After Xiaohei and Heihei screeched twice with Yang Ruxin, they swooshed into the mist.
"Young master, why don’t you sit down and rest for a while?" Chai Qin looked at Gu Qingheng, "The madam won’t be able to co up for a while yet." Hopefully, she wouldn’t co up at all.
Gu Qingheng shook his head: "You don’t have to worry about ." His gaze remained fixed below.
Chai Qin bit her lip, saying nothing more, but stubbornly stood by his side. At such a close distance, she could see the tiny pores on the man’s face just by slightly lifting her gaze, and sll his unique, refreshing scent, which made her heart glad.
As for Changyangzi and Nian Qianqian, they originally found a place nearby where they could land, knowing that the strength of the belt wrapped around the sword handle wouldn’t hold much longer, so Nian Qianqian let Zhang Changyang throw her over.
"Co over, there’s a cave here." Nian Qianqian hugged the pine tree, pushed aside the nearby weeds, and exclaid in surprise, "Hurry over here." With a cave, they could wait until the people above ca to rescue them.
Upon hearing this, Zhang Changyang imdiately kicked against the cliff, swinging himself over as Nian Qianqian hugged the pine tree with one hand and reached out with the other.
After swinging a couple of tis, Zhang Changyang grabbed her hand and leveraged a jump over.
"Let’s go inside and take a look." Nian Qianqian smiled like a little girl, "Who knows, there might be so treasure here."
Zhang Changyang said nothing, just smiling as he went into the cave first.
As soon as they entered, they heard squeaking sounds.
Nian Qianqian jumped in fright, took a step back, and suddenly lost her footing, about to fall down.
However, Zhang Changyang, quick-eyed and swift-handed, suddenly grabbed Nian Qianqian’s arm, pulling her up to press closely against his back.
Two little squirrels suddenly scurried out of the cave, evidently its rightful owners, now displaced.
"I thought we might find sothing unusual, but it turns out to just be a squirrel’s storehouse." Once inside the cave, Nian Qianqian looked around and couldn’t help but sigh, "And now we’ve beco the intruders." The cave was filled with pine cones and so nuts, clearly stored by the squirrels for winter.
"Ha ha." Zhang Changyang chuckled, "There aren’t that many adventures out there." The cave was so small that he had to sit down.
"But there’s no water or food here. Can we hold out until they co for us?" Nian Qianqian sighed.
"We will." Zhang Changyang pulled her to sit down with him, "Don’t worry."
"But, Brother Changyang, even if they don’t find us, it doesn’t matter." Nian Qianqian reached out to hug Zhang Changyang’s arm, nestling herself entirely into his embrace, "As long as I’m with you, it’s worth it even if we die."
"No, we’ll live." Zhang Changyang shifted slightly, sighing softly, "We’ve wasted half of our lives, so for the ti left, we have to make up for it."
"How do we make up for it?" Nian Qianqian’s eyes, despite having fine lines, still brightened with beauty.
"What do you think?" Zhang Changyang suddenly felt his old face heat up, almost afraid to et her eyes.
