Chapter 1080: Chapter 688: Danger
As Liu Hun walked towards the restaurant, he noticed that there were hardly any people in the lobby, giving the place a sowhat deserted feel. It was a stark contrast to the bustling atmosphere before he had left.
Frowning slightly at the sight, Liu Hun raised his eyebrows.
“Liu… Liu Director, it’s actually Liu Director…” The people dining at the restaurant seed a bit uninterested. At so point, soone with sharp eyes spotted Liu Hun at the entrance and excitedly called out to him.
Those who still frequented Tianhe Restaurant were mostly regular custors, as their increasingly robust health was attributed to the restaurant. With nothing better to do, many continued to dine there out of habit.
“Everyone, are you still enjoying your als here?” Liu Hun asked with a smile as the crowd turned to look at him.
“Of course, we are accustod to it. The prices are so fair, and we’re regulars, so why wouldn’t we be? It’s just that…” One middle-aged man hesitated.
“The custor is God, a guiding principle in the service industry and equally true for us at Tianhe Restaurant. If you have any issues, feel free to speak up, and I assure you we will address them,” Liu Hun said with a smile, despite the hesitation he sensed from the custors.
To enhance his power, Liu Hun needed to rely on the Power of Faith from these people, so he could not afford to lose them.
“Director Liu, we heard that you weren’t in Huaihai Province recently, and these issues have only arisen lately. As loyal custors, we still co to eat at Tianhe Restaurant to support it, but if this continues in the long term, we fear the restaurant might collapse. We genuinely appreciate what Tianhe Restaurant and you have done for us; without you, my longstanding ailnts would likely have persisted,” the middle-aged man added with a wry smile.
After listening, Liu Hun paused, finally understanding why Tianhe Restaurant was in its current state.
Recently, another restaurant appeared in Huaihai Province called Tianhe Chain Restaurant, with a na that only added “Chain.” Its dishes and tastes were identical, but prices were lower than Tianhe Restaurant’s.
Initially, custors mistook it for a branch of Tianhe Restaurant, as Tianhe had over a hundred branches across Huaihai Province, with several in the Provincial City alone.
It was not suspicious initially, but within days, custors flocked to Tianhe Chain Restaurant instead of Tianhe Restaurant.
Even after clarifications, custors still preferred the chain restaurant, leaving Tianhe Restaurant increasingly deserted.
“Don’t worry, everyone. Although we cannot stop such comrcial plagiarism, since I created these dishes, I can create more. Our Tianhe Restaurant will always have the edge because of our Divine Doctor,” Liu Hun reassured with a smile.
“Director Liu, do you have any major plans?” a custor asked, eyes bright with excitent.
They hoped Liu Hun’s return would spark action; they sincerely didn’t want Tianhe Restaurant to decline further.
Despite Tianhe Chain Restaurant having the sa taste, they had unique affection for Tianhe Restaurant, thanks to Liu Hun resolving their minor health issues.
Health is more important than money.
“I plan to acquire two large hospitals, develop new dishes, and introduce a VIP program. Custors with VIP status at Tianhe Restaurant will enjoy free dical treatnt for ten years, covering all dical expenses. If facing rare illnesses that hospital doctors can’t treat, I, Liu Hun, will personally take care of it!” Liu Hun stated boldly after so thought.
“Of course, these tasks require ti, not achievable in just a few days,” Liu Hun added apologetically.
“Director Liu, isn’t this too much? With just a VIP mbership, you’re offering so much. We…” another custor spoke up, concerned.
From their perspective, the deal seed beneficial. But from Liu Hun’s angle, it appeared costly, as a al at Tianhe amounted to just a few bucks.
Yet, the cost to Liu Hun was significant, making them reluctant to accept.
“Taking from the community to serve the community is the Dao of dicine. Saving lives is the responsibility of a doctor. Though I’m an entrepreneur, I’m also a doctor, and Tianhe Restaurant can cover your dical expenses,” Liu Hun expressed, touched by their concern.
One appreciates warmth most in adversity, be it for a person or a business.
“But Director Liu, it’s really…” soone continued.
“Enough, I’ve decided. Today, everyone here is a lucky patron, entitled to lifeti Diamond VIP benefits,” Liu Hun announced with a smile.
“Liu… Director Liu, what are the Diamond VIP benefits?” the crowd asked, bewildered.
Seeing their puzzled faces, Liu Hun laughed and explained, “Diamond VIP is the highest level, offering lifeti free dining and dical treatnt at Tianhe. However, one card is for one family, and we’ll bind your information accordingly. I hope you understand.”
“Wow! Director Liu, we’ll pay for VIP mbership without needing special treatnt. We just happened to dine here when you arrived,” they exclaid, awestruck.
That a card could cover an entire family was astonishing, but this was indeed overly generous.
“For you, it’s just a al, but for , you are our most loyal custors. If we don’t treat you well, how can we treat others? Okay, this al is on . I have matters to attend to upstairs, so please enjoy,” Liu Hun concluded.
After leaving the hall, Liu Hun headed upstairs and soon heard a voice with a hint of grievance, “Aren’t you being excessive?!”
“Miss Han, you’re surely aware of Tianhe Restaurant’s plight. With business so poor even at the main store, let alone branches, your father would agree to sell to us if he were here. So, I hope you consider the opportunity, as such chances may not co again,” a clear voice countered to Han Bing’er.
Recently, after Liu Hun’s departure, Han Xin’er returned to the Southeast Province, finding no reason to stay in Huaihai Province.
She preferred campus life. The sudden rise of Tianhe Chain Restaurant kept Han Bing’er’s father busy, scarcely available at the main store.
Thus, Bai Jie, Tianhe Chain Restaurant’s manager, approached with a forced acquisition proposal.
“Forget it, we won’t sell to you frauds, regardless!” Han Bing’er, on a break, was minding the store and had not expected such an incident.
“Miss Han, one must know their limits. If you don’t sign today, I may have to use force. So I’d recomnd being sensible, as it’s unfavorable for all,” Bai Jie warned, pausing.
Bai Jie continued, “Selling to us now still gains Tianhe Restaurant significant funds. But continued inefficiency will eventually deplete it, erasing your father’s lifelong devotion. Would you let him drown in debt?”
Bai Jie adeptly targeted Han Bing’er’s and Han Xin’er’s vulnerability—both sisters’ greatest weakness.
Though backed by Tianhe Company, the restaurant matter bore no relation to it. Rather, Tianhe Restaurant’s prior success stemd solely from Liu Hun’s efforts.
