eleven-digit number correctly.
Either getting it wrong or hitting an extra digit.
After struggling for quite a while, Shen Hetian finally got through to his father’s phone.
"Hello! Dad, ho... alright, I know, I’ll take good care of myself! You and mom, be careful too!"
"Don’t go out, lock all the doors and windows tightly. Oh, also, the chickens, ducks, dogs, pigs at ho, keep an eye on them, and kill them imdiately if anything happens!"
Shen Hetian, after all, had read apocalypse novels, which ntioned it.
Humans could turn into zombies, and animals could mutate too.
His parents were very lucky not to have turned into zombies.
But they raised many animals, and if they turned into zombies, their ho would still be in danger!
When Shen Hetian heard his parents were okay, the huge stone weighing on his heart finally fell.
He gradually cald down, able to think rationally.
Shen Hetian diligently recalled those apocalypse novels’ plots and the "precautions" ntioned in so online doomsday posts.
He conveyed them to his dad over the phone, one by one.
On the other side, Father Shen had yet to wake from the absurdity of "apocalypse arrival."
Even though the village was filled with screams and sounds of biting, even though the neighboring house was filled with a strong sll of blood, Father Shen still held on to hope—perhaps this was just an accident. Once daylight ca and the police arrived, everything would be fine.
