Yu Qingge looked at Yang Ruxin’s backpack, her eyes shining brightly. She dared to conclude that this elder sister not only traveled through ti, but definitely had so sort of superpower, just like those mysterious spaces in novels. Unfortunately, she had asked before, and Ruxin didn’t directly admit it. But it didn’t matter if she didn’t admit it, as long as she knew.
“No more, just one.” Yang Ruxin patted the backpack.
Wei Yao didn’t think much of it. Isn’t it just a pear? She also kept so of her favorite snacks in her purse, it’s just that Xinxin’s backpack was larger.
Upon returning to the General Residence, just after getting off the carriage, they saw an old man sitting next to the stone lion at the main gate. His whole body was in a dirty, colorless Taoist robe, with even ssier facial hair, and he was continuously rubbing the dirt off his arms.
Yang Ruxin initially wanted to tell Du Juan to give so Silver or sothing to the old man, but the old man suddenly jumped up and blocked her way.
Du Juan and Xuxu hurriedly stepped forward to block him.
But the old man ignored everyone and instead stared at Yang Ruxin: “I’m hungry.”
Yang Ruxin looked him up and down, then suddenly smiled, “If you’re hungry, then co eat. Co in.”
Everyone was stunned.
The crazy old man was also stunned.
But Yang Ruxin ignored the others and went straight through the gate.
The old man scratched his nose and followed her in.
Yang Ruxin didn’t return to her own courtyard but went straight to the big kitchen. At this ti, they were preparing for lunch. Seeing her enter, they all quickly ca over to greet her.
“Alright, just continue with what you’re doing and leave two stoves.” Yang Ruxin said as she rolled up her sleeves, began to look over the ingredients, and already had a rough nu in mind.
Everyone knew the madam was good at cooking, so when they saw she was going to cook personally, they all spontaneously started helping.
The crazy old man just sat on the threshold, waiting.
Yang Ruxin quickly made four dishes and a soup. Since everything was cooked using the space’s well water, even the eggplant and fish dishes were swapped from the space when no one was looking. Thus, the aroma of the dishes quickly filled the air.
Chef A: “I’ve always cooked with these ingredients, so why doesn’t it sll as good as when the madam cooks?”
Chef B: “Because you’re not the madam.”
The crazy old man twitched his nose. Even though he hadn’t tasted it yet, he was already looking forward to the food.
Yang Ruxin asked soone to package the four dishes and soup and take them out.
“I’m hungry.” The crazy old man quickly followed.
Yang Ruxin ignored him and instead laid the al out in the flower hall, then looked at the old man, “Hungry?”
The old man nodded.
“Good,” Yang Ruxin raised an eyebrow slightly, “Just looking at it should fill you up.” She then called out to Yu Qingge and Wei Yao, “Co over, let’s eat.”
“Sis’s cooking is really delicious.” Yu Qingge proudly picked up the chopsticks and playfully stuck her tongue out at the old man, “Too bad there’s none for you.”
“Hey…” The old man beca anxious, “You, little girl, have no filial piety!”
“Filial piety?” Yang Ruxin slightly raised an eyebrow, “Crazy old man, are you trying to be funny? Who are you to that I should be filial to you?”
“I…”
“Hmph,” Yang Ruxin snorted, then picked up a piece of braised pork with her chopsticks, “Today’s attempt was quite successful. Just looking at it makes my mouth water, let alone that it’s wild boar, even more fragrant…”
