Guo Wen was fully aware that Liu Jun was intentionally provoking him with those words.

However, now Guo Wen had no other choice. Back then, Liu Jun’s brother died because he acted on his own initiative, causing a mission to fail, and Liu Jun had always blad Long Bing’er for it.

After all, if Long Bing’er hadn’t assigned his brother that mission, perhaps he wouldn’t have died.

Because of that incident, an enraged Liu Jun created a super bomb and destroyed half of the Dragon Sect’s headquarters. He hid the bomb in a file, causing the explosion.

Guo Wen could be sure that the current Liu Jun wouldn’t dare do such a thing again. He was no longer the reckless youth he once was; he had matured considerably. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be here causing trouble today.

What worried Guo Wen was Liu Jun’s background. Anyone else might have ended up in prison for such an act, but Liu Jun just resigned from his job and continued living well.

Taking a deep breath, Guo Wen slowly picked up the docunt. After glancing at it, his expression changed, turning angry and helpless as he shouted at Liu Jun before him: "There’s no way our sect is sending half its people to help you set up another departnt!"

"Brother Guo Wen, I knew you’d get this worked up, that’s why I’m here to see the leader. The black and white text makes it clear, and the higher-ups have agreed, so you have no say in this. If the leader isn’t around, then I’ll have to trouble you!" Liu Jun said, pulling out a pen from his pocket to hand it to Guo Wen.

Suppressing his anger, Guo Wen said in a deep voice, "I don’t have the authority to decide this. If you really have the capability, you can go directly to the leader and have them sign it. Rember, I’m just an acting deputy group leader."

"True, an acting deputy doesn’t have such authority, only leaders and deputies do. But I heard the leader has confird the new deputy, so just tell who it is, and I’ll get their signature. Of course, I do feel it’s unfair for you, considering all you’ve done for the sect and how fitting you would have been for the deputy role." Liu Jun sighed and took the docunt from Guo Wen, speaking with regret.

Guo Wen’s face darkened at his words. Though he outwardly seed indifferent, the deputy position had been vacant for over ten years, and he’d been the informal successor.

Then suddenly, Long Bing’er announced that the deputy had been appointed, but it wasn’t Guo Wen. Temporarily, he would still act in the position.

No matter the front, internally such issues rankle, much like killing the donkey after the grind is done.

"The leader has their reasons for this arrangent. We subordinates shouldn’t speculate, and I can plainly tell you, I won’t sign this docunt, and even if I do, it won’t an anything!" Guo Wen was displeased, but understood the overall situation.

Clearly, Liu Jun and his people were taking advantage. Guo Wen didn’t know how they convinced the higher-ups, but if Long Bing’er were still in charge, this would never have happened. That’s why Liu Jun approached him.

"Brother Guo Wen, that response won’t do. You’ve read the docunt, so you know it must be signed today. The delay was because the leader was absent, but today is the deadline; I’m sure you don’t want a forced signature." Liu Jun, unfazed, smiled at Guo Wen.

"And if I don’t sign today?" Guo Wen, already in a bad mood, bristled at the thoughtless public demand, making the threat intolerable.

Feeling cornered, Guo Wen coldly responded to Liu Jun’s threat.

"In that case, I’ll have to force you to sign. Whether you sign or so sudden deputy does, it’s the sa result for us." Liu Jun sighed at Guo Wen.

As he finished, the suited n beside him stepped forward to seize Guo Wen.

However, those in the Dragon Sect aren’t easily underestimated. If that were so, they wouldn’t be here.

"I know how you feel, but I can plainly tell you this docunt has the higher-ups’ approval. If you resist, you’ll end up in big trouble. So better not to involve yourselves and court trouble." Liu Jun warned the restless Dragon Sect mbers.

After all, this was the Dragon Sect headquarters; if they decided to act, his team wouldn’t stand a chance.

"Courting death!" Guo Wen noticed their hesitation but said nothing further; he didn’t want them to suffer because of him.

He knew there’d be no good outco for them. Besides, Liu Jun had spoken so truth.

So Guo Wen faced the n, eyes cold, and struck out fiercely.

His opponent raised a fist in retaliation.

"Boom!" A loud noise echoed in the hall. Liu Jun staggered back, face pale, finally steadying after retreating ten steps.

Yet his opponent stood firm, highlighting the stark power difference; just one against many, he’d have no chance.

Guo Wen, struggling with trembling limbs, pale-faced, glared at the suited n, keeping Liu Jun in his peripheral vision.

"Liu Jun, I told you, no matter what, I won’t sign today." Guo Wen gritted out.

"Brother Guo Wen, you’re stubborn, but I’m curious about your family’s wellbeing. If things aren’t handled, the repercussions could be severe." Liu Jun remarked, still smiling.

"Are you threatening ?" Guo Wen’s eyes turned icy as he questioned Liu Jun.

"If that’s how you take it, I don’t mind." Liu Jun shrugged regretfully.

"You’re courting death!" As Liu Jun finished, Guo Wen lunged without hesitation.

Mid-charge, Liu Jun’s n blocked his path again.

Unfazed, Guo Wen shouted and attacked with both arms.

"Boom!"

Another crash followed; Guo Wen flew back, landing heavily.

"Ugh!" Standing with difficulty, Guo Wen spat blood, his face ashen.

"Brother Guo Wen, was this necessary? It’s just a signature, why create such a scene?" Liu Jun said, lanting Guo Wen’s state.

As he spoke, Liu Jun approached, holding the docunt and pen, clearly intent on forcing Guo Wen’s hand.

Liu Hun had intended to inquire about Long Bing’er’s whereabouts, and call if no one knew, though that would leave him vulnerable.

But Liu Hun hadn’t expected today’s encounter.

As Liu Jun reached Guo Wen, forcing a signature, Liu Hun calmly stepped forward, addressing them: "Hold it!"
