Chun looked at the maintenance box nearby and found only a dirty, greasy rag!
Can this rag really solve the problem?
Chun tried wiping it a bit, but it had no effect, and his skill level didn’t increase at all.
Holy shit, are you kidding ? Is this ssing with or testing ?
Chun tried several other spots, but still no effect!
The key issue is, they’re not allowing to use other tools, otherwise, I have a file in my wheelchair’s trunk, and I could slowly file it!
Or maybe, take out the complete Beelzebub Gemstone, wrap it in the rag, and wipe it?
Looks like that’s the only option left.
But hold on, those Ten Lords might be monitoring! If I clean off a machine that’s been a problem for everyone else, it’ll look suspicious, won’t it?
Chun glanced around and saw many workers focused on production.
Why not chat with them? This task doesn’t restrict from chatting with other workers, and it doesn’t say wandering around the factory is a cri, right?
Chun pushed his wheelchair to a worker’s station and greeted him: "Sir!"
The worker slightly tilted his head, pointed to his earplugs, and waved his hand to indicate he couldn’t hear, then ignored Chun.
Holy shit! The factory machines are so loud there’s not even a chance for to speak?
I can’t let that stop . Even if he can’t hear, I must pretend to be chatting with him. This way, the Ten Lords watching the surveillance might think I’m learning so wiping gestures from the workers.
Thus, Chun stubbornly stayed and gestured in front of him.
That worker beca impatient! Chun’s vision exploded with red warning notifications — System Alert: Warning! Continuing to harass workers will constitute a cri of disrupting production.
Ah! Good thing it’s just a warning, better slip away and find soone else to chat with.
Now Chun has a rough understanding of Bronze City’s strict laws, which emphasize industrial production must be well-disciplined, though they’re played here rather harshly. However, co to think of it, a real-world screw factory might be stricter than prison because prison labor doesn’t have the 996 work schedule!
Wait! Work schedule? I’m already adjusting to the factory, so where will I eat and sleep after work?
Never mind, with a few hours till off work, I’ll continue faking conversations to fool the Ten Lords...
...
At this mont, tatron, who had been napping, was again awakened by a sudden event in Bronze City.
He first looked at the live report, where it seed the Chinese players forcibly lifted the sewer manhole cover and tossed fireworks in! Resulting in a thane explosion?
What? How is that possible! The sewer may have various toxic gases, but not enough to accumulate and explode, right?
Where did the thane co from? What was the purpose of the explosion?
And then, all the fire trucks went to the Church to douse it!
What’s happening here? A plan to rescue Chun?
tatron quickly found the surveillance footage of Chun in the prison canteen and was shocked to see the Bronze Flower had gone to the canteen!
tatron’s heart trembled, it was indeed Chun!
Then watching the conversation, the Bronze Flower actually promoted the head chef to level 1! As the cook said, cleaning a canteen shouldn’t lead to promotion, right? What was more shocking was that the cook actually gave Chun equipnt? Maybe, not quite equipnt?
Then checking the heavy factory’s surveillance, Chun had a new task, clearly difficult. Chun was trying to chat with other NPCs...
In short, tatron couldn’t figure out what was happening with Chun, hence he decided to personally visit the Church.
Arriving at the Church, the fire trucks were like torrential rain, washing every corner of the courtyard walls.
At the accident backyard, most fire trucks gathered, and the air still had a faint green gas lingering. Clearly, it was stench.
tatron asked a bishop present: "Bishop, what’s the situation?"
The bishop angrily said: "The adventurers in town are lawless, desecrating the Church’s majesty, they must be severely punished!"
Just like that?
tatron glanced at the player convicted on the spot for lifting the manhole cover, abruptly realizing this was a senior manager from the Royal Family branch!
tatron truly found it amusing, as he always found these Chinese players annoying, and here they were automatically venturing into prison! So, are they trying to et up with Chun in prison, supporting his rescue in this way?
Though it seems foolish, it is indeed the only way to et with Chun. But why choose fireworks, the most costly thod, bypassing other ways to et through cris?
Perplexed, tatron decided to first go and review these players’ interrogation status.
At this mont, Michael in the chat group inquired: "tatron, have you found out the situation?"
tatron then released the recording: "Seems I found sothing, but also not much, take a look yourselves..."
Afterward, tatron returned to the interrogation room to monitor the investigation, with this group of players yelling: "We’re responding to Miss Bronze Flower’s artistic initiative! Fireworks symbolize the festival, so this is festival performance art!!"
Thus, they earned the cri of "deliberately misinterpreting and defaming Bronze Flower"!
In total, they faced multiple charges — violating public transportation safety, desecrating the Church, plus this cri, indeed hard for ordinary players to bear, and arranged into the miner district where Chun was initially located.
Yet, Chun was relocated by Bronze Flower, causing a missed et-up!
tatron watched with amusent and asked: "Did anyone notice anything?"
Gabriel chuckled: "They think responding to city beauty’s artistic activities could evade cri?"
tatron sighed: "Perhaps this indeed is a small trick, they successfully evaded grave cris, using festival fireworks to avoid the explosives charge at mines."
Michael frowned: "I’m as puzzled as you are, their actions feel sowhat incongruous."
Sariel laughed: "Incongruous, so what? They’ve ended up in jail, can they form a gang and seize territory in jail?"
tatron laughed: "Maybe they plan to make Chun the center to seize territory in jail? Alright, I’ll let them know the prison’s power..."
Michael said: "Intensify the surveillance, don’t let our guard down."
"Certainly."
Suddenly, Raphael realized: "Is it possible Chun and his group are deliberately making us feel incongruous, deceiving us to intensify surveillance by dividing attention, while the real goal is to cover for Pirates coming to rescue! Considering Sariel’s high-security prison received weird impact signals, Pirates must be the main rescue force!"
Sariel then snapped to attention: "Exactly, Pirates have been infiltrating my Silver City, and with my sudden transfer of Chun, their setup was wasted. Now it seems that rebuilding plans in Bronze City indeed takes ti."
All the Lords realized: "Makes sense!"
tatron sighed: "Nearly fooled by their inept acting! If Bronze City faces trouble, Gabriel, how about transferring him there? This will also waste Pirate’s setup in Bronze City."
Gabriel panicked: "I absolutely don’t want the transfer, no way!"
Raphael laughed: "Among our four cities, only your Oak City hasn’t imprisoned Chun, isn’t it boring?"
tatron excitedly said: "Our four cities can play hot potato, wasting Pirate’s every setup halfway~"
Michael laughed: "You’re right indeed..."
...
At this point, Chun was driven away by impatient workers more than ten tis.
But Chun still had to put on a facade of having gained sothing and continued looking for the next one.
This was the 16th worker, and his attitude was entirely different from the previous ones! Could it be a triggered event?
That worker indeed stared at Chun’s wheelchair, and then took out a similar work record notebook, on which was prominently written: "Employee ID 1032, Chifanda"!
Chun was incredulous, Chifanda? The one from Black Flag Island? No, this Chifanda in front of could only be his descendant.
After all, history was altered by ti travel, even Chifanda’s wheelchair was left behind, it’s not too much to leave a descendant, right?
