"If you can't solve this case, probably no one will dare ask us to solve cases again."

"Haha, Captain, you're flattering ." Jiang An scratched his head embarrassedly, "Let's not be so absolute. Since they've asked us to support, it must be complex."

Upon hearing this, Li Jian nodded, his expression turning serious again.

"That's for sure!"

"If it were a regular case, they wouldn't have found you."

"But don't have too much ntal burden, just do your best."

"So cases indeed have objective conditions that don't support solving them, so don't force it too hard."

He walked to Jiang An's side and lowered his voice, "In summary, if you encounter any issues there that require our intervention to coordinate, you can call Mr. Ma and imdiately."

"Alright, thank you."

Jiang An looked at his wristwatch, "We might head out imdiately."

With a ding, he glanced down at his phone, a ssage from Chen Biao displayed.

The ticket has been booked, and the flight is in two hours.

Li Jian walked over and heavily patted him on the shoulder, "Ti is tight, I won't say much."

"In a mont, I'll arrange for the internal affairs to drive you over."

His gaze beca profound, "Bring your belongings well, this might be a long battle, probably won't co back for ten days or half a month."

"The weather over in Chuan City is colder than here, rember to take a few warm clothes."

"Yes, Captain."

Jiang An nodded solemnly, already ntally calculating the list of items to bring.

Turning to walk towards his desk, Jiang An felt his heartbeat speed up a bit.

This isn't just an important mission, but also an opportunity to prove himself.

Thirty minutes later, Jiang An, Wan, and Fang Yan swiftly walked into Jiangcheng City's airport terminal with their suitcases.

The early sumr sunlight stread through the glass curtain wall, casting mottled shadows on the floor.

Their suitcase wheels emitted a rhythmic rolling sound on the shiny marble floor.

"Forty minutes until boarding."

Jiang An raised his hand to look at his watch, "Ti should be sufficient."

Wan smiled, "No problem, we'll go through the VIP lane."

"I checked earlier, the on-ti rate for flights today is quite high."

Fang Yan adjusted her shirt collar, hanging her badge prominently on her chest.

The three of them walked briskly through the bustling departure hall, attracting curious glances from many travelers.

As they walked, Wan suddenly turned his head to look at Jiang An, eyes glinting mischievously, "Captain Jiang, this ti, Sister and I are following you on this adventure."

"I heard there are lots of delicacies in Chuan City, are you going to treat us to so good food, while taking care of health at the sa ti?"

Jiang An stopped, speaking gravely, "We're not going on a trip."

His voice was deep and serious, "This mission represents the capability and reputation of the entire Jiangcheng cri investigation."

"The unsolved case of the headless female corpse remaining unresolved in Chuan City must be a tough nut to crack."

"Relax."

Fang Yan patted Jiang An's shoulder, "Don't be too stressed."

"Solving a case is like solving a math problem, as long as you find the correct entry point, even the most complex case will unravel."

Jiang An took a deep breath, looking towards the boarding gate, "Let's hope so."

The two-hour flight passed in an instant.

When the plane landed at Chuan City International Airport, the afterglow of the sunset stread through the porthole into the cabin.

Jiang An rubbed his sowhat sore neck and, through the window, could see the flashing navigation lights on the tarmac.

Just as he walked out of the gate, Jiang An's phone suddenly rang, the caller ID showed Deputy Captain Chen Biao.

"Hello, Captain Jiang, we've already arrived at the reception area."

Jiang An looked around and soon spotted the target in the crowd of greeters.

A burly middle-aged man was raising his arm to signal them, with several uniford police officers standing beside him.

"I see you."

Jiang An hung up the phone, briskly walking towards them with his teammates.

Captain Chen Biao and two officers ca to greet them, faces filled with smiles, "Captain Jiang, it's really a hassle for you to co all this way."

He reached out and shook hands with Jiang An firmly, Jiang An could feel the strength and warmth from his palm.

"No need to be polite, Captain Chen."

Jiang An responded with a smile, "It's all for work."

"Cri investigation should transcend regions, all police are one family."

"Well said!"

Captain Chen laughed heartily, the wrinkles around his eyes relaxed, "Now we're family."

"However, the imdiate priority is to quickly familiarize ourselves with the case and strive to find a breakthrough soon."

"I had the sa thought." Jiang An nodded, his gaze resolute.

"Great! The car is ready, let's head straight to the team."

Captain Chen gestured, "I specially arranged a business vehicle, we can have a brief chat on the way."

At 7 PM sharp, the Chuan City cri investigation team eting room was packed.

More than twenty detectives squeezed into the sowhat cramped space, the air filled with the heavy sll of smoke and the bitter aroma of coffee.

Everyone's face showed fatigue, the table littered with thick case files and half-drunk bottles of mineral water.

When Wang Yang, Chen Biao, Jiang An, and others pushed the door open and entered, the eting room instantly fell silent.

All eyes turned in unison towards the door, followed by whispers.

"Are these the experts from Jiangcheng?"

"They look like newly graduated college students."

"Weren't we told they're forensic experts?"

"I thought it would be soone like Mr. Ma..."

"Listen to the arrangents, maybe they have exceptional skills."

.....

Though these discussions were low, they remained clearly audible in the quiet eting room.

Jiang An's expression remained unchanged, but Wan and Fang Yan were visibly uncomfortable, subconsciously straightening their backs.

Captain Chen coughed heavily, the eting room imdiately quieted.

"Colleagues, let introduce them."

His voice was sonorous, "These are the elites from Jiangcheng cri investigation team."

"Though young, every one of them is an experienced case solver."

He turned to Jiang An, "Especially Captain Jiang, the youngest cri investigation captain in Jiangcheng, also a key mber."

"On social dia, there are countless reports about his case-solving achievents."

Captain Chen paused, looking around the room.

"More remarkably, Captain Jiang has won three second-class honors, eight third-class honors in just two years, breaking records in Jiangcheng."

The eting room erupted in amazent.

"Three second-class honors in two years?"

"I've worked fifteen years and only got one!"

"This achievent is too exaggerated, right? It's not..."

"Shhh, keep it down..."

The skeptical looks gradually transford into surprise and curiosity.

Captain Chen was pleased with everyone's reactions, continuing, "Now, let's warmly welco the arrival of these experts for guidance!"

The room echoed with thunderous applause.

Jiang An noticed that although many detectives were applauding, the suspicion in their eyes hadn't completely disappeared.

It wasn't surprising, considering he indeed looked too young.

The applause lasted nearly two minutes, Captain Wang raised his hand to signal quiet: "Ti is short, let's get straight to the point."

"Deputy Chen, please report the case to the experts."

"Yes!"

Chen Biao quickly walked to the projector, clicking open the prepared PPT.

The first page held a bright welco ssage: Warmly welco the Jiangcheng City Public Security Bureau cri investigation team's guidance.

Seeing these words, Wan and Fang Yan exchanged confident smiles.

Jiang An remained calm, focusing attentively on the upcoming content.

He knew the real challenge was just beginning.

Chen Biao slid the mouse, the screen switched to a field photo: "The case happened ten days ago, an elderly man gathering herbs up the mountain discovered the corpse."

The photo displayed a dense forest, scattered with pieces of White Bone and fragnts of clothing.

"At the ti, night had already fallen, the deceased only left behind a pile of bones and partial clothing, the head missing."

Chen Biao's voice grew heavy, "We imdiately sealed off the scene, conducted a thorough investigation and surrounding interviews."

"Yet, after a week of screening, the deceased's identity still couldn't be confird."

He switched to the next photo, a clothing close-up.

"Judging from the clothing, the deceased was female, between 25-35 years old."

"But strangely..." he paused.

"We haven't found any clues related to the deceased within a five-kiloter radius, it's like this person appeared out of nowhere."

The atmosphere in the eting room suddenly grew tense.

Jiang An furrowed his brow slightly, eyes fixed on the projection screen.

This case is indeed not simple.
