"There are three major underground forces in Huaihai Province: one is the De Yun Society, which controls nearly half of Huaihai’s KTVs and entertainnt venues; another is the Hongxing Gang, with the most mbers, many of whom are young people, including students; and the last is Huabei Pharmaceutical Company, which is not only wealthy and powerful but also has nearly all subordinates as cultivators, making their family the strongest among these forces." Wenhua forcibly suppressed the shock in his heart and whispered to Liu Hun.

Upon hearing Wenhua’s words, a look of doubt flashed in Liu Hun’s eyes. He pondered for a mont before asking Wenhua, "Why has this Huabei Pharmaceutical Company been categorized as an underground force?"

Logically speaking, any company would be unlikely to associate with underground forces; moreover, as a pharmaceutical company, they wouldn’t necessarily need those kinds of thugs.

"Brother Tian, you might not know, but in its earliest days, Huabei Pharmaceutical Company made a living by seizing others’ businesses. Later, sohow, so masters suddenly joined them, and they gradually developed. Although it appears to be a pharmaceutical company on the surface, their origins are actually from underground money banks and casinos. To put it bluntly, the company is just a front to launder black money." Wenhua gave a bitter smile and shook his head.

To Wenhua, Liu Hun’s ambition to take over all the underground forces in Huaihai seed impossible.

If it weren’t for his uncle’s connections, he would have long been devoured by those forces.

And besides, his own force was considered the weakest of all, hardly worth ntioning.

"So, how did your recent talks conclude?" Liu Hun continued to ask Wenhua, seemingly unmoved by his previous explanations.

Ever since arriving in Huaihai, Liu Hun never expected smooth sailing. Given that difficulties were to be expected, he naturally didn’t pay excessive attention to them.

As the saying goes, actions speak louder than words. How can you know the result without trying?

"Brother Tian, although I’ve promised you now, none of these forces can be offended by us, and my territory is the smallest and weakest, with nothing but a few small docks." Even at this mont, Wenhua couldn’t help but advise Liu Hun.

He hoped that Liu Hun could abandon this unrealistic idea, but sadly, once Liu Hun decided on sothing, no one could dissuade him.

"Of the several forces, the Hongxing Gang’s power should be considered the weakest, right? If we start with the Hongxing Gang, what are our chances?" Looking at Wenhua’s deanor, Liu Hun realized that this guy clearly hadn’t worked out any results with Uncle Yun.

So, without hesitation, he directly asked Wenhua.

"The reason the Hongxing Gang stands firm in Huaihai is not only because of its nurous mbers but, more importantly, those students; among the officials in Huaihai Province, almost every family has a few children, and the Hongxing Gang has them all under their control. Moreover, the gang leader of the Hongxing Gang, Hong Wenqiang, has a brother-in-law who runs a company in Beijing. We’re not very clear on what kind of company it is, but this guy is never short of money and is surrounded by many experts. It’s rumored that he has nearly a hundred firearms in his possession." Upon hearing Liu Hun’s interest in targeting the Hongxing Gang, Wenhua’s expression changed drastically.

There’s a saying that good martial arts are no match for a single bullet, and that’s not without reason. Even if Liu Hun’s strength is close to advancing to the sixth level of Innate, he is still no match against firearms.

"What about the De Yun Society?" Liu Hun asked with a frown.

"The De Yun Society is even more untouchable for us. These people have direct relationships with most of the officials in Huaihai and have a deep connection with the Hongxing Gang. Many of the venues they control also engage in drug trafficking, and they have excellent relationships with major overseas drug lords. So people attempted to challenge the De Yun Society in the past, only to have their entire families killed overnight by nurous murderers." Wenhua was almost in tears at this point.

Liu Hun had no idea how deep the waters were. If he continued down this path, one day he might end up going down with Liu Hun completely.

But it was too late for him to regret now.

"According to what you’re saying, we can’t afford to offend the Hongxing Gang, we don’t dare to touch the De Yun Society, and as for Huabei Pharmaceutical Company, they’re out of our league. Then what are we doing here? We might as well just disband everyone." Liu Hun rolled his eyes and chastised Wenhua angrily.

Faced with Liu Hun’s reprimand, Wenhua hung his head without replying. These are people he truly cannot afford to offend.

"You go now and gather detailed information on these three major forces, and while you’re at it, compile all the officials in Huaihai for as well," Liu Hun instructed Wenhua.

"B-Brother Tian, what do you intend to do?" Wenhua asked Liu Hun, a bit apprehensively.

It was only at this mont he realized that if there was anyone in the world who was truly fearless, it had to be Liu Hun.

Previously, Wenhua thought he was bold enough, but compared to Liu Hun, he was just a minor wizard before a great sorcerer.

"Just follow my instructions. I, Liu Hun, am not so foolish as to gamble with my own life. You can rest assured about that," Liu Hun said to Wenhua.

Hearing this, Wenhua quietly breathed a sigh of relief, believing that once he handed over all the information to Liu Hun, he would probably abandon this unrealistic idea.

But unfortunately, at tis, thoughts are always beautiful, while reality is invariably harsh.

As soon as Wenhua left, Liu Hun switched rooms with Uncle Yun, and then looked at Uncle Yun and asked, "Uncle Yun, what do you think about this matter?"

"Are you sure you want this old man to speak, young master?" Uncle Yun hesitated for a mont before looking at Liu Hun and asking.

"Feel free to speak." Liu Hun nodded at Uncle Yun.

"I have heard so stories about these three major forces. As long as they don’t cause any major disturbances, the authorities generally won’t interfere. Huaihai Province is near the coast. Although the economy and culture have developed rapidly, it is a mix of good and bad. There are so things that the authorities are well aware of but have yet to resolve." Uncle Yun spoke unhurriedly about these matters.

"I understand this logic, naturally. So things can never be completely eradicated. After all, if you step on one ant, countless others will erge. Rather than that, it’s better to keep them under control." Liu Hun nodded and said.

"Young master is wise." Uncle Yun didn’t forget to flatter Liu Hun at this mont. When he saw Liu Hun roll his eyes, Uncle Yun coughed lightly and continued, "But regardless of the person or force, there are always flaws. And young master, you have nothing to lose in Huaihai. If you fail, so be it; it doesn’t matter."

"Uncle Yun, it looks like we see eye to eye, but you got one thing wrong. I can’t fail; I can only succeed." After Liu Hun spoke, a cold light flashed in his eyes.

"Young master..." Uncle Yun, looking at Liu Hun’s expression, slightly furrowed his gray eyebrows, not fully understanding what Liu Hun ant.

From the ti he followed Liu Hun until now, though not very long, it wasn’t short either. However, he could tell that Liu Hun was definitely not soone who acted rashly. But right now, Uncle Yun couldn’t quite understand.

"Do you know what I just discovered from those cultivators under Wenhua?" Liu Hun took a deep breath and looked at Uncle Yun with a serious expression, asking.

Uncle Yun pursed his dry lips, waiting for Liu Hun to continue.

Liu Hun turned around, looked out the window with a bit of lancholy and bitterness, and said softly, "I once heard about a study where a part of the human brainstem was removed, and then, using the power’s force, their mory was completely erased, leaving them with nothing but to follow orders."

"How is this possible? Who dared to do such a monstrous thing?" Uncle Yun’s face also beca sowhat horrified at this mont.

As an older man, Uncle Yun understood things as easily as Liu Hun understood als he had eaten more than the salt Uncle Yun had consud.

"A high-ranking secretary of Huaihai Province could not possibly do these things; soone very close to died by their hands, so I cannot fail." Liu Hun replied.

"Is this young master’s purpose for coming to Huaihai?" Uncle Yun finally understood why Liu Hun was determined to step into this muddy water back then.

If Liu Hun had stayed in Southeast Province, even if he offended prominent families like the Du, Wu, Tong, and Shen families, they still couldn’t do anything to Liu Hun.

But ultimately, he ca anyway.

"Exactly. Although the underground forces in Huaihai can’t be of much use to , at least there’s a foundation; if I can’t even subdue a few small underground forces, then there’s no hope for revenge in the future." Liu Hun’s eyes flashed with a hint of killing intent. After speaking, he lightly closed his eyes.

"If the young master insists on dealing with a few major gangs, perhaps this old man can lend a hand. I know a kid in the Hongxing Gang, who is now considered Hong Wenqiang’s trusted subordinate. If you can take care of Hong Wenqiang, then I can handle the rest for you." Uncle Yun looked seriously at Liu Hun and said.

Taking care of Hong Wenqiang is indeed not a simple task, since this guy has hundreds of guns. If he places a few snipers where he lives, going to assassinate him would be a suicidal act, wouldn’t it?

"Then thank you, Uncle Yun. Hong Wenqiang is dood!" Liu Hun turned around and thanked Uncle Yun.

Just after the two finished speaking, Wenhua hurriedly handed a stack of docunts to Liu Hun. However, when he ca in, his eyes showed a bit of fear when looking at Liu Hun.

Liu Hun naturally noticed this with the corner of his eye. While looking at the docunts in his hand, he asked Wenhua, "Those guys woke up, right?"

"Yes, no, Tian Ge, I didn’t an that; you have to believe ." Wenhua responded instinctively, but realized sothing was wrong just after speaking, and his face imdiately turned sowhat pale.

As soone in a higher position, the most annoying thing is to have subordinates not trust him; Wenhua was well aware of this fact.

Earlier, he went to see those subordinates and asked so questions, clearly indicating he didn’t fully trust Liu Hun. If Liu Hun got upset now and directly activated the Gu Worm in his body, then Wenhua would be dood. Naturally, Wenhua didn’t want to see that happen.

"Alright, keep certain things to yourself and don’t bother ." Liu Hun said plainly to Wenhua without even looking up.

After looking through the docunts for nearly half an hour, a glint flashed across Liu Hun’s eyes, and the corners of his mouth couldn’t help but curl up slightly.
