Ethan closed his eyes, a thread of anxiety tightening in his chest.
There was a gold mine right beneath his feet, one that could grant him incomparable power and wealth, but he couldn’t touch it. Not until he was powerful enough to hide it from the eyes of the world.
His family, the Darkwalls, also possessed such a mine. It was atop it that they had built the family’s main palace, using the underground levels to extract mana cores in secrecy.
He planned to do sothing similar in the future: a palace that would serve as the seat of governnt and, at the sa ti, as a front for the extraction of mana and aura cores, entirely under his control and completely hidden from any prying eyes.
With a weary sigh, he rose to his feet, a faint smile spreading across his face as he made his way through the lord’s mansion in search of his beautiful wives.
He found them in the garden at the back, sitting together on a wooden bench as they enjoyed the gentle morning breeze, their voices low and unhurried as they chatted.

"Fifty-five, my lord. More than I expected, hahaha," John replied with a satisfied grin.
After a brief mont of hesitation, Ethan uncorked the bottle and took a sip, letting the liquid flow over his taste buds, warm and smooth as it slid down his throat.
His aura reserves surged instantly, every drop of energy he had spent analyzing the resources around Goldenveil recovering in a matter of seconds.
It was delicious, with a moderate alcohol content and, above all, an incredible effect.
Gripping the bottle firmly, he called on the system to inspect it.
