Typically, a Nightmare can gain 1 Spirit point by infiltrating an NPC’s consciousness in a dream through intense soul battles, but finding such NPCs was quite difficult! It’s hard to enter a normal person’s consciousness; you must find those who are insane, ntally troubled, dim-witted, or drunkenly muddled.
So Moore’s task was to find those insane people worldwide to improve or get drunk in the tavern waiting for a drunken person to keel over. Actually, drunks were troubleso too; their consciousness world was either like the raging sea or a mush with no gain at all.
