Chapter 739: Chapter 687: Miracle

Chen Lao Yezi faced nothing in his life with fear except for the dostic affairs of his household.

A family too large, mbers would disregard everything for the sake of personal gains. While he was still alive, perhaps matters could still be managed, but if he were gone, the family would likely face division and strife.

“Hun, what do you think of this matter?” After pondering for a mont, Chen Lao Yezi then turned his gaze to Liu Hun.

Seeing the hope in the old man’s eyes, Liu Hun was slightly startled and then bowed in response, “Grandfather Chen, concerning your family’s dostic affairs, it’s not my place to comnt as an outsider, and I am also not familiar with your family’s issues. But I know that as long as there is the slightest hope, we should not give up.”

“Did you all hear that? Even as elders, none of the younger ones see as clearly. I don’t want to deal with those family matters, but since Hun is ngng’s boyfriend, he is not an outsider. Since Hun has this intention, whether it succeeds or fails, what does it harm?” Chen Lao Yezi coldly surveyed the people present and admonished them.

“Hope? This is cancer, an incurable disease worldwide, where does this hope co from?” Chen Wen’s wife looked at Liu Hun disdainfully.

Chen Lao Yezi enjoyed Liu Hun’s company, and since Liu Hun was Sun ngng’s boyfriend, if Chen Lao Yezi were to pass away, by that ti the distribution of the family assets would likely favor Chen Feifei and her family heavily. Thus, at this juncture, she would not allow such a thing to happen.

“Slap! You shouldn’t talk like that!” Chen Wen, noticing the cold look on the old man’s face, turned and slapped his wife across the face.

Having been slapped by her husband, and seeing the displeased look on the old man’s face, she realized her mistake and dared not speak further.

“Since I, Liu Hun, dared to speak like this, I naturally have the confidence to back it up, and since Grandfather Chen has agreed, it seems it isn’t your place to speak, right?” Liu Hun glanced around at the people present, not hiding his disgust.

“You!”

“If there’s nothing else, step aside so I can treat Grandfather Chen.” After saying this, Liu Hun disregarded the angry expressions of those present and made his way directly to Chen Lao Yezi.

“Grandfather Chen, this type of cancer is called ‘blood necrosis’ in Chinese dicine, and ‘scurvy’ in Western dicine; it results from necrosis of blood cells. So, I’ll need to do acupuncture to get your blood circulation going initially; however, it might hurt a bit, so…” Liu Hun respectfully said.

“It’s alright, your Grandfather Chen has weathered great storms all his life, a little pain is nothing, just go ahead and do it.” Chen Lao Yezi answered with a smile.

Liu Hun didn’t hesitate and nodded, then opened his acupuncture kit he carried with him. After a brief sanitation, Liu Hun’s silver needles decisively pierced into Chen Lao Yezi’s scalp one after another.

Then, Liu Hun inserted dozens of silver needles into various parts of Chen Lao Yezi’s body, filling him with needles in just a mont, making him look extrely terrifying.

Seeing Chen Lao Yezi drenched in sweat and pale, Chen Wen’s brows furrowed, and he couldn’t help but ask the old man, “Dad, how are you feeling?”

“My whole body feels hot, as if there’s fire burning in my chest, and it’s mixed with so pain…” the old man stated, breathing heavily.

“The heat throughout the body indicates that the blood is flowing quickly, which is a good sign. Just hold on for another half hour and you’ll be fine.” Liu Hun seriously said.

However, upon hearing Liu Hun’s words, Chen Lao Yezi almost fell off his chair, his eyes wide in disbelief as he asked, “Hun, are you sure it’s half an hour, not half a minute?”

“Grandfather Chen, cancer isn’t that easy to treat. If you can endure this, you could live at least another ten years more,” Liu Hun spread his hands and said with a wry smile.

“Ten more years?! Okay, then I’ll endure another half hour!” Chen Lao Yezi gritted his teeth and said.

Apart from the feeling he had just described, what was most tornting was the heat and itchiness, which made the old man want nothing more than to strip off his clothes and scratch. However, with so many younger family mbers present, he was not only embarrassed to do so, but even scared to ntion it.

Liu Hun naturally knew about the changes in Chen Lao Yezi’s body but, considering the old man’s dignity, he said nothing.

In the next half hour, the rest of the people present felt as if they were sitting on pins and needles, whereas Liu Hun appeared relaxed and occasionally sipped so tea, looking extrely carefree and comfortable.

“Hun, can you check if half an hour has passed yet?” Finally, Chen Lao Yezi, with his eyes fixed desperately on a wall clock in the room, asked Liu Hun for help.

“There should be a few minutes left,” Liu Hun responded without looking up from his seat.

“You little rascal, I’ve been watching the ti myself, hurry up and get these needles out!” Seeing Liu Hun’s deanor, Chen Lao Yezi suddenly raised his voice angrily.

Seeing the old man lose his temper, more than half of the people present felt sowhat gleeful—they had been irritated by Liu Hun for a while, and if this incident could impact Chen Feifei’s family, it would be even better.

“Grandfather Chen, didn’t you just say that this little pain wasn’t anything significant? It’s only been half an hour and you can’t take it? Moreover, the longer the ti, the more beneficial it is for your body…” While joking with the old man, Liu Hun explained.

The old man was suddenly rendered speechless by Liu Hun’s words. Fortunately, Liu Hun was already starting to remove the silver needles from his body one by one.

This ti, Liu Hun removed the needles very slowly, pausing for a mont with his two fingers on each needle.

Ten minutes later, Liu Hun, bathed in sweat and staggering a little, steadied himself against a chair, and then handed a blood-red dicine pill to the old man, nodding, “Eat this pill and your body will recover.”

Watching Liu Hun, the old man’s pupils slightly constricted, his eyes revolving before he deeply looked at Liu Hun and then swallowed the pill.

“What are you waiting for? Go check my dad’s body!” Chen Wen, seeing that the old man had swallowed the pill, frowned and sternly said to a middle-aged man beside him.

The middle-aged man then took so blood from the old man to conduct a lab test beside them. As the old man was reluctant to stay in the hospital, the family had specially hired a doctor, and they had all the necessary dical equipnt.

“It’s… it’s really recovered. This is truly a miracle!” After a while, the middle-aged man looked at the microscope, his face filled with shock.

With his words, shock painted the faces of everyone present.

“Are you sure my dad’s illness is cured?” Chen Wen suppressed the shock in his heart and continued to question the middle-aged man.

“Yes, I’ve checked it several tis. The blood tests really show recovery,” the middle-aged doctor replied, and there was sudden silence all around.

Even cancer, which all doctors in the world were helpless against, had been cured by Liu Hun in re monts. It was nothing short of a miracle.

“Scoundrel, when do you plan to marry ngng?” After a mont of silence in the room, the old man suddenly asked Liu Hun and Sun ngng.

“Grandpa, what are you talking about? ngng is still in school…” Sun ngng saw her grandfather bring up this matter at this ti, her face slightly blushing and her eyes filled with urgency.

She had only brought Liu Hun as a shield, and now suddenly this situation turned awkward and her grandpa was even rushing their marriage.

“Well, Mr. Chen, I think you might have misunderstood…” Liu Hun looked at the urgency mingled in Sun ngng’s beautiful eyes and responded with a bitter smile.

But before he could finish speaking, the old man slapped the table, glared at Liu Hun, and said loudly, “Misunderstand what? Since you’ve entered this door, you are a part of the Chen family now. ngng, rember to bring Scoundrel over more often to keep grandpa company. Alright, I’ll handle this. I’ll call Old Man Zhang to co over for a al and clear up the things between you and Zhang Chen to prevent Old Man Zhang from saying our Chen family bullied him.”

Mr. Chen finished speaking, not giving Liu Hun and Sun ngng a chance to explain, and directly walked upstairs using his cane.

Seeing the old man ascend the stairs, other mbers of the Chen family had to disperse, leaving behind only Liu Hun, Sun ngng, the couple Chen Feifei and Chen Rongrong.

“Scoundrel, ngng, what’s going on here?” Chen Feifei asked, looking sowhat dumbfounded at the two.

“Alright, my silly wife. Since Scoundrel is accepted by your dad, and ngng is not a child anymore, we old folks shouldn’t worry so much,” said Sun Dongyang as he pulled his wife and quickly left after giving Chen Rongrong a knowing look.

Only Liu Hun and Sun ngng were left, staring at each other, the atmosphere growing sowhat awkward.

“What are you planning to do about this?” Sun ngng bit her lip and asked Liu Hun.

“This ss you’ve created, what can I do?” Liu Hun rolled his eyes and responded.

“I don’t like you!” Sun ngng, angered by Liu Hun’s words, her chest heaving with suppressed rage, bluntly said.

“I don’t like you either. If you don’t want to be misunderstood now and avoid trouble later, you can go up and explain this to your grandpa now…”

“Liu Hun, are you even a man!” Sun ngng’s beautiful eyes blazed with fury.

“Whether I’m a man, as my girlfriend, aren’t you the most aware? Alright, if there’s nothing else, just stay aside, I want to rest for a while,” Liu Hun waved his hand and instructed ngng.

Watching Liu Hun’s deanor, Sun ngng stomped her foot, wanting to say sothing but found herself unable to counter.

She knew her grandfather’s temper all too well; his words were law in the house, and once he decided sothing, there was no going back.

Yet, the thought of Liu Hun being her fake boyfriend, and having to bring him ho often, filled Sun ngng’s heart with utter reluctance.
