Inside the base of the Fla Sect, when Qi Jingyun saw that huge Hai Dongqing hopping into the room, his usually expressionless face, after a rare smile, showed a brief mont of astonishnt. The animals around Xinxin had all beco sentient.
"Xiaohei." Gu Qingheng patted Xiaohei’s head, "It’s going to be tough for you."
Xiaohei rubbed against Gu Qingheng’s hand, and with the map in its beak, it hopped out of the room and soared into the sky.
Next, their task was to find Chengzi and Weng Xin. However, their actions were restricted, and if they wanted to find people, they had to blend in internally, but that required an opportunity.
"Have you noticed that in the area we can see, there are only the followers of the Fla Sect, but we haven’t seen those laborers?" Before going to sleep, Qi Jingyun quietly reminded Gu Qingheng, "But to mine the gold, silver, and dicinal Stone, they would need a lot of laborers. Where are they staying at night?"
"Indeed." Gu Qingheng nodded, "I’ve noticed this issue too. And where are those people captured for organ harvesting being kept? It seems that this base should have another area for hiding people."
The two suddenly exchanged a glance, seemingly reaching a tacit understanding.
Just then, a commotion was faintly heard from outside.
"Re Xuan, what’s happening?" Gu Qingheng hurried out of the room.
Re Xuan didn’t show up, but there were two followers standing at the door. One of them glanced at them, "Nothing, just go back and rest well."
"Good to hear." Gu Qingheng smiled, then stretched lazily, "Ti to sleep."
But just as he turned around, he suddenly made a move.
The follower didn’t even have ti to react before their neck was grabbed, losing breath in an instant.
Similarly, the other follower at the door had their neck snapped by Qi Jingyun.
Yun Lan and Zhang Tiankuo quickly stepped forward to drag the bodies away. When they returned, they were already dressed in the Fla Sect followers’ clothing. With masks covering their faces, they wouldn’t be easily recognized unless closely examined.
Their task was to find Chengzi, Weng Xin, and the people of the Huaka Tribe.
Soon, news of the commotion below reached them. Apparently, several of the beasts had suddenly died; how they died remained unknown, but after death, they were devoured by the others.
Gu Qingheng knew it must have been the work of gold.
However, this only caused a brief uproar and soon subsided.
"Master, this is very strange." Moxie cupped his fists towards Fla, "Ever since Gu Qingheng and his people arrived, we keep having incidents here. I suspect they’re up to sothing."
Fla pondered for a mont, "Bring them here."
Two quarters later.
"Fla, it’s not very considerate to disturb soone’s sleep," Gu Qingheng said, yawning as he walked in.
"I wonder if General Gu has considered joining us?" Fla didn’t respond directly but asked, "It’s been quite a few days."
"I haven’t made up my mind yet," Gu Qingheng shrugged.
"Consider now then."
"Now?" Gu Qingheng frowned, "That’s too sudden, isn’t it?"
"I no longer have the patience to play gas with you," Fla waved his hand, "I need an answer from you imdiately."
"That’s not easy, is it?" Gu Qingheng looked troubled, "How could I decide on such a big matter in just a few days? How about I go back and think it over?"
