Chapter 788: Chapter 736: Kiss
In Du Family of Huaihai Province, which once paralleled the Shen Family, the senior was even Central’s own; sadly, though the elder Shen retired, the elder Du did not.
Thus, over these years, the Shen Family was on a decline, while the Du Family still prospered.
It was said that if anyone in Huaihai Province ssed with the Du and Shen families, they couldn’t stay in Huaihai Province any longer; just this statent alone was enough to show how much power the Du and Shen families wielded in Huaihai Province.
Du Zhong’s uncle was from the Huaihai Province Discipline Inspection Commission; his power was not great but not insignificant either; however, everyone in Huaihai Province knew that Du Zhong’s uncle, Du Cheng, who just turned thirty-two, held a position in the Discipline Inspection Commission, destined for an imasurable future.
“Uncle, it was this guy who just hit , and even Uncle Yun did nothing about it, you must take charge of this for .” As soon as Du Zhong saw his uncle arrive, he imdiately began to complain tearfully, his appearance utterly desolate.
Among three generations of the Du family, Du Zhong was the only male, so he had always been the apple of the family’s eye. Before, no matter how dissolute he was, everyone turned a blind eye and paid no attention, but this ti, Du Zhong unwittingly kicked an iron plate.
“Uncle Yun, what’s going on?” Du Cheng, seeing his nephew so grievously injured, couldn’t help but question the elder beside him.
“He is very strong.” With just that sentence, the expression on Du Cheng’s face turned gravely serious; how formidable Uncle Yun was, was clear to everyone in the Du Family, otherwise he would not have been entrusted to protect Du Zhong.
That Uncle Yun would say such a thing ant that the situation was not simple anymore.
Following the sightline, when Du Cheng saw Liu Hun’s calm face, his expression instantly changed.
“Liu Hun!” Du Cheng was sowhat shocked; he had attended Chu ngyao’s wedding that day and naturally he recognized Liu Hun.
Yet, he had not expected that the person clashing with his nephew would turn out to be Liu Hun.
Although the Du Family had significant influence in Huaihai Province, it still could not compare to the Wu Family; Liu Hun could make even the Wu Family suffer, let alone the Du Family.
Provoking such a madman was definitely not a wise choice.
“Uncle Yun, what exactly happened?” Du Cheng asked gravely, looking toward the elder.
“I’m not very sure, by the ti I arrived here, I saw the young master being kicked flying by him…” Uncle Yun replied truthfully.
Du Cheng took a deep breath and glanced at Yang Yi, who was unconscious in Liu Hun’s arms, gradually understanding the situation. However, he still asked the lying Du Zhong, “What happened, if you withhold anything, for the next three months, you’re not to take a step outside!”
Upon hearing his uncle’s words, Du Zhong’s face briefly stiffened; he was well aware of his uncle’s authority at ho; once he spoke this way, there was virtually no room for maneuver.
Biting his teeth, Du Zhong looked at Liu Hun sowhat angrily and said, “Xiao Fei and I were just coming to use the restroom when we saw this girl drunk. We were going to kindly help her get back, but then this guy showed up and hit without discerning right from wrong…”
“Mr. Liu, please go and tell Uncle Liu that regarding this matter, our Du family is powerless.” Du Cheng, able to enter the Discipline Inspection Commission in his thirties, was obviously no ordinary character.
He perceived the situation at a glance and spoke sowhat coldly to Liu Hun.
Hearing this, Liu Hun was briefly stunned, gritted his teeth, and gave Liu Hun a fierce look, slightly aggrieved, but he could only leave at this point.
The Du Family had already made it clear they would not help the Shen Family; staying further would be pointless and rely humiliating.
“Uncle, you have to take charge for , otherwise, I will go back and tell Grandfather…”
“Slap!”
Before Du Zhong could finish speaking, Du Cheng harshly slapped his face and rebuked, “You good-for-nothing, do you know who he is?”
“He… he is just a small company boss, right?” Du Zhong, having been slapped by his uncle, suddenly murmured in a dazed expression.
His uncle had always doted on him from childhood and had never been willing to hit him, but this ti he truly did give him a slap, leaving him in utter disbelief.
“If he were rely a small company boss, do you think Liu Hun would be so kind as to lead you to offend him? It appears that letting you off the leash all these years was indeed a mistake; starting tomorrow, aside from school and ho, you’re not to go anywhere else!” Du Cheng looked at his nephew, who still hadn’t co to his senses, and couldn’t help but admonish him.
“In previous years, I served as a secretary under Old Mr. Chen, so everyone is not really strangers. I, Du Cheng, will just call you ‘Mixer’ for now. Today’s fault lies with Xiao Zhong, I hope you won’t take it to heart, and I will definitely punish him severely once we return.” After reprimanding Du Zhong, Du Cheng said apologetically to Liu Hun with a slight smile on his face.
“Uncle Du is too polite, as the saying goes: a gem is not polished without rubbing, and the world always can’t be covered with one hand. If in the future he offends soone he shouldn’t have, it might bring even greater trouble to the Du Family; of course, as an outsider, I am just kindly reminding Uncle Du. Since everyone is fine, I will take my leave now.” Liu Hun didn’t even glance at Du Zhong again, directly helping Yang Yi towards the private room.
“Uncle, who exactly is he, and why even you have to speak so lowly to him…” Du Zhong, seeing Liu Hun leave, suppressed the anger in his heart, his face showing a bit of sincerity.
Seeing his nephew showing signs of change, Du Cheng sighed and asked, “Do you know why Liu Hun ca to see you today?”
Du Zhong had a puzzled look on his face. Seeing that his nephew had indeed been spoiled over the years, Du Cheng reluctantly explained, “He ca because the Shen Group is about to declare bankruptcy, and all of this was caused by the owner of that small company you just ntioned; the marriage between the Shen Family and the Wu Family today was also ruined by him stealing the bride, leaving both the Wu Family and the Shen Family speechless.”
Du Cheng said this hoping to make Du Zhong realize that even the Wu Family couldn’t handle Liu Hun, let alone their own Du Family.
Unfortunately, Du Zhong did not understand the deeper aning of his words.
“Go see a doctor when you get back, and try not to provoke him in the future. He is a complete madman. I still have to report this matter to your grandfather.” Having said that, Du Cheng nodded to Uncle Yun beside him and turned to leave directly.
As soon as Du Cheng left, Du Zhong watched as Liu Hun and the others gradually disappeared from view, a cold light flashing in his eyes as he muttered to himself, “Liu Hun, no matter who you are, I, Du Zhong, will make your life a living hell!”
Liu Hun did not know that it was rely an unintentional act of his that directly led to him facing a deadly threat later on.
Returning to the private room, Liu Hun handed Yang Yi over to a few of her subordinates, saying, “I just saw Miss Yang drinking too much by the restroom door. You guys take her ho to rest.”
After Yang Yi and the others left the private room, Liu Hun then instructed Little Five beside him, “Little Five, you stay and recover in Huaihai Province for now, and also look after Miss Yang. I’m worried that after this incident, neither the Shen Family nor the Wu Family will let her off easily.”
“Yes, Brother Fei,” Little Five replied respectfully to Liu Hun.
Now that there was nothing much left in Huaihai Province, Liu Hun drove straight back to Southeast Province with Chu ngyao overnight.
“ngyao, I want to pursue a political career next!” On the highway driving toward Southeast Province, Chu ngyao suddenly said seriously to Liu Hun.
Hearing this, Liu Hun paused slightly, glanced at Chu ngyao in the passenger seat, and smiled faintly, “Haven’t you always been on that path?”
“You know what I an. I don’t just want to be a village chief in Shanghe Village,” Chu ngyao shook her head as she continued.
After she finished speaking, Liu Hun pulled over to the side of the road, gazing into the strong-willed eyes of Chu ngyao. He knew that no matter what he said next, Chu ngyao had likely set her heart on this and wouldn’t back down.
“ngyao, it’s really not necessary. Staying in Shanghe Village, you’ll at least be safe, and it won’t be long before Shanghe Village gets built up. Then, no one will dare to belittle you as the village chief,” Liu Hun said with a bitter smile, making a final effort.
Chu ngyao did not respond this ti, just locking eyes with Liu Hun.
“If you really must take this path, at least wait until Shanghe Village is developed. By then, your promotion will co much faster.” Eventually, Liu Hun could only agree.
“Thank you, Hunzi,” Chu ngyao said, her lips curling into a slight smile as she wrapped her arms around Liu Hun’s neck and kissed him on the lips.
After the kiss, Chu ngyao was stunned for a mont, looking at the face that had filled her thoughts for many nights from up close. A blush crept onto her face as she gently closed her eyes and leaned in for another kiss.
Liu Hun had wanted to refuse, but seeing Chu ngyao’s exquisite face up close, he couldn’t help but smile bitterly. To her, he was her last resort, and rejecting her now might lead to her overthinking.
Their lips touched, sending a soft and slightly cool sensation straight into the neural centers of their brains.
Chu ngyao awkwardly slipped her tongue into Liu Hun’s mouth, and he did not refuse. Amidst the heat of the kiss, her hands began to wander over his body.
Although it was her first ti, she managed to follow her instincts.
As Chu ngyao’s hands slowly moved towards Liu Hun’s abdon, he suddenly let go of her.
“What’s wrong?” Chu ngyao’s blush hadn’t faded yet, and her eyes, filled with seduction, gazed at Liu Hun.
“ngyao, are you sure about this? I, Liu Hun, am not a good man, and I don’t even know where I’ll end up. So, I can’t promise you anything…” Liu Hun was a normal man, and wouldn’t refuse an exceptional woman like Chu ngyao making advances, but for the sake of her future, he restrained himself.
“What is life but to not think so much? Who can say what the future holds? Just like books say, ‘yesterday is mory, tomorrow is unknown, only today is a gift from above.'” Chu ngyao looked at Liu Hun earnestly.
Faced with Chu ngyao’s defiance, Liu Hun had no response.
His and Chu ngyao’s personalities were similar; once they decided on sothing, they would never change. Otherwise, Chu ngyao wouldn’t have given up her family to follow him back.
“I’ll give you a wonderful mory of this, and there’s still a lot waiting for you back in Shanghe Village, beautiful village chief. I don’t want you showing up limping in front of the villagers later,” Liu Hun said with a smile, stretching out his hand to brush Chu ngyao’s smooth long hair playfully.
Just as Liu Hun finished speaking, before Chu ngyao could respond, a hint of cold severity rose in his eyes.
