The burial of the four bodies did not take long.
One of the elders said a brief prayer, and the adventurers were laid to rest in the Goldenveil cetery, along with all their belongings.

He was an honorable Lord, not a cheap bandit.
The sword was buried alongside the young man, and after everything was finished, Ethan ordered Doran to gather the hunters at the barracks, then went to see his wives.
He already had a plan to deal with the wolf, and with Alice’s help, that plan would be much easier to carry out.

"Are you going to put yourself in danger again?" the golden-haired beauty asked, drawing a sigh from Ethan.
"Yes, but I won’t go alone." He gently stroked her hair. "How’s the Sea of Flas spell? Can you use it yet?"
"I’ve read everything, but I haven’t tried using it yet. I think I can."
"Alright, let’s run a test. If you can pull it off, it’ll make things a lot easier for us." Ethan smiled, wrapping an arm around Alice’s slender waist and leading them both to the garden at the back of the mansion.
The space was about seven hundred square ters, more than enough for a test.
"Do you have control over the shape?" he asked.
Honestly, he hadn’t even considered the possibility of Alice failing.

"Yes, love, more than enough! Hahaha!" Ethan roared with laughter, pulling Alice into an embrace and taking her lips in a kiss.
Even Evelyn watched it all with genuine shock.
She knew Alice’s talent with mana was great, but that was too powerful to be simply called "great."
In the end, Evelyn was happy for Alice, because the stronger the two of them were, the better their chances of protecting that idiot husband of theirs from getting himself killed in so useless battle.

"When we get back." Ethan looked up at the sky. It hadn’t fully darkened yet, so they still had ti to plan. "I told Doran to gather the Goldenveil hunters. We need to prepare to kill that damn beast as soon as possible."
Silently, Alice nodded and walked alongside Evelyn, accompanying Their Man.
Doran had acted quickly, gathering all the hunters and city guards. Work outside the wall had been halted, and an order had been issued: no one was to leave until further notice from the Lord.
That heightened anxiety among the citizens, but in the end, everyone waited in silence.
Whatever their Lord decided, they were certain it would be the best choice for them.
