"Bang! Bang!"
The green train crushed the tracks, producing a very rhythmic sound.
The crowded carriage was filled with various sounds and slls.
In an inconspicuous corner, a young man in his twenties was sound asleep on the small table by his seat.
"Ah!"
Suddenly, he shouted, lifting his head abruptly, showing a frightened expression on his sleepy face.
His eyes were blank, staring dazedly at the hard-seat train filled with a sense of age.
"Young man? What’s the matter? Did you have a nightmare?"
"Oh dear, look at you, sweating with cold sweat on your forehead, must be frightened, right?"
The surrounding passengers were first startled by his cry, then seeing his pale face and shocked deanor, they felt a bit of pity and began to comfort him.
"...Yes, I’m sorry to disturb you all, I just had a nightmare!"
The young man finally ca back to his senses, his scattered gaze finally finding focus.
He apologized to the people around him with a face full of regret.
The young man wasn’t very old, with fair skin and handso features.
Not the currently popular square face, with thick eyebrows and large eyes, but like a fair-faced scholar, giving a gentle and obedient impression.
His polite deanor and courteous speech instantly raised the goodwill of the surrounding passengers.
"Oh my, are you a university student? You look very knowledgeable!"
The question ca from an elderly lady in her sixties, her face full of wrinkles, wearing a dark blue coarse cloth jacket, and speaking with a strong hotown accent.
"Yes, I’m attending university in the Provincial City."
The young man wiped his sweat, showing a well-behaved smile like a respectful junior towards the elder.
Although his face was humble and warm, in his heart, a storm had already been stirred up.
Rebirth!
He Jingtian was actually reborn to twenty years ago!
This year, he was a junior, about to face university allocation.
He didn’t want to return to his impoverished hotown, nor go to a cold bench in an unpopular unit, so he desperately pursued Su Anqi, the daughter of their departnt head.
He Jingtian was handso by nature, intelligent, and although his grades weren’t top-notch, they were still among the best.
However, his background wasn’t great, having grown up in a secluded and remote mountain village.
He had no family who could support him.
But not all of these were disadvantages.
At least for soone like Su Anqi, an only daughter brought up with indulgence, Professor Su and his wife instead wanted a simpler family for her marriage.
If he could directly beco a live-in son-in-law, that would be even better.
However, n willing to marry into a family weren’t usually outstanding; they were either diocre or ca from particularly complex family backgrounds.
Not to ntion Su Anqi, even Professor Su and his wife wouldn’t agree.
He Jingtian’s conditions were much better, primarily because he was good-looking.
And he had a sweet tongue.
When he used all his skills to pursue Su Anqi, he indeed moved the heart of this Little Princess of the Su Family.
He Jingtian was parentless, and there were no top-grade relatives in his rural hotown, even if he didn’t marry into a family, it was almost like being a live-in son-in-law.
Through comprehensive consideration, it was of course Su Anqi who chose He Jingtian.
Finally, on the eve of He Jingtian’s graduation, he got engaged to Su Anqi.
With Professor Su’s help, He Jingtian stayed at the university as a teacher, bought a house in the Provincial City, and settled down.
He slowly beca the Golden Phoenix that flew out of the He Family Temple, and although he no longer had close blood relatives, he still had distant relatives and fellow villagers.
He Jingtian "made sothing of himself," becoming a respected university teacher, and people from his hotown often ca by seeking help.
If soone’s family got sick and needed treatnt in the Provincial City, they would co directly to He Jingtian.
If soone’s child needed schooling and wanted to attend a good school in the Provincial City, they would request help from He Jingtian.
In the early years, due to his family’s situation, He Jingtian was discriminated against and shunned by the villagers.
After his rise, not only did he not seek revenge on these people, but he also used the thod of "granting all requests" to demonstrate his ability and status.
Perhaps it was a twisted mindset; seeing those who once bullied him now fawning like a lapdog, wagging their tails and trying to please him, gave He Jingtian an indescribable sense of satisfaction and accomplishnt.
Giving so benefits or helping the people from He Family Temple wasn’t sothing the Su Family particularly liked, but they didn’t mind much either.
Su Anqi, being a generous person, never quarreled over these matters.
Though not close to the villagers of He Family Temple, she never showed them a sour face.
Therefore, his hotown relatives all said that He Jingtian was capable, not only marrying a wealthy and distinguished wife but also managing her tightly.
