After the eting ended, Li Hongbing imdiately arranged for vehicles to depart.

Forty minutes later, Li Hongbing and Mr. Zhao accompanied Jiang An, Zhang Yean, and Wan to the cri scene.

Two black business cars parked by the side of the cent road.

"Mr. Jiang, the road up ahead is narrow, the cars can only reach this point."

Mr. Zhao, holding the steering wheel, turned his head and said.

Jiang An replied, "It’s okay, we’ll get out and walk over."

Opening the car door, Jiang An stepped out. Looking ahead, he saw a rural settlent of three tile-roofed houses already cordoned off by white police tape.

After getting out of the car, Jiang An did not imdiately head towards the courtyard gate.

He paused for a mont, looking around.

"The location of the deceased’s ho is indeed quite remote, far from the surrounding villages."

Li Hongbing, standing next to him, also said, "Exactly! This place is quite isolated, relatively remote."

"As you said, this may have caused them to lose the chance to call for help."

Li Hongbing glanced around. "There’s no surveillance cara in sight here."

"Otherwise, we might have been able to gather so useful information through surveillance."

After a mont, Jiang An said, "Let’s go! We’ll take a look at the central scene."

Imdiately, Jiang An stepped forward quickly.

Li Hongbing and Mr. Zhao followed closely behind.

In no ti, the five of them arrived at the edge of the white police tape.

Raising the tape, Jiang An walked inside, fixing his gaze on the small gate of the courtyard.

"Mr Li, was the gate of this courtyard in a closed state?"

Li Hongbing nodded slightly.

"According to the informant’s report, when they first arrived, they found the small gate of the courtyard closed and locked."

"Oh?"

"Is there a latch lock behind this wooden door?"

Jiang An was a bit surprised.

Mr Li nodded.

"At the ti, I was a bit puzzled myself and asked the informant about this several tis."

"The informant clearly stated that the small gate of the courtyard was locked."

"They entered the scene after unlocking it."

After a brief pause, Li Hongbing looked around the surroundings.

"These fences are quite low, the wooden gate here is practically just ornantal."

"For soone agile, a light leap would allow them to get over it."

Jiang An glanced around, casually asking, "At that ti, were these low fences thoroughly investigated during the scene inspection?"

Li Hongbing looked around, finally fixing his gaze on Mr. Zhao.

Mr. Zhao instantly understood, hurriedly responding, "At the ti, I led the scene investigation team to thoroughly inspect these fences, but found no trace of climbing."

After pondering for a long ti, Jiang An said, "If that’s the case, the only way the killer could have entered this central scene is through this door."

At this mont, Jiang An stepped forward, bent down to examine the wooden gate.

Sure enough, he found a black latch lock in the middle of the gate.

Jiang An slowly squatted down, carefully checking for any signs of stepping on the edge of the wooden gate.

However.

Unfortunately, no valuable physical evidence or clues were found.

Imdiately, another possibility occurred to Jiang An.

He pushed open the courtyard gate, squatted behind the door, and carefully observed the state of the latch.

Zhang Yean also walked over, asking, "Mr. Jiang, is there a problem with this latch?"

Hearing Zhang Yean call him "Mr. Jiang," Jiang An felt a bit uneasy.

However, thinking they were currently in Han City, he didn’t mind too much.

Jiang An replied, "There’s no problem with this latch."

"But I’m considering whether the killer might have had contact with this latch lock."

At this mont, Li Hongbing and Mr. Zhao also walked over.

Jiang An took out a pair of gloves from his pocket and put them on.

Li Hongbing said, "Look how diligent Mr. Jiang is, always carrying a pair of gloves."

Mr. Zhao said, "I learned sothing new today!"

"Later, I must urge all the forensic experts in Han City to adopt this habit."

At this mont, Jiang An furrowed his brows slightly, looking down for a long ti.

Zhang Yean asked, "Are there any traces on the latch?"

"Not visible to the naked eye."

Zhang Yean said, "Would you like to use fingerprint revealing powder to try?"

Jiang An nodded, "That’s the best thod!"

"Later I’ll ask if they have fingerprint revealing powder available here in Han City."

Jiang An said, "It’s best to handle these traces as quickly as possible."

"The outdoor conditions are harsh; if a storm occurs, it could damage the evidence."

Seeing Jiang An’s in-depth observation, Li Hongbing asked, "Mr. Jiang, do you need any special equipnt?"

Zhang Yean turned to ask, "Do you have any fingerprint revealing powder?"

Mr. Zhao smiled helplessly.

"We do have fingerprint revealing powder, but it’s expired and currently in the process of being reordered."

Suddenly, a trace of anger flashed across Li Hongbing’s face.

He said, "How co this consumable equipnt always fails when it’s needed?"

Mr. Zhao shrugged, sowhat helplessly saying, "The shelf life of this special reagent is very short!"

"We’re in the process of buying new reagents."

Zhang Yean turned around and said, "Mr. Li, Mr. Zhao, you don’t need to worry."

"We can ask Jiangcheng’s criminal investigation to send over so reagents still within their shelf life for urgent use."

Suddenly, Li Hongbing gave an awkward smile.

"Really sorry to put Jiangcheng to sha this ti."

"Inviting you all the way here and still needing you to bring your own equipnt."

Jiang An turned and said, "Not at all!"

"We’re all family in criminal investigation, all for the need of case investigation."
