Before she could finish, Shen Mo understood. As one of only two Class IV Alchemists in the Riverside Sect, he naturally knew the effects of the Grade V Elixir, the Dreamy Birth Pill. This elixir was commonly used by Spirit Sea Realm experts to experience the mysteries of life and death, seeking that sliver of opportunity for advancent to break through their current Realm—what was known in the cultivation world as "crossing the Death Pass."
This elixir must have been made by Zhao Lingyin’s Master, Grade IV Alchemist Wu Gong, Shen Mo deduced. And I only have one Grade IV elixir recipe, for the Blood Ginseng Red Sun Pill. I don’t even have a single Grade V elixir recipe, let alone one for the Dreamy Birth Pill!
Although it was a set, the elixir was divided into two pills: the Dreamy Death Pill and the Dreamy Birth Pill. Taking the Dreamy Death Pill could indeed induce a state of Nirvana, eradicating all thought, offering a ninety percent chance of preventing recapture by the Suspended Fairy Mountain. However, once in a state of soul Nirvana, one would be completely oblivious, unable to awaken even if attacked by blades or axes. Aside from a cultivator’s robust vitality, they would be no different from mortals—in so ways, even worse. Unfortunately, their current predicant didn’t allow them to take this elixir safely.

It was likely that any nearby Sea Beasts had also been "purified" by the mountain and its Buddhist temple—many statues in the naless Treasure Hall even had fish heads. Over ti, these creatures had instinctively learned to avoid this perilous place. However, beyond that fifty-mile radius, savage Sea Beasts still lurked. Although both possessed strong vitality, after taking the Dreamy Death Pill, they would be like the living dead, utterly unable to prevent a Sea Beast from capsizing their small boat and devouring them. Even if the Sea Beasts’ teeth and stomachs couldn’t harm Shen Mo’s and Jiang Lingfeng’s Dao Bodies, they would still be carried away. If no one fed them the Dreamy Birth Pill, they wouldn’t awaken and would most likely sleep until death!
"Then... let’s gamble!" A strange light flickered in Shen Mo’s eyes.
Even being eaten by savage Sea Beasts is better than becoming a statue on a lotus throne in that Treasure Hall! he thought. Unfortunately, I don’t have any Skills or Special Destinies that could put into a state of "no-thought." I could use this brief mont to take Spirit Stones from my Universe Bag and offer them to [Martial Performance]... I could cultivate several cultivation thods that are close to the Epic realm—like *Heavenly Origin Technique*, *Immortal Wind Cloud Physique*, and *Three-Heads Six-Arms True Immortal Technique*—to Extrely Perfection. Once I reach the Godlike state, I might obtain new Skills! However, even using [Martial Performance] to fully cultivate the *Heavenly Origin Technique*, which is closest to Extrely Perfection, would take well over ten days. There’s definitely not enough ti now! Besides, even if I did acquire a new Skill, the chances of it coincidentally allowing to enter a state of "no-thought" without affecting my ability to use magic and martial arts are less than one in ten thousand. Using Destiny Points to draw a new Special Destiny from the Destiny Pool is just as improbable; the odds are so low they’re negligible! Still, I do want to spend Destiny Points to improve my Basic Destiny, Luck.

Right now, my Destiny Disc shows one purple, three blue, and one green. Fate and Lifespan are still unknown! My Luck is [Noble], which is blue quality. With my remaining Destiny Points, I can try seven tis to see if I can upgrade it to [Starry]. After all, once Jiang Lingfeng and I take the Dreamy Death Pill, we’ll be betting our lives and fortunes... betting that we won’t be swallowed by a Sea Beast, but will instead drift near the Black Canopy Magic Boat and be seen by Ming Yu; betting that even if we are eaten, soone will find the Sea Beast that consud us and rescue us! Of course, all this hinges on us drifting far enough from the Suspended Fairy Mountain so that even if a thought about it arises, we won’t be drawn back.
Then again, if we could safely return to the Riverside Sect or to the side of a Supre Elder, those experts would surely find a way to counteract this bizarre phenonon!
Imdiately, Shen Mo opened the panel and invested his Destiny Points into his Basic Destiny, Luck.

At the sa ti, Jiang Lingfeng, watching from the side, saw him first grit his teeth and then beco ecstatic, her eyes filled with puzzlent. But in the next instant, she saw a faint, dazzling starlight flare above Shen Mo’s head, illuminating him briefly before quickly vanishing, making Jiang Lingfeng wonder if she had imagined it.
