At this mont, the eting room door was pushed open with a creak.

Everyone’s eyes were drawn to the entrance.

Mr. Zhang strode in with large steps.

He stood tall, his uniform neat and crisp, with a hint of apology on his face.

As he entered, he quickly reached out his hand, slightly bowed, and said, "I sincerely apologize to the three leaders for not being able to et with all of you promptly, I feel deeply ashad."

"You see, I just returned from a business trip out of town and rushed here to et the three leaders without catching my breath."

Seeing the head of Jiangcheng City Public Security Bureau personally co to greet them.

Mr. Bai and the other two directors were both surprised and delighted, and quickly stood up.

Mr. Bai smiled broadly, walked briskly forward, and tightly shook Mr. Zhang’s hand.

His eyes slightly squinted as he exclaid, "Mr. Zhang, long ti no see."

"The last ti we t was at the Criminal Investigation Summit Forum."

"Ti flies, it’s been over ten years now."

Mr. Zhang also smiled, firmly gripping Mr. Bai’s hand and shaking it continuously.

He responded, "Yes, back then I was just a deputy director in charge of administration."

While speaking, he turned to look at Mr. Ma.

"I brought Mr. Ma to the Criminal Investigation Summit Forum back then."

"Listening to your lecture was truly enlightening and beneficial."

The two shook hands tightly, their eyes full of joy and excitent of old friends reuniting, as if there was endless conversation.

Then, Mr. Zhang slightly loosened his grip, looked earnestly, his gaze passing over the faces of the three directors one by one.

"Actually, regarding this unsolved and mysterious case in Jiangcheng."

"I’ve long wanted to invite Mr. Bai to co and provide guidance, but feared wasting his valuable ti."

Mr. Bai lightly waved his hand, the corners of his mouth lifting.

He showed a gentle smile, saying, "Mr. Zhang, you’re too kind."

"If needed, just speak up, we can co over anyti."

"Alright, please have a seat."

As he spoke, Mr. Zhang imdiately gestured for them to sit.

After the three directors followed and sat down, he turned and walked steadily to the opposite seat, sitting down neatly.

Mr. Ma tacitly made way for Mr. Zhang.

After all, in such high-level eting occasions, ranks can’t be ignored.

He slightly turned his body, showing just the right amount of respect on his face.

After Mr. Zhang was seated, Mr. Bai leaned forward, elbows on the table.

His fingers interlocked, looking at Mr. Zhang, he slowly said, "Earlier, Mr. Ma and the three young colleagues provided us with a brief introduction of this case."

"Before you arrived, I also shared my thoughts on this case with everyone."

After listening, Mr. Zhang nodded lightly.

He then slightly turned his head, his gaze falling on the PPT beside him, his eyes suddenly deepening,

as if his thoughts were pulled back to ten years ago.

The smile originally worn on his face froze instantly.

He furrowed his brows, his expression grave as he said, "Mr. Bai, to tell the truth, this case has long been a regret for as a police officer."

"Back then, I had just been promoted from a detective team captain to deputy director, overseeing criminal investigation work."

"This was the first case after I took the position of deputy director in charge of criminal investigation."

"But who could have imagined, the first case hit a snag, didn’t start off well."

As he spoke, he pulled a bitter smile, containing a touch of helplessness.

"To investigate this case, we assembled all the elite forces of the city’s criminal investigation."

"We looked into all aspects of scene investigation, body examination, investigations, and surveillance."

"Yet ultimately, there wasn’t a breakthrough."

"We couldn’t even see the shadow of the suspect, it felt like groping in the dark without finding the right direction."

"So today, I’d like to ask the three of you to put extra effort into helping us broaden our ideas."

Then, opposite, Mr. Bai slightly tilted his head, pondered for a mont, then spoke, "Mr. Zhang, let reiterate my point briefly."

"Just now, I looked at these photos and listened to Zhang’s report."

"I find many unusual aspects in this case."

"In past disputes over prostitution fees, they were relatively simple, mostly escalating over price argunts after the service, leading to death."

"However, those deaths were usually cris of passion, leaving abundant evidence at the cri scene."

"Yet, this case is extrely special."

"First, there are two deaths."

"And, the locations are different, one on the first floor, one on the second floor."

"Moreover, in the photo of the nude woman on the second floor, I didn’t detect significant traces of engaging in special transactions for long."

Upon hearing this sentence, Mr. Zhang and Mr. Ma seed to have heard sothing surprising.

Their eyes widened instantly, mouths slightly open, faces full of astonishnt.

Exchanging glances, they both showed aningful expressions.

On this case, they were most familiar, and the impression the deepest.

"Oh? No signs of special transactions?"

Mr. Zhang and Mr. Ma asked in unison.

Their faces were still in shock, eyes tightly fixed on Mr. Bai.

Next, Mr. Bai spread his hands open and explained, "Actually, this is just my intuition, feeling it’s quite different from past cases."
