When the two of them arrived at Shanghe Village, both tires of the motorcycle had already burst, making the entire vehicle resemble a heap of scrap tal.

Liu Hun tossed the motorcycle aside and quickly rushed towards his ho, not even bothering to acknowledge Chen Rongrong.

As he walked all the way ho, everything he passed had collapsed. Shanghe Village had been halfway through its reconstruction, but now everything had co to naught.

"Liu Hun... save ..." Just halfway there, Liu Hun suddenly caught sight of Aunt Huang trapped under a huge stone in the not-so-distant distance. Clenching his teeth, Liu Hun wanted to ignore her, but after taking a couple of steps, he turned back.

Though Aunt Huang hadn’t been particularly friendly when he first woke up, she had been rather nice to his family over this period. Moreover, they were all villagers; Liu Hun couldn’t just ignore her plight.

Quickly stepping up to Aunt Huang, Liu Hun said, "Aunt Huang, your leg injury is severe, don’t be anxious, otherwise the bleeding will only quicken. I’ll find sothing to help remove the rubble right away."

"Yes, yes, I’m not anxious at all." Aunt Huang’s face turned pale upon hearing Liu Hun’s words.

Liu Hun checked carefully and saw that Aunt Huang’s legs were simply pinned under the debris. Fortunately, there weren’t many stones, and Liu Hun soon found a wooden stick and managed to rescue Aunt Huang swiftly.

Observing Aunt Huang’s bleeding wounds, Liu Hun quickly tore off a piece of his clothing, then nearby found so herbs, chewing them and applying them to Aunt Huang’s wound.

"Aunt Huang, you should find a more open area. Forget it, I’ll carry you there." Without waiting for consent, Liu Hun directly carried Aunt Huang to a patch of open land before stopping.

Just as he was about to leave, Aunt Huang weakly said to Liu Hun, "Liu Hun, you must have co back to find your parents, right? I think I saw your parents head to Uncle Li’s house."

"Thank you, Aunt Huang, I’ll head there now." After saying so, Liu Hun quickly made his way towards Uncle Li’s house.

Arriving at Uncle Li’s place and seeing the pile of rubble before him, Liu Hun’s face turned even paler.

"Dad, Mom!" Liu Hun shouted loudly.

He called out for a long ti but received no response. Just as he was about to return ho to see if his parents were there, Liu Hun’s peripheral vision suddenly caught sight of a kettle on the ground.

Liu Hun knew this kettle well; it was the one his dad always used at ho!

"Dad, Mom!" Liu Hun shouted again, randomly grabbing a wooden stick and prying open the debris piece by piece.

After almost half an hour, Liu Hun finally saw his parents’ figures amidst the ruins, noticing that they were unconscious in the cellar but otherwise unhard. Liu Hun let out a sigh of relief.

At this mont, Liu Hun felt a sense of gratitude in his heart. Had he ignored Aunt Huang, he wouldn’t have known that his parents were at Uncle Li’s house, trapped in the cellar.

"Could this be what they an by good deeds getting rewarded..." Liu Hun muttered a bitter smile, slowly moving away the debris.

"Son... Liu Hun, why are you here?" Once Liu Hun had cleared all the debris, his parents finally regained consciousness.

Seeing Liu Hun, his mother weakly inquired.

"Dad, Mom, let get you up first." Liu Hun avoided answering, pulling them out of the cellar.

Just as he rescued them, the ground began to tremble again, nearly causing his parents to fall. If not for Liu Hun’s tily support, they might have fallen back into the cellar.

"I’ll get you to safety first!" Steadying himself, Liu Hun observed the ruins around him shaking again. Holding his parents close, he quickly made his way to an open area.

As soon as the three of them steadied themselves, the pile of rubble behind them collapsed instantly. Witnessing this, Liu Hun couldn’t help but secretly breathe a sigh of relief.

Luckily, they had moved in ti; otherwise, the three of them might have been in danger.

"Uncle Li... Uncle Li might still be inside..." Liu’s father looked around at the surrounding ruins, his face showing concern.

"Dad, Mom, find a safe open area for now. When I rescued you, I saw that Uncle Li had already died." Liu Hun, his face pale, solemnly told his parents.

"He’s just gone like that... Uncle Li was the oldest in our village, and he called us over today to give us vegetables. I never thought..." There was a trace of sadness in Liu’s mother’s eyes.

"The dead can’t be brought back to life, and fate is fate. There’s no one to bla for this. I still have to save ngyao; please find a safe spot to stay. I’ll handle the rescue efforts later." After speaking to his parents, Liu Hun hurried towards the villa.

Arriving in front of the villa, watching it collapse with a thud, Liu Hun closed his eyes gently, feeling a sting in his heart.

With the villa’s collapsed state, the chances of Shen ngyao and Bai Xue surviving were nearly zero since the villa, unlike Uncle Li’s house, had no cellar.

"ngyao!" Liu Hun shouted twice, but still received no response.

"It won’t happen, ngyao will be fine!" At this mont, Liu Hun finally realized how important Shen ngyao was in his heart.

All along, ever since Yao Yu ca into his life, Liu Hun instinctively felt a bit guilty towards Shen ngyao; but in his heart, Shen ngyao was the woman he t after his rebirth, so she held the most important place in his heart.

With bloodshot eyes, Liu Hun picked up a wooden stick and frantically began to dig out the pile of rubble bit by bit; when the stick couldn’t pry it loose, Liu Hun used his hands to move it away.

In a short ti, Liu Hun’s hands were already mangled, covered in crimson blood.

But he didn’t care and continued to move each stone away.

Before long, the two elders also arrived on the scene. In their eyes, Shen ngyao was their daughter-in-law, and naturally, they didn’t want anything to happen to her.

"Liu Hun..." Seeing her son’s mangled hands, Liu mother imdiately broke into tears, her heart aching.

"You stay aside and don’t make trouble for our son, I’ll help too!" Liu father, seeing his son like this, didn’t hesitate. After instructing Liu mother, he joined Liu Hun to move the stones away piece by piece.

After nearly an hour, the father and son finally cleared half of the rubble from the pile of ruins.

"Liu Hun..." Through a gap, Shen ngyao’s weak voice instantly reached Liu Hun’s ears, and hearing it, a glimr of joy imdiately appeared in his eyes. Ignoring his mangled hands, he used all his strength to forcibly pry open a stone that was more than a man’s height.

"ngyao!" After opening the huge stone, Liu Hun saw Shen ngyao’s legs trapped under a stone, bleeding profusely, similar to how Aunt Huang had looked earlier.

When the earthquake struck, at that ti, Shen ngyao and Bai Xue knew they couldn’t run out, so they hid in a corner. When the house collapsed, it ford a triangular space; though Shen ngyao’s legs were trapped, her life was not in danger.

"Don’t worry, I will get you out of here!" Liu Hun said quickly, trying to comfort Shen ngyao upon seeing the fear in her eyes.

"You save Bai Xue first, she’s just fainted and isn’t injured, besides, there might be aftershocks coming." Shen ngyao mustered a smile and told Liu Hun.

"Rumble..." Just as Shen ngyao finished speaking, another aftershock indeed occurred.

Liu Hun steadied himself and, seeing his father struggling to stand, grabbed him and tossed him onto a patch of grass in the distance.

After doing all this, Liu Hun didn’t hesitate a bit and quickly jumped into the cramped space.

Just as he jumped in, a giant slab of stone ca crashing down toward Liu Hun.

"Mm..." Liu Hun let out a soft groan and spat out a mouthful of crimson blood.

"Liu Hun!" Watching Liu Hun use his back to support the massive slab, tears stread down Shen ngyao’s face, full of worry and concern for him.

"I’m fine, just now I probably can’t save you anymore," Liu Hun gritted his teeth to hold the slab, a pale smile appearing on his face as he spoke softly to Shen ngyao.

"I don’t want you to rescue , why are you so foolish?" Shen ngyao cried, speaking softly to Liu Hun.

"The hero saves the beauty; maybe the beauty, in her joy, will promise herself in marriage," Liu Hun quipped with a slight smile.

Since they first t, Liu Hun often teased Shen ngyao with this line, and she had grown quite used to it over ti, but at this mont, her heart was filled with warmth and gratitude.

"If we make it out alive, I will definitely pledge myself to you," Shen ngyao said, her eyes filled with emotion as she looked at the mischievous smile on Liu Hun’s lips.

"Well... let’s talk about that once we get out of here. You wake Bai Xue up, I don’t have much strength now, let her loudly tell my dad to get help to rescue us," Liu Hun instructed Shen ngyao with a smile.

Shen ngyao picked up a twig from the ground and managed to wake Bai Xue, then weakly told her what to do.

Bai Xue, seeing the conditions they were in, couldn’t help but feel a surge of shock on her face.

"Mr. Liu... I’m sorry..." Seeing Liu Hun like this, Bai Xue knew he was in such a state to save them.

"I ca to rescue you two, and ngyao has promised , so do you want to offer yourself too?" Liu Hun joked.

"I..." Bai Xue blushed, knowing Liu Hun was teasing her. After pondering, she shouted to Liu father firmly.

When Bai Xue started speaking, several black lines appeared on Liu Hun’s forehead; Bai Xue didn’t speak Chinese, and speaking in English wouldn’t be understood by Liu father!

"Liu Hun, are you guys okay? I’m going to find help for you imdiately, stay strong!" Liu father, hearing Bai Xue’s voice from beneath the ruins, suddenly showed a glimr of hope in his previously lifeless eyes.
