Upon hearing this sudden question, Liu Tie’s face changed dramatically, his brows furrowed tightly, and a trace of barely noticeable panic flashed in his eyes.

He took a deep breath and asked in a slightly trembling voice, "What? Officer, is there sothing you’re misunderstanding?"

"I’ve already had a hard day operating an excavator. Then, out of nowhere, I’m taken to the police station."

"Do you have any solid evidence to suspect of being involved in a criminal case?"

"Besides, I’m just an ordinary worker, and there’s never been a case near . How could I possibly be involved in any criminal case?"

anwhile, standing nearby, Mr. Wang, Mr. Ma, and Li Jian exchanged puzzled glances, seeing the confusion reflected in each other’s eyes.

Li Jian slowly stepped forward, his tone calm yet probing.

"Calm down! We’re just following routine procedure, and we ask for your cooperation in the investigation."

At this mont, Jiang An, who had been silently observing, suddenly turned to Mr. Wang and whispered, "Did you notice anything unusual about his responses?"

"His eyes are darting around, never daring to look us straight in the eye."

"Although his facial features resemble those of the suspect in the photo, upon careful observation, I noticed there are so subtle differences."

"Differences?"

"What differences?" Mr. Wang imdiately beca alert.

Jiang An lowered his voice and explained, "First, the wound above his lip; the suspect in the photo doesn’t have that."

"Although he said it was from a fall, I can’t help but find it suspicious."

"Moreover, judging from his overall deanor, he seems far more aggressive than the person in the photo."

Hearing this, Mr. Ma leaned in to take a closer look at Liu Tie. "It doesn’t seem like there’s a big issue here."

However, Mr. Wang squinted his eyes, showing a contemplative expression.

Turning to Jiang An, he asked gravely, "You an... he is indeed a suspect?"

After Jiang An’s outstanding performance last night, Mr. Wang had grown to greatly trust his professional judgnt.

Jiang An nodded slightly, "He said the wound at the corner of his mouth was from a fall, but from a forensic perspective, the shape of the wound doesn’t match the typical traits of a glass cut."

Hearing this, everyone’s eyes in the room swiftly turned to Liu Tie.

Jiang An continued his orderly analysis, "As a forensic officer, I specialize in various trauma characteristics."

"If a wound is caused by glass shards, due to the irregularity of shattered glass, the resulting wound should be chaotic."

"But did you notice?"

"The suture marks of his wound are unusually neat, forming a standard spindle shape."

"This kind of wound seems more like it was deliberately made with so regular tool."

Jiang An’s professional analysis elicited nods of agreent from those present.

Even though they’re not forensic experts, they could understand as much from common sense.

Wounds caused by glass shards should indeed be irregular.

Mr. Ma thoughtfully stroked his chin and turned to Mr. Wang, "Mr. Wang, I think Jiang An’s analysis makes a lot of sense."

"Should we take him to the interrogation room for further questioning?"

Mr. Wang’s gaze sharpened as he stared at Liu Tie.

He stood there, gripping his ID card so tightly it creased.

"In a criminal investigation, we can’t overlook any suspicious clues."

Mr. Wang said decisively, "Even if there’s just a one-in-ten-thousand chance, we must get to the bottom of it."

At this mont, Wan discreetly moved closer to Liu Tie, ready to intervene in case he made any erratic moves.

Mr. Ma took a step forward, his tone stern yet polite, "Mr. Liu Tie, we do indeed need your cooperation in a criminal investigation."

"If the investigation verifies your innocence, we will certainly clear your na."

"But if you are indeed involved, we hope you will co forward voluntarily."

"What kind of problem could I have?"

Liu Tie spread his hands, trying to appear calm, "Since you need to investigate, I’ll cooperate."

"I have a clear conscience."

On the way to the interrogation room with Liu Tie, Jiang An suggested to Mr. Wang, "Mr. Wang, do you have connections in the Chuan Province police system? We need to verify this Liu Tie’s true background."

"No problem."

"I’ll contact a colleague at the Chuan Province Criminal Investigation Division right away to assist with the investigation."

Mr. Wang said as he pulled out his phone.

Jiang An added, "The priority is to check if he’s truly an orphan; next, compare his height characteristics; and finally, learn about his living habits and social circle locally."

"This information is crucial to confirming his true identity."

"Understood, I’ll arrange it." Mr. Wang nodded in response.

Unknowingly, he had completely adopted Jiang An’s professional recomndations.

This detail made Mr. Ma silently marvel at the young forensic expert’s impressive professionalism.

anwhile, Liu Tie was escorted into the interrogation room of the criminal investigation unit.

The cold tal door slamd shut behind him with a heavy thud.

The harsh white light of the interrogation room illuminated Liu Tie’s slightly fatigued face, his hands resting naturally on the table, as if he were rely there for an ordinary conversation.

Across the interrogation table, Mr. Ma and Li Jian were fully prepared, with thick case files laid out before them.

Li Jian opened his notebook, asking in a deep voice, "Liu Tie, your eyes look very tired?"

Liu Tie yawned and rubbed his reddened eyes.

"Officer, I’ve been operating the excavator all day, from six in the morning to ten at night. I have to rest for a while."
