Wolves are widely recognized as very intelligent animals that are also extrely united. A wolf pack always has an alpha wolf, who is the most formidable presence in the pack and has absolute authority. The alpha adjusts battle plans according to the size or strength of the prey encountered. Therefore, many ferocious beasts do not wish to encounter wolf packs, especially large ones.
Just like now, after those wolves had attacked for a while, they realized that several people seed to be protecting Yang Ruxin. This person must be soone important, just like their alpha wolf. Xiaobai then nuzzled Yang Ruxin’s hand with its large head, making humming and chirping sounds as if it were being affectionate.
Xiaolun lay on Yang Ruxin’s shoulder, sticking its tongue out at Xiaobai, seemingly mocking it, only for Xiaobai to bare its teeth, causing Xiaolun to instantly turn timid and quickly retreat back into Yang Ruxin’s sleeve.
Even Xiaohei ca down to greet the mother and son, Xiaobai.
None of the gang seed to be taking the pack of Black Wolves around them seriously.
However, this territory belonged to the local Black Wolves, and Yang Ruxin was their prey, while Xiaobai was the intruder. So even though many of their companions had been killed, the wolf pack quickly rallied again, congregating around their alpha, with each showing sharp fangs and making low growling noises.
Defending their own territory is an animal’s instinct.
But the alpha wolf did not rush to give orders. It seed to be watching Xiaobai, sensing that this intruder was very strong, and it needed to size up its own strength.
Xiaobai didn’t co alone; it had its subordinates with it. Its subordinates couldn’t match its speed, but they too had caught up by now, and so had Dabai.
Dabai’s body had completely healed, and although it was faster than most tigers, it still couldn’t outpace its son. However, it was running at the forefront of Xiaobai’s subordinates, and following behind her were Xiaobai’s two guards, the Snow Wolf and the Ink Wolf.
"Dabai," Yang Ruxin reached out to embrace Dabai’s large head. She had not seen it during her last trip to the mountains, and now seeing her again felt very familiar.
Dabai also excitedly rubbed its head against Yang Ruxin’s face.
Yang Ruxin introduced the people by her side to them, so they would rember the scents of Du Juan and the others, and not accidentally harm them in the future.
