Chapter 1600: Chapter 1600: Soone is Following (6)
“I’m just afraid she won’t listen to you, and may even hold a grudge against you.” Chun Gui sighed, “Actually…” Actually, back when we were learning the rules in the Fang Family, I already noticed that Chunchun often wandered off to the front yard for no reason and tried to discreetly ask about Master Fang and Young Master Fang. But I couldn’t say anything about it. “In any case, during our ti together these past few days, I’ve thought of you, Azhu, and the others as my younger sisters. In the days ahead, when I’m not around you, stay vigilant. If there’s anything you’re unsure about, discuss it more with Azhu and Chun Xing. They both have their hearts in the right place…”
“Don’t worry, Sister Gui.” Chun Hua smiled. “Just focus on learning how to be a Manager. I’m not foolish; I know right from wrong. Next ti you have free ti, co back and teach us so literacy too…”
“You’re by the Young Miss’s side; you’ll naturally have opportunities to learn. You don’t need to wait for to co back to teach you.” Chun Gui smiled as well.
And Du Juan relayed all these words to Yang Ruxin without missing a single detail.
“I didn’t expect her to have such thoughtful considerations.” Yang Ruxin smiled. “Alright, I understand. Send her over, and have Uncle Cheng and Aunt Cheng keep an eye on her as well…”
In the teahouse diagonally across from Xinxin Hotpot Restaurant, a man with slightly delicate features was silently sipping his tea. Soon, a subordinate hurried in. “Young Master.”
The man lifted his eyes, signaling for him to speak.
“We’ve found out that the owner of the Xinxin Hotpot Restaurant across the street is Yang Ruxin…” The subordinate then proceeded to spill everything he had learned about Yang Ruxin in great detail.
The corner of the delicate-featured man’s lips curved faintly. “Gu Ye’s wife…” His slender fingers lightly drumd on the table. “So, he’s really not dead… and he even married a village girl? Interesting…” He glanced at the subordinate. “Keep sending people to watch her.”
The subordinate nodded and retreated.
At the sa ti, Yang Ruxin, sitting in the carriage on the way ho, suddenly sneezed for no apparent reason.
“It’s cold; don’t let yourself catch a chill, Young Miss.” Chunchun hurriedly took out a cloak from the carriage.
“No need.” Yang Ruxin waved her hand. “It’s not the weather; soone must be talking about …” She chuckled as she spoke.
“Does the Young Miss believe in that kind of thing? My mother used to say the sa thing when she was alive.” A trace of sadness flashed in Chun Hua’s eyes. Unfortunately, now it was just her and her younger sister left.
“From now on, wherever I am will be your ho.” Yang Ruxin reached out and patted her on the back of her hand.
“Mm.” Chun Hua quickly cheered up again.
Chunchun glanced at Chun Hua, then quickly poured another cup of tea and passed it over. “Young Miss, have a cup of warm tea.”
Yang Ruxin gave Chunchun a aningful look, then took the teacup and slowly sipped it. “As long as you remain loyal to , I’ll do my best to give you all a good future.”
Chun Hua and Chunchun quickly nodded in agreent.
“Young Miss, soone is following us.” Du Juan whispered softly outside the carriage window.
“Are you certain?”
“Yes.” Du Juan nodded. “They’ve been following us ever since we left the county.”
Yang Ruxin smiled faintly. The fact that they had followed this far, even past the town, clearly ant there was sothing unusual. She raised her hand and let out a sharp whistle.
Soon, a few sharp eagle cries could be heard from above, followed instantly by a man’s scream.
The carriage ca to a halt. Yang Ruxin stepped out and looked at the man Xiaohei had grabbed and tossed in front of her. She smiled. “Alright, tell , whose pawn are you?”
