Ethan woke up early, with the weight of two beauties in his arms.

Alice, on his right, slept peacefully against his chest.

Evelyn, on his left, was clinging to his arm, his biceps sinking between her tits and his palm nestled between her thighs.

One was delicate and gentle, while the other seed ready to tear his arm off with her embrace.

Honestly, Ethan wasn’t unhappy about it.

He wanted to stay there for the rest of the day, but he knew he couldn’t.

The Gaia system had been integrated into this world on the thirteenth day of the third moon, in the year four hundred and eighty-five of the Age of n.

Today was the twentieth, the day when, finally, the first wave of new citizens would arrive in Goldenveil.

Turning his face slightly, Ethan released his hand and slapped Evelyn’s butt.

His palm landed on that full, juicy ass with a wet smack, his fingers imdiately closing around her soft skin.

"Ughnn~~ don’t you know how to wake a woman gently?" Evelyn grunted, opening her mouth and planting an irritated bite on his chest.

Ethan closed his eyes, fighting the pain.

"We have important things to do, let’s go," he said, massaging his sore chest as he carefully freed himself from Alice’s arms without waking her.

Evelyn grunted sleepily, but eventually forced herself to stand up.

Dressed and with the skull-crushing axe at her waist, she finally felt ready.

Ethan also dressed quickly, grabbing his sword and carefully strapping it to his waist.

Soon after, the two left the lord’s mansion.

They didn’t have to walk more than a few steps before noticing a commotion outside the palisades surrounding Goldenveil, sothing that brought a smile to Ethan’s face.

In the past few days, following the great harvest that lasted two days and filled the granary with just over twenty tons of grain, the people of Goldenveil had split up to carry out the tasks assigned by their lord.

They gathered stone, wood, and fibers to make ropes and construction tools.

The many empty houses in the settlent, though abandoned, had no serious structural issues.

The repairs took only a single day, with thirty able-bodied n working, dividing themselves among the various houses and stopping only for lunch.

The harvest had lifted their spirits to heights never seen before, so keeping at work for hours on end was not difficult.

With about twenty houses ready, they had begun that day to prepare for the renovation of the Goldenveil guard barracks.

They wanted to start as soon as possible, but soon a commotion began outside the palisades, and the workers ran to see what was happening, just in ti for Ethan to arrive.

"It seems you already know what’s going on..." Evelyn murmured beside him.

"Yes, we’re welcoming new citizens." Ethan laughed, ignoring the strange expression on her face.

He had used a Pops card, which would guarantee him about twenty people the following week.

This, combined with Goldenveil’s growing prosperity and attractiveness, resulted in a weekly population increase of thirty-four people.

As they walked, Ethan’s eyes fell on Alaric, who stood in front of the gate alongside the rest of the guard.

He peered through a gap in the gate, gripping his sword tightly.

"Open the gates," Ethan ordered.

"My Lord, we don’t know who these strangers are, and if—"

"Open them, now. I’m ordering you, not asking." He repeated, releasing a thread of murderous intent.

"Aren’t you listening to the lord? Open the gate, boy." Ulric shouted at his son, who flinched, and then opened the gate.

On the other side, a group of people erged, clearly peasants.

Their clothes were ragged, and they looked hungry and sleep-deprived, as if they had been walking without rest for days.

There were five small children and two elderly people.

Everyone else was between sixteen and forty years old, strong, healthy adults, despite their malnutrition.

Ethan stepped through the gates, stopping in front of them.

"My lord..." The oldest among them stepped forward, bowing his head humbly. "We are rely humble travelers who have lost our way in this cursed forest... We have children; please, have rcy."

The old man leaned on a cane, his eyes brimming with tears.

If they didn’t find shelter soon, they would be dead.

"Don’t worry." Ethan stepped forward, taking the old man’s hand as it rested on the cane. "Co on in, I’ll have a good al prepared for you."

"Oh... thank you, my lord, thank you." The old man bowed repeatedly, drawing a smile from Ethan.

[You have accepted 34 traveling wanderers]

[Requirents to upgrade the dium-sized Goldenveil settlent to a large settlent have been t. Pay five gold coins to upgrade it]

Smiling, Ethan began to review the stats of all his new citizens.

Most had F- or E-rank talents, with only three young people possessing D-grade talents—all of them awakened, though they had never trained their auras.

Ethan wanted to try recruiting them to start building a loyal guard right away, but he knew it wasn’t the ti.

First, he needed to let them settle in. Then, he could think about recruiting them.

Turning around, he motioned for the workers to go to their hos and ask their wives to start cooking for the new arrivals.

anwhile, he divided them among the empty houses, which drew even more tears from the old man leading them.

The old man had already lost all hope, but that young lord had not only offered them food, but even houses, for free.

Was he a nobleman, or an angel?

There were a total of fifteen families, so the repaired houses were more than enough for everyone.

A little over two hours later, strong won appeared carrying a cauldron full of soup.

While the newcors filled their stomachs, Ethan sat in a corner next to Evelyn.

[Goldenveil’s average loyalty has increased! 60 -> 63]

"Hm... this is good." Ethan smiled, standing up.

"How about we go out and kill so goblins?" He turned to Evelyn, whose beautiful face lit up with surprise.
