Auric looked at his status with a smile on his face. "It’s ti."
Just like anyone else, Auric needed to maintain his elent at 100% if he wanted to evolve smoothly. However, thanks to his own perception and gathering technique, it was an easy job for Auric to reach 100%, not more, not less.
In that instant, Auric tossed the artifact away and closed his eyes. There was no avatar to summon, so he had been wondering what kind of change would occur in his body.
He wouldn’t have any evolution in his avatar, so could his elent really evolve?
The answer soon ca. Once he started circulating his lightning elent, he realized that this elent was causing sparks.
"!!!" Auric widened his eyes. There was no avatar to evolve, so the most noticeable thing would be the eruption of his elent.
This violent eruption made his elent unstable, but it was nothing he couldn’t handle.
"Hmm?" Auric’s eyebrows twitched. Because he had multiple elents, he realized that all of them sparked at the sa ti, causing an unstable eruption that wouldn’t occur normally.
Lindwurm also noticed it. Normally, people would be able to evolve without any problems if they reached the perfect number.
Unfortunately, the lightnings seed to be fighting each other, trying to get the better of each other.
Lindwurm warned, "Focus. Isolate all of them, but rember to let the elent change the energy into a higher form of elental energy. Then, use that energy to baptize the elent to let it evolve."
Auric took a deep breath. He was fully focused. He had already identified the problems, but it looked like Lindwurm was one step ahead of him in finding the solution.
Auric imdiately used the Extre Bridge Managent to first isolate the four lightning elents.
In his heart, there was a vacuum. This vacuum had been filled with nine systems, similar to a solar system.
There was one big ’sun,’ which represented the elental energy for each system. Several smaller spheres orbited their respective ’suns.’
Each system represented one elent. Thus, Auric first isolated the four spheres orbiting the giant magical energy. Then, he created a channel to direct their power to the magical energy.
He carefully used their ferocity to turn the magical energy into its new form.
Now that there was a barrier that separated them, each individual lightning elent didn’t attack the other lightning elents.
Auric could feel his body gradually calming down. Normally, this process would be handled directly by the avatar. The avatar would upgrade the magical energy, and the magical energy would then baptize the avatar.
Since there was no avatar, Auric had to use the barrier as a dium or a replacent for the avatar.
Once he was done, he first had to close the channel, isolating both the elental energy and the elents.
After that, he waited for a mont to let the energy complete its evolution. Once he could feel the energy increasing in intensity, Auric paid very close attention because he had to reopen the channel the mont it stopped increasing.
He couldn’t afford to have the energy explode and shatter his barrier or even disrupt the entire system that oversaw all his elents.
Fortunately, Auric succeeded. The energy gradually flowed into the four chambers. The elents from inside the chambers struck back at first, but due to the increase in the elental energy intensity, the elental energy overpowered the elents and enveloped them.
With the elental energy’s power, the elents grew fiercer as well. Fortunately, he didn’t fail.
Both the elental energy and the elents had fully transford. After making sure nothing had gone wrong, Auric retracted his power, allowing the elental energy and the elents to establish their new connections.
As soon as this new connection was ford, the elental energy spread all over his body. Like Axel, it was washing away things that were stuck in his body, but because there was no such thing in Auric’s body, it just made Auric feel extrely refreshed.
However, there was one thing that he noticed. His eyes felt like they were burning. It was uncomfortable, but it wasn’t painful.
"Sothing is going on with my eyes..." Auric muttered, observing the situation carefully.
Luckily, the pain quickly disappeared. "They’re fine now."
Lindwurm let out a breath of relief. "Good. It looks like you’ve successfully evolved. How do you feel?"
"I can feel my power getting stronger. I feel refreshed, but otherwise, I don’t feel anything else." Auric shook his head. "I don’t see anything different. It’s weird. Sothing happened to my eyes earlier, but..."
Auric didn’t understand what was going on.
"Nevertheless, I’ve evolved. I can figure out what it is later." Auric smiled. He looked down and raised his fist. He had won, so he felt excited.
However, the mont he smiled, his eyes narrowed slightly, causing his vision to focus a bit more.
The mont the focus in his eyes changed, Auric’s vision abruptly changed. His hand suddenly beca see-through. He could see the energy flowing into his hand, then to his fist.
The energy concentrated in the area of contact as though it were sticking to the muscles that moved from the clenching motion.
"!!!" Auric widened his eyes in surprise. "What?"
"What?" Lindwurm was confused.
Auric didn’t reply. Instead, he looked at his other fist and squinted slightly. As expected, he could see through his other hand. No, his vision had beco even more controlled so that he could see the energy in his legs as well.
"This is..." Auric gasped. He hurriedly turned to Lindwurm to see what he was made of.
Unfortunately, nothing changed for Lindwurm. It was as if Lindwurm had done sothing to prevent him from being seen through.
"..." Auric was a bit speechless, but he had expected this much.
"What?"
"Nothing. I just understand what changed about my eyes." Auric smiled.
"Hmm..." Lindwurm didn’t ask further. It didn’t matter much to him. The last ti he asked, Auric even demanded that he tell him sothing in exchange for that information.
In the end, his only job was to guide Auric. Auric would be the one handling everything. If those eyes were useful, Auric would know how to handle the rest.
"So, happy now?"
"Yeah." Auric smiled. He could see a lot of things that would change from this evolution. His eyes might be able to see through one’s heart. By observing these movents, Auric might be able to complete his artificial heart.
When this thought crossed his mind, it was hard not to get excited.
Auric went to the mirror to check whether his assumption was correct.
As expected, the mont he checked his body, he could see the movent of energy within his body. The energy circulated naturally. It was slower than the flow of blood.
He didn’t even know what made them flow like this.
Still, it was clear that they were not stationary.
The density was thin, so people wouldn’t really notice them, but they moved.
His heart was even more amazing. This was where the energy was concentrated. There were nine big balls of energy hovering in his heart. Several spheres orbited these energies.
He already understood the concept, but it was still amazing to see it directly with his own eyes.
"This is ama..." Auric suddenly fell silent when he noticed sothing was going on as soon as he opened his mouth.
Just like when he clenched his fists, the energy was slightly condensed around his mouth when he was about to speak.
"This..." Auric gasped. This just confird his theory.
As an evolution master, he wondered if this kind of flow would change when he helped soone evolve. As a fighter, he could see the enemy’s movents before they even did it.
Auric raised his hand, trying to clench it. The energy moved first before the clenching motion even began.
The sa applied to his mouth.
’Do they move according to the brain? If they think they want to punch, the brain will give a signal to the body, which would result in the energy flowing into the fist naturally...’
Auric couldn’t exactly confirm this yet. Still, being able to see sothing like this was extrely useful.
In fact, he might be able to see soone’s accumulation or problems in just a single glance.
As long as he could control this ability, he might be able to defeat the so-called absolute fire with only three of his elents.
Still, his body was sowhat special. He didn’t know whether this flow of energy was made because he didn’t have an avatar.
To test his theory, he exited the room to take a look at his teacher.
Maya was sipping her wine while looking through the window. She didn’t do anything else other than wait for Auric to finish.
As soon as he ca out of his room, Maya turned around and put down her glass. "How is it?"
Auric smiled. "Yeah. I’ve successfully advanced my lightning elent. There is no trouble, so I think I can do it."
"Really?" Maya felt delighted. This ant no other geniuses could be compared to her student.
She was proud, but she felt sothing was off. Auric had been trying to squint his eyes for quite so ti. "What are you doing? Is there a problem with your eyes? Do you want to get it checked?"
"No..." Auric stood in front of her, staring at her energy. It was massive. It might have beco even bigger than the heart itself.
Maya’s eyebrows twitched. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing. I’m just thinking that you have a big heart," Auric said in a serious tone. He was talking about the energy concentrated in her heart. Auric had checked his own heart earlier, so he knew that the energy for the lightning elent was bigger than the others.
However, the size only increased by 33%. It was nothing compared to the size of the energy within Maya’s body.
Sadly, he forgot the fact that the other party didn’t know what he was talking about.
The mont she heard his words, she couldn’t help but misunderstand and pinch Auric’s ear. "You... Do you think I won’t punish you just because you are my student? You even dare to flirt with your teacher? I know my chest is big, but is that sothing you have to tell your teacher?"
"O-Ouch!" Auric closed one eye, showing visible confusion. He soon realized his words might not be appropriate. "Ah. You misunderstand. I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about the size of the energy in your body."
"Energy?" Maya raised her eyebrows. "You an..."
She first released him before narrowing her eyes, asking him to explain.
Auric sighed. "Let’s just say that my sensitivity has reached a new level. I can see the flow of energy very clearly to the point where I feel like I know what you are going to do."
"Do what?" Maya frowned.
"For example, why don’t you put your hand behind your back and raise your fingers. I will guess how many fingers you raise." Auric challenged her. It was a simple challenge. At the sa ti, it would help him understand his current sensitivity better.
Maya was confused, but she tested him. She first raised two fingers, but Auric kept staring at her abdon as he said, "Two."
Maya was bewildered. He was actually right. So, she raised two more fingers. "What about now?"
"Four."
"You’re wrong." Maya sneakily added one more finger, but Auric imdiately continued, "And you’ve just raised the fifth one after saying I’m wrong."
"..." Maya’s eyebrows twitched. It looked like this new sensitivity was the real deal. "How did you do that..."
"The energy told ." Auric shrugged as if it were the natural thing.
"You can speak with the energy now?"
"Not speaking. The energy is more honest to the point where you can just see what they’re up to by looking at their actions." Auric smiled. "For example, the energy is telling that you’re about to move your arm back to the original position."
"..." Maya was speechless because she had done exactly that right after he said those words. "Maybe it’s a future vision. You have the ti elent now, right?"
"I haven’t even checked the bag yet."
Maya paused for a mont. "Okay, then. What am I going to do next?"
"What? You are still going to do this?"
"Why not? It looks fun."
